BACHMAN & TURNER IN CONCERT:

Canadian classic rock heroes Bachman & Turner are back on the road in 2014, treating fans to marathon sets of nostalgic hits like "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" and "Let It Ride." The duo rose to international superstardom in the '70s as Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and although they've dropped the "overdrive" from their name in the new millennium, they haven't lost any of their hard-charging spark. Amid rumors that they'll be performing their seminal 1974 album Not Fragile end-to-end on their 2014 tour dates, gearheads from coast to coast are lining up for a chance to catch these legends in concert.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

After rising to prominence with The Guess Who in the '60s, guitarist Randy Bachman formed Bachman-Turner Overdrive with singer Fred Turner in the early '70s. While their eponymous 1973 debut album was a moderate success, it was sophomore album Bachman-Turner Overdrive II that really put them on the map, generating huge sales in the US and Canada thanks to hit singles "Taking Care of Business" and "Let It Ride." Third album Not Fragile was an even bigger success, topping the Billboard 200 and producing classic rock standard "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet." Reunited in 2010 as Bachman & Turner, the duo continue to record and tour, with a handful of highly anticipated appearances scheduled for 2014.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"...Bachman and Turner rocked out...these two guys are still fantastic after all these years. Turners voice is so authentic and Randy's guitar playing is unbelievable.”

"These guys have gotten better with age. The show was outstanding! Music played just like you remember and the crowd was on their feet!"

"...one heck of a great concert. Randy played that guitar ..... Just WOW. His vocals were perfect. Turner played great... They looked like they were having fun and the crowd responded with standing ovations."

Unbelievable guitar playing, their voices haven't changed that much for being 70 years old

    Bachman Turner still rocking!

by pidpid on 2014-06-05Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

I was a bit worried when I saw these two white haired, 70 year old men walk out on stage. But once they got playing their faces lit up and the fingers on the guitars flew! Boy that Randy can play the guitar. Rivals Santana! In fact he played Blue Collar the best I have ever heard it! Rock on guys!

    Bachman/Turner was AWESOME!

by CaptainKirk on 2014-06-05Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

Hard to believe that 2 musicians that are 70 years old can be so full of life and energy! It was a highlight of my concert life to be able to sing along and seat dance to so many of my youthful tunes. Rock on you two, rock on!!

Randy Bachman is a very talented musician and songwriter, but problems with the microphones did not do him any justice.

by fanbigtime on 2014-06-02Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - Coquitlam

Staff was great finding our seats and seats were excellent towards side of stage. Concert was excellent, played alot of the "oldies" and enjoyed new songs I was not familiar with. Have been following Bachman ever since Guess Who Days !! Would always recommend this concert to others and would go again if they come back. They just keep getting better and better all the time.

    Awesome performance

by Owlandskye on 2014-06-02Hard Rock Casino Vancouver - Coquitlam

This band and I go back a long way. My brothers hung out where they practiced in Surrey and my husband hung out (in the bushes) where they practiced in a house on Barnet beach in Burnaby. I have always loved their music. They are classic rock. The concert was awesome. The two hours went quickly. We were just getting really rocking when we realized the show was over. See you next time!

    B & T rocked the house!!!!

by John2323754 on 2012-02-07Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - Toronto

This was an amazing show that was a load of fun. This was rock and roll at it's best and when they started to play the major hits the crowd went wild!!!!! The sound was great, they could surprisingly STILL sing the same way they did 40 years ago!! And of course Randy Bachman is an amazing guitarist and Paul Rodgers is a great entertainer. They all were exactly what I expected, ROCK AND ROLL!

    Absolutely Marvelous Concert!!

by Gordie on 2011-11-24Bachman & Turner - Calgary

I expected a bunch of "old but nearly dead" musicians but I was taken back to the 70's when BTO rocked the airwaves! Great band with electric energy coming from their guitars! The audience was electric as well as we welcomed this great Canadian band with open arms. The guitar magic that came from Bachman just shows you that old musicians may become grayer but they never lose their magic.

Randy & Fred Put on Decent SHow

by Discerningear on 2011-10-13Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Randy & CF put on a decent show. It was nice to see them enjoying the venue, fans and each other's company. The sound was acceptable and Randy's playing was impecable. The Paul Rodgers show was something altogether different. I have been waiting a most of my adult life for an opportunity to see one of the best rock vocalists live for years. The show unfortunately was an abject disaster. Firstly it was Bad Company (and two Free songs) with a markedly inferior group of musicians and Paul on "cruise". The sad thing is Paul still has the pipes but his coast through the material was unfortunate. This would have been acceptable had the sound man not been an absolute disgrace to the trade. He had the sound turned way past excrutiating and it simply drove people out of the building (and the Jubilee has excellent acoustics). How this type of idiocy is allowed is beyond me.

    Mixed feelings

by redforever on 2011-10-05Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Bachman & Turner were very good, about exactly what I expected. However, the set up time inbetween the first and second performance of the evening was totally unacceptable. It took almost an hour for the second set, Paul Rodgers, to start. It was almost 10 pm, most concerts are finished by then, not starting. PLUS, the volume level of Paul Rodgers was unacceptable as well and it seemed that he kept on cranking it up. We left after about half an hour.

    Paul Rodgers rocked (BT too)

by Editormac on 2011-10-05Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Seeing Rodgers again was amazing. The dynamic voice and character of one of Rock's superstars was so worth it. But where was Kurtis Dengler and Lynn Sorensen in his band? The guys onstage were smooth and slick, but the missing duo understand the music of Rodgers (and the guitaring of Kossoff) better. Both shows were great, yet a little too short. And in the Jube, the sound does not need to be that loud. Loud yes, but not too loud.

    B-T just OK

by Fergalicious on 2011-10-05River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

I was a little disappointed by the performance. Very little interaction with the crowd. They played for 1 1/2 hours. After seeing the performance of Burton Cummings, I thought I would see the same from B-T, and it was no where close. It was ok, but I wouldn't spend $103 to go back again. Too bad, these guys were the ones that got me into rock and roll when I was 12. If your only going to play for that short time, at least have an opening band to fill in the night. I came 6 hrs to see them. Too bad.

Paul Rodgers AMAZING...B&T I could live without...

by Consuela on 2011-10-04Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

We are not big B&T fans, but everybody seemed to be really enjoying themselves. We went to see Paul Rodgers, who, in my eyes, has the most amazing voice and a legend in rock & roll. Paul Rodgers was the highlight of my evening, sound was great and he played all of the classics that I was waiting to hear. I have to say that I was extremely disappointed in the audience who, once B&T played, slowly started to disappear and not return. They missed a fantastic performance

by llou on 2011-10-04River Rock Casino Resort - Richmond

High energy, old and new songs were played and they were all well received. We had a great time! I saw them the first time in 1977, they definitely still have it!!!!!! Good job guys, I hope I get a chance to see them again!

    Great concert!

by PinkLady on 2011-10-04Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Bachman and Turner were amazing ! Great show but I was disappointed with the venue. My friend was dancing at the back and an usher told him he couldnt dance. Also the crowd was barely moving during the songs. If they were at a different venue this show would've been awesome!!! Paul Rodgers was great as well !
