Jim Cuddy and Friends were amazing!!!!!

by Poolchick on 2018-03-04Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Thoroughly enjoyed this concert. Reminded me of how much I love Blue Rodeo and in particular Jim Cuddy. His voice still moves me and seems as strong as ever. Listening to and watching his sons perform with him was a wonderful experience and I hope to see more of them. My husband and I have been big Barney Bentall fans for decades so were happy to see him as well. His voice doesn’t seem to be as strong but still enjoyed him. The music was too loud on a few of the songs during the evening so the voices were drowned out but overall the concert was great!!!

    Disappointed

by Craven70 on 2018-03-03Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Jim Cudddy’s new album is fantastic and everything he played was amazing. Had I known he was promoting his 2 boys and limiting Barney Bentall to 4 songs I may not have come.

    Did not Disappoint

by Waymich on 2018-03-03Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Great evening of music with Jim and Barney. They were amazing and the band made up of family and friends were also a pleasure to listen to. My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and this special evening will be etched in our memory for many years to come. We look forward to attending Jim’s next gig.

    Jim Cuddy

by Anonymous on 2018-03-03Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

This was truly an exceptional concert. It was a brilliant move for him to offer his CD in advance of the concert his fans could get to know the new music and enjoy the concert that much more. The mix of old and new was awesome and he's as good as he ever was. The mix of his guests and his own band including the outrageously talented Anne Lindsay made for a great evening!

Jim Cuddy: great show, poor sound quality

by mbutterfly on 2018-02-23FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - Hamilton

I was thrilled that Barney Bentall and Anne Lindsay opened the show (and played throughout it). However, after the break, when Jim and the band took to the stage, the sound quality was very poor. There were times when I could barely hear Jim, Devin Cuddy, Sam Polley, or the other performers sing. The reverb was really annoying for most of the night, and my ears were ringing hours afterward. I've seen Blue Rodeo (and many other bands and performers) at the former Hamilton Place many times, and the sound has never been like this. My friend and I were horribly disappointed. All the artists were excellent, and I would recommend every one of them, but the venue did them no favours.

    Jim Cuddy concert was excellent

by Guviemom on 2018-02-21FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - Hamilton

It was a lovely concert ... a blend of new Jim Cuddy songs from his new album “constellation” and some of the old favourite Blue Rodeo tunes. Anne Lindsay was truly amazing as his violinist/fiddler especially her solo on Five Days in May. Both of jim’s sons Devon and Sammy Pauly show much talent. The average age of concert goers would have been 55-60 I think so we felt right at home!

    Amazing Concert

by Larlen87 on 2018-02-21FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - Hamilton

We had the absolute pleasure of being a part of this fabulous concert. Jim Cuddy is such a warm and personable performer and he still has mojo to spare. The first performer was Barney Bentall. We loved his easygoing and fun approach to his music. Jim Cuddy’s band was an ever-changing, undulating spectacle. Two of Cuddy’s adult kids performed both with him and without him, and Barney joined in on a couple of pieces as well. The music was at times soft and sweet, loud and fun and all the artists had their moments to shine. Anne Lindsay is beyond magnificent on the violin (and other instruments). Her solo had the audience up on their feet for a standing ovation. The excellence of the performers, combined with the down to earth quality they all seem to possess, made this one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to.

    Jim Cuddy never disappoints!!

by Dee13 on 2018-02-21FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - Hamilton

As always, Jim Cuddy was amazing. His voice is pure and true. Anne Lindsay (fiddler / violinist) was absolutely metal, this woman can ROCK! She was a delight to watch and hear, she went off so hard during 5 Days in May that she tore the strings on her instrument, it was unreal! Jim Cuddy's sons were also in the show, and they were both great. I never get tired of listening to Jim Cuddy's sweet voice. Highly recommend seeing him the next chance you get!

Great musicians and vocalists, lots of energy (especially for 60+ performers), respect for audience, no shortchanging on length and content. Violinist was outstanding and Cuddy was great as always.

    Jim Cuddy Band was Fabulous

by Anonymous on 2018-02-19Massey Hall - Toronto

Jim Cuddy and his band with 2 sons were amazing at Massey Hall in Toronto on Valentine's Day. They were on stage close to 2.5 hours, they played new songs from Constellation, older Jim Cuddy material and Blue Rodeo. Wash me down encore was superb. If you are a Jim Cuddy or Blue Rodeo fan the show is worth seeing. Can't wait for the next time he's in our corner of the world. Thanks to my daughter for the "gift:!
