Most Excellent concert. Thoroughly enjoyed it as did everyone there, the boys can still rock and have the vocals to pull it off after all these years! It was great and would go again. Could have been longer!!
these guys put on a wonderful show wouldn't have missed it for the world . had not seen them live since the 80s they brought back memories i have forgotten for years thanks April Wine ROCK ON
This show was not killer at all. The band didnt start to actually rock until near the end....seems like Myles was off tonight....he needs to take a 5 hour energy drink prior to the show!!!!
Completely outstanding!!!! They played exactly what we all wanted to hear and sounded amazing.
After all these years Myles is still great. They pulled of a great show, despite the fact Myles was deeply upset of Jim's death. They can still play!
April Wine has not been the same since Jerry Mercer retired. Their new drummer is competant enough, but he doesn't drive the band like Mercer used to. As for solos, no one save for maybe Bonzo Bonham, puts on a show-stopping, soul-pounding solo like Jerry Mercer. Does AW still rock? Oh yeah. Only now they're like a sweet sports car without the souped up engine.
First of all 3 of us went to the show last year, my friends bought the seats in 3rd row, I bought the seats this year, and fate had it the exact seats of the 3rd row again. Myles was in great form, must have been feeling great. This energy must be felt by the rest to step up, great drum solo. Very special treat with Dave Henman to be there and do 2 songs. Down to earth band. Canadian rock bands rule!
We seen April Wine for the first time at LuLu's in Kitchener a few years back. I have them on my IPOD and listen to them everyday. They sound great.... Perfect way to spend a night with my sister Sue, my brother in-law Rod and my bestest friend Cathy (Happy Birthday again Cath). Keep Rockin guys!
I have not seen April Wine Live since high school. They were amazing then and still are today.I took my 27 year old son with me and he found them amazing. It was great that one of the origanal members was there after not playing live with them since 1973
what a great show! so loud! they connected with the audience, which was awesome. played some rare songs. i went in with high expectations for this band, and they far exceeded them.
good old classic rock... amazing what three guys with guitars and a drummer can do.... excellent show, excellent venue.... would go again in a heartbeat....
Long time, no see. But it was just like being back in our home town arena of 3000 people and reliving the great concerts. Brian Greenway has to pick it up though. He seemed a little lagging behind the others in terms of playing. Singing was outstanding though.
Really good, played all the songs you wanted to hear, however the vocals for Fast Train weren't as crisp as you would've liked. In all an amazing performance, great connection with the crowd :)
It is such an awesome experience to watch and listen to a vintage group that remains professional and worth every moment of time. April Wine was always a favourite group of mine and their talent for writing memorable songs that express life inspires me to reflect and to smile. This is my second time seeing them in concert and it only strengthens the enjoyment I derive from their music!
Great night!! Great memories!! Great venue!! I have as much fun now watching April Wine as I had back in the 80's.
My husband and I have been fans of April Wine since we were in high school. It was a step back in time listening to the old tunes. Love that Rock & Roll.
Have never seen them live but wow I really enjoyed it.
With age , most groups have a hard time hitting some notes, and April Wine was no exception. And guess what, I can't party like I did 40 years ago either. I was very surprised that they were able to do most of their extensive list of hit songs just as well as they used to, and some to the point of sounding better than studio versions. Had a great time.
April Wine was so tight! They played an awesome gig; no disappointments and I would definately go see them again. Thanks guys!
