It was absolutely magical. I had only seen his concerts in the theatres so to be there in person was something I will remember forever. I hope to someday see him in Maastricht.
We had great seats, and the sound was fantastic. He and the orchestra played a variety of music and had people dancing on the floor of the arena. Wish it was longer.
Thanks André! What a treat to see you and your JSO live. I brought my 88 yr old mother, and she was like a child during the concert, all smiles and so happy to be there enjoying such stunning music! Thank you for giving her (and me!) a much needed...worry-free, pain-free... fun night out. 👍
The concert was very short and didn't have the best repertoire Not happy this time
The location of the concert was very bad , this is a class high level end international concert , A sport arena is good just for sports or anther musical performances BUT not this one We don’t doubt that Andre Rieu gave his best and designed his concern to Canadian context by including wCanada’s anthem and Indigenous music , highly appreciated it Tge organizer chose this location to make the max $ ?? abd to have the max number of people !! Wish coming convers on this level will take this point into consideration
The concert was wonderful but I was a little disappointed that it was no where near the production from years ago at the Rogers Centre. At that time, there were skaters and dancing included in the production. I would have preferred hearing more waltzes and music from Andre and his band.. My ticket stated 5th row floor but I was disappointed to find 5th row was near the back on the floor so not a good location. Anyway al in all love Andre and his band.
First time I attended an Andre Rieu show. Although having seen many videos of him and his orchestra on YouTube, seeing them live was an unexpected and wonderful experience. I hope they will make another appearance in Toronto soon.
Toronto Performance: Rieu and the orchestra are great and I wanted to hear more of them..instrumental music. But I my opinion too much emphasis was placed on solo and group vocalists. They are good but in small helpings please and with some more ‘my generation’ music I can relate to not opera. One group sang gospel and in my opinion it degenerated into an extended performance of very high and irritating passages. These folks are very talented but it was not a segment of the show I enjoyed or was even expecting. André Rieu did not play his violin until late in the show which was unfortunate. The bagpiper and drum corps was terrific but the segment could have been longer. We did not stay until the very end chosing to leave just after 10pm. In the future we may elect to watch JSO performances online.
Andre Rieu concert was number 1 wish on my bucket list and I did it! It is impossible to describe all feelings and emotions you are experiencing during this celebration of music - you have to be a part of it! Bravo to Maestro and everyone helping him to make it possible!
Information received, navigating the app and ticket was detailed and easy to follow. Andre Rieu and his orchestra was absolutely amazing! We really enjoyed every moment of it!
We love Andre Rieu and we were happy to see him in Toronto. Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t as great. This was in part due to many uncivilized people, who either arrived late or decided to go out of the venue in the middle of a song, moving up and down the stairs. The other reason we didn’t enjoy the show was related to the gospel choir. While at the beginning, their performance was great, later on their singing became very screeching, bordering an hysterically sermon in church. The rest of the show was…as seen on TV (PBS). Same songs, same jokes. The Bolero was really great though. Andre Rieu is full of stamina and youthfulness as always. We would like to see him again, but on a smaller venue, with proper acoustics and maybe a more refreshed repertoire.
Enjoyed it immensely! I could have done without the ‘New Orleans’ type section! Would have liked more violin with Andre. It was just as I have seen on utube. It was very emotional for me. So beautiful!!! So glad we went to this concert
I recently attended an amazing concert that left me in awe of the musical talent on display. The performance itself was nothing short of spectacular, with the artists delivering an unforgettable experience that had the entire audience on their feet, dancing and singing along. The energy and passion of the performers were infectious, and it was evident that they put their hearts and souls into their music. The setlist was a perfect blend of their greatest hits and some surprising deep cuts, keeping the audience engaged from start to finish. However, while the concert itself was a true masterpiece, I couldn't help but think that it would be even better in a different venue. Don't get me wrong; the current venue was decent, but it had its limitations. The acoustics were good, but not exceptional, and the seating arrangement could be improved for a more immersive experience. I couldn't help but imagine how incredible it would be to see these talented artists perform in a more intimate, purpose-built concert hall or an outdoor amphitheater with better sound quality and a more comfortable seating layout. The potential for an even more magical experience was palpable. In conclusion, the concert itself was absolutely incredible, and I left with a sense of euphoria. However, I couldn't help but daydream about how this phenomenal performance could be elevated to new heights if it were held in a different, more suitable venue. Regardless, it was an unforgettable night of music that will stay with me for a long time.
I’m so pleased because I’m born on the same day as He is. He’s a shiny person in a today’s darkness . Concert itself excellent.
I really enjoyed the concert. Would go again. There was a lot of enthusiasm in the audience and people dancing in the isles. I loved the bagpipers
My husband and I enjoyed watching Andre Rieu’s concerts on TV for many years. When we found out that he was coming to Toronto, we bought our tickets in Dec.2022. We were very excited on the day of the concert. When we heard the music, and saw Andre and the members of the orchestra coming down the isles the feeling was overwhelming. Everything was just flowing. We loved the diversity of the music selection, one performance better than the other. It was an amazing concert. Unfortunately, there was a spoiler.. seated behind us was a family with a TWO years old child. There was loud talking, crying, and continuous chair kicking. The child was just being a two year old. The parents are the ones to take a blame. They are the ones who made a very bad choice to bring a small child to a concert, that started at 7:30, and ended at 10:00pm. When this happens on the plane, you feel sorry for the parents because they don’t have a choice. We bought a tickets and wanted to fully enjoy the performance, but that was taken away by other patrons making a bad choice. I think that some restrictions should be posted for certain performances. Maybe no children younger than 7, or something similar.
Amazing talents, entertaining, glorious and classy performances! I enjoyed every second of it!
It was amazing performance! Definitely will go next time!
Overall very happy with the experience. The lines were super long getting in but the arena made every effort at getting us in quickly and redirected people to other doors so that everyone got in in a timely manner. Once in and seated, it was really nice that the concert started on time and the show and crowd were very lively and engaging. It was a fun experience seeing the group live and my mum and I enjoyed it a lot.
Absolutely amazing performance. Great orchestra, great conductor.
