An amazing tennis experience at Rogers Cup. Will go every year. Only parking is painful and very expensive.
If you love tennis, you must visit Rogers cup. There is so much to do, see and learn.
We have supported the tennis for over 15 years, but the quality of the event is getting worse every year. We tried calling the stadium after we lost a jacket there with house keys, and no one (from Aviva Centre or Tennis Canada) is available to answer an email or the phones... They must all be on vacation...
As a die-hard tennis fan, I loved every bit of my first ever visit to tej Rogers Cup venue!
Saw some very competitive matches and even a major upset. Good grounds sponsors. Quality food. And they even let you bring water (in clear plastic) and food in with you (not like other sporting events). However, we were unable to see the doubles we wanted to because of scheduling between singles and doubles (maybe something that can be better addressed when the same players are scheduled for both).
Well organized event and best ever game. Great seats for the price; good distance and good location, no sun in your eyes.
Well run. The fan area was really interesting and enjoyable. The matches I saw were exciting. I enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely return
First time to the Rogers Cup in Toronto! What a fabulous experience when you're a die-hard tennis and Nadal fan!
Terrible start to event. I purchase most of my event tickets from Stubhub & have never had a problem. This time I purchased from Ticketmaster way back in March & expecting to have no issues. On arrival one ticket was not scanning & saying we had already entered. We had to wait 20-25min for the staff to investigate before finally being told they didn't know what was wrong just go to your seats. Do to this delay we missed the first 30min of the match. When we get to our seats, there are two large speakers only steps away from our seats blaring loud music continuously into the village area ( area with food, drinks, shopping etc) This music is great if I'm at a club but I went to watch tennis!!!! No way you can focus on the tennis with the noise. Also there was a metal bar right in front of my son, blocking the view. If tickets are going to be sold with these obstructions & noise the customer should be warned during purchasing of such seats so you aware. Terrible experience!
There is a large sign at court level at the north-east corner of the stadium. At every changeover, a security guard went and stood right in front of it, so that nobody on the west side of the court could read it. Please, please have him stand somewhere else. Also, at the end of the tournament, there was a long wait for the shuttle buses. This is a recurring problem. Last year it was just as bad, and indeed worse since it was pouring rain. I wonder whether it would be better if the buses were spread out. I was going to Lot C, but that bus had to wait for other buses to clear before another could pull up. When I pay almost $600 for a pair of tickets, I deserve better parking. Maybe these very expensive tickets should include parking in Lot A.
Aviva centre is a perfect venue for tennis with more leg and seat room than most new sports venues. Great sitelines. The event seemed to be well run. My only criticism would be the concessions in the stadium were poor even by sports stadium standards. long lines limited selection. We ordered at our seat from the 3 options were awful and when i lined up for 15 minutes to get some fries to fill the void and when I got there, they had run out! One type of beer and sweet sickly California wine, which given the current trade situation Tennis Canada shouldn't be promoting.
I had a great time as usual.the constant upgrades and additions of stuff to and enjoy is great
Everything was perfect. The seats, the matches and the food. You should go.
Awesome game until they have to suspend it because of the rain. Otherwise, it was great to see Nadal play!
Everything was fine, parking, staff, just the beer price have to be adjusted!
We purchased 7 tickets in the same row but when we got there.... 2 seats are double booked. We checked the e-tickets from the other parties and it was showing same seat details. Then we went to a staff member for clarification. He said this happened. We need to go down to their ticketing office to sort it out. The game has already started. By the time we sort it out, probably game over. Thanks to the other party, they moved to other empty seats. If the online booking system is flawless, double booking should not have happened. Secondly their staff should have better training and instructions to deal with this type of situation. A supervisor should have been called to where we were to solve the issue instead of telling us to go to the ticketing office for resolution. Disappointing experience with Ticketmaster booking!
I've been to Rogers' Cup before but don't remember all the warm-up spots being as well labelled with who will be warming up at what time as they were this year. While we weren't able to watch Shapo, my grandson was thrilled to see him warm-up and get his autograph to boot. Lots of fun things to do in between games as well. The only thing I would recommend is to inform staff of how to access the York University Subway, Go Buses, etc. The Pioneer Village subway route to Aviva was well guided with signs everywhere, but there were no such signs to the York University Subway or Go Buses. There were also lots of people who were lost getting to their parking spots so the walking routes to those spots should also have signs
Excellent atmosphere. Amazing volunteers. Food overpriced and very bad quality.
The tournament is an excellent chance to go throught the wirld of tennis and tou can approch to tennis players.
Each year the ticket prices increase and the vendors price their merchandise as high as possible. It's way too pricey. The seats are also not comfortable for the price.
