still trying to understand what Cuddy was think to when he ordered the amps to be shut off for the last song. Could not here a thing. Stupidest thing I’ve ever seen at a concert
Great show, definitely would recommend to others...
The show was amazing from the first song to the last. It was my first concert at Massey Hall....what an awesome venue. I loved the whole show, Jim was great and Barney Bentall, Sam Polley, and Devin Cuddy were a great addition. There aren't enough superlatives !!!
We have attended a quite a few concerts and i would have to say that this concert was definitely in our top 3. It was a fantastic setting, very intimate, you felt like you were at a house party. Having his sons as part of the show was very cool.
Well, you can't beat the original Massey Hall as a venue. You could tell that Jim Cuddy is worried how the upcoming renovations may negatively impact the sound/look. The music was great. Jim has such a velvety voice. His sons were a lot of fun and talented in their own right. Musicians were really good. Fiddler was a standout. Ann Lindsey? Keyboardist didn't look like he was enjoying himself.
The show was really wonderful. Felt like I was with friends listening to great tunes and feeling the love
What a special night to see Jim Cuddy with your favorite date! I am a big fan of Blue Rodeo, and this is the seocond time I have seen Jim Cuddy and his band. Always worth going to see this guy no matter who he is playing with. He has such a huge repitoire to select from, it's a real treat when he picks one you don't nornally hear live. This particular evening it was "Sad Nights". It's great seeing an entertainer who truly loves what he does - and you can see that in his performance. Keep playing Jim - you know I'll always come again...
Sound was incredible, sound was better than the CD.
Jim Cuddy is a true talent and displays a great vocal range. The show this evening was 2 hours of non stop music interspersed with some Blue Rodeo Classics. Even a casual fan would be impressed with the strength of Jim's vocal range. He is not to be missed,
JIM CUDDY AND HIS CREW WERE FANTASTIC! THIS WAS ON MY BUCKET LIST AND MY HUSBAND AND I REALLY ENJOYED THE CONCERT!! I THINK JIM AND THE CREW OUTDID THEMSELVES!!! TERRIFIC!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
This was a great way to spend Valentine's Day. Jim and the band 'rocked the house'. Anne Lindsay played her heart out! 5 stars all around.
Had an awesome time (Valentine's Day too) The talent in this band is truly amazing Jim Cuddy just gets better with time & is ageless Was an overwhelming experience that I will never forget
Wow what a great show. I have seen Jim play before but this band is his best yet. I was trying to decide if I missed Blue Rodeo as these guys were so entertaining. The highlight of the night was the violin solo on 5 Days in May. What a rush ! Jim Cuddy just keeps getting better with age... Can't wait for his next tour.
Most romantic Valentines Day I think I've had in years. Jim Cuddy's voice cut through Massey Hall like a hot knife through butter, it just melted you. The band was absolutely unreal especially Ann Lindsay on the violin! This is a concert everyone and anyone who appreciates raw talent!
I love Jim's voice, all the instruments used in the band. I will never forget the moment he had with the violinist which caused her to broke the violin strings. What a show!!!
I loved this venue. I have seen Jim SEVERAL times a year since I first fell in love in 1987! I was only 12 and my aunt took me to see him at Ontario Place. The Massey Hall concert topped my charts for Jim. It was so evident that this venue meant the world to him, being in his hometown and the history of the building as well as the obvious dedication of his fans. The last song they did totally acustic. AMAZING! They did Wash me down. WOW the look on his face whiel he performed was intoxicating! He was looking around at the audience and you could tell he was soaking it all in. Brought a tear to me eye. It is so refreshing to know after 25 years of Blue Rodeo's success and his personal success as an artist he is still left in awe of his fans! I am so happy to have been able to be at that event. Over the last 25 years I have never doubted a Jim Cuddy or Blue Rodeo concert would be anything short of Perfect..... Once again Jim you have held up your end of the deal and have made your audience, each one individually feel like you appreciate their patronage! Thanks for always being there for us!!!
Outstanding. Jim Cuddy knocked it out all night at Massey Hall. From a guy i knew as a props master on commercials, he's come a very very long way. He's is an extremely talented musician, singer, performer and proud Toronto neighbour! Thanks for an amazing night.
First time seeing JC outside of Blue Rodeo; really enjoyed his solo stuff, and also the reworked BR numbers; great band - Basil Donovan, as always; Anne Lindsay (violin) was terrific; and Colin Cripps rocks! JC was in fine vocal form, and very warm and friendly.
