WICKED is a Tony-winning sensation that has been defying gravity and delighting Broadway audiences since 2003. With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman, the fantastical prequel to The Wizard of Oz was nominated for 10 Tony Awards after it opened at the Gershwin Theatre in New York City, and won three, including Best Actress for Idina Menzel, who played the original Elphaba. The musical’s first national tour opened in 2005 and ever since, WICKED’s touring production has criss-crossed North America offering theatergoers one short day in the Emerald City filled with magic, music and the ”untold true story of the Witches of Oz.” The second national tour — known as the “Munchkinland Tour” — has been an open-ended production since 2009 and now stars Olivia Valli as Elphaba and Celia Hottenstein as Glinda.

I enjoyed the show immensly. The actors were great, and their voices were awesome. Show was comincal and engaging!
My wife and I went to this here in Calgary, AB, Canada and oh my god, was it ever magnificent! We'd just discovered a family member was lost a couple hours before we were to attend, and we were so down, but quite soon after Wicked began, we found ourselves forgetting the bad things for awhile--This production is so very good that it took us to a beautiful place mentally and beyond! By far, the best production I've ever seen!
From the open bar to the final note, Wicked kept me spellbound n my intensity grew as I felt I was part of the show. The Actors drew you into it n the songs only added to my enjoyment. I'd recommend it to all my friends n would see it again!! You leave it feeling Happy n n I still hear the great songs. Go see Wicked n enjoy the Witches!!!!
Wicked was a fantastic show. The performers, the stage, the costumes were all top notch. I have seen this in NYC on Broadway and Canada Broadway was in no way a disappointment by comparison. I would highly recommend this event. It is well worth the ticket price.
Had never seen the play before, but knew a couple of the songs. The stage and effects were brilliant and the cast was out of this world. Only complaints being the acoustics are not the best. We were up in the first balcony and found we had to strain to hear the lyrics. Only really affected when the chorus was singing and when Glinda was singing some of the higher octave type songs (hope that makes sense - haven't had my coffee yet) Will definitely be purchasing the soundtrack. I was slightly disappointed by Defying Gravity - the rendition was interesting and well done, but not how I like it song. That is just a personal preference - the actress has a stunning voice
Amazing talent! Great voices! Story was unbelievable!
Absolutely fantastic! I would recommend that people attend this performance while it is still in Calgary. Stage was well built and loved all the sound effects.
If you get the opportunity go see "Wicked", it is an amazing show! The actors, story and music were incredible!!
It's wonderful and unforgettable! I will recommend my friend to see it! We all like it!
We attended a matinee, very enjoyable . The lead singers were amazing.
My son and I loved Wicked. The story line was original and the dialogue and songs were filled with humor and pathos. The costumes were incredible and the set was gorgeous. I would highly recommend Wicked. It was hugely entertaining.
This was the second time my husband and I saw Wicked. It is a show that has so many layers to enjoy - the visuals are wonderful, especially the climax of the first act, the costumes are clever, colourful and engaging, the psychological aspect of two sides of people, the good and the evil, are haunting. An amazing show that we enjoyed the second time as much as the first time in San Francisco.
Singing, dancing, special effects, costumes and some philosophy all presented wonderfully. Thank you to the amazing people who created this show, both cast and crew.
I can sum it up in one word...Amazing. See it if you can.
One of the best experiences I have ever had so far in my life! Truly Impeccable! Life altering performance!
Loved it all: the acting, singing, storyline, costumes, musicians, dancers, lighting. Didn't know what to expect and I was blown away by the whole experience. Highly recommended!
Beautiful music, wonderful acting, light hearted fun! I will see Wicked again as soon as I can.
Great musical and a good story. My granddaughter was in awe. Only the flying monkeys were scary.
Singing amazing! Set amazing! Story interesting and very funny!
The show is interesting and well put together. However the emotional motifs are shallow and not developed enough. Near the end, the story moves too fast.
