Fantastic, mesmerizing!! When can I see it again!
Wonderful show! Amazing talent, very artistically produced, very new. Well done!
I really liked choreography, as first I was surprised because of the simple decoration, but the ballet was magnificent. Lots of thanks.
As always, an amazing display of talent and creativity!
This ballet company did a wonderful job of performing this beautiful and sad love story. I have seen it twice before and never have I been quite so moved. The audience was enraptured in the final scene and despite a full house you could have heard a pin drop! Thank you to all who made this wonderful evening possible.
This was so well told by the dancers - very exciting and beautiful - thank you for an extra-ordinary experience
Always love going to see Ballet BC at the Queen E, but last Thursday’s Romeo and Juliet was an even better event than usual. The spectacular choreography, the athleticism of the dancers, the beautiful music and the well-loved story. Everything was perfect!
Ballet B.C. continues to amaze audiences with a modern ballet experience like no other. These dancers are so real and unpretentious even when they are acting. There is a fluidity of movement that most companies can only dream of. You will be transported in the most profound way.
Fabulous combination of classical music with modern dance. Very moving performance- highly recommend
What a wonderful time. Beautifully and expressively danced! So yourself a favor and brush up on the story... It's danced not spoken.
I saw the last two annual performances by Alberta Ballet in Vancouver and found them outstanding. Ballet BC has used the same sets and costumes to good affect but the first act was a little thin on the ground perhaps due to financial and personnel restraints. However Act two was much better. The Principals were excellent as were the young dancers and the Corps de Ballet.
I have seen Ballet BC many times, and I have to say they never disappoint. I swear each time I see them, they top the last performance. Program 1 was absolutely transcending!!!
What incredible dancing we witnessed. Both dances were beautifully and creatively choreographed. A super evening except for parking! Even at 7pm the lot at QE was "full" due to passholders. That meant a $25 or $21 parking fee - that spoilt my well planned evening.
We had another great evening with Ballet BC. The two pieces (Busk and B.R.I.S.A) contrasted wonderfully and were a perfect synergy of dance and music. Both received standing ovations and thunderous applause and shouts and whistling.
Amazing, creative, talented performance! Can't wait to attend the next program.
I enjoy all styles of ballet, from classical to hip-hoppy, but need one thing to hold my interest. The dancers need to be dancing. Some of the pieces in some of the shows over the past few years have been more what i'd call "performance art" - exercises in movement but not what i'd call "dance". This is why i was so thrilled to see Friday's performance of BUSK and BRISA. Both were modern and innovative but showcased the immense talent of the dancers. The athletics in BUSK were jaw-dropping (esp by 2 of the principal dancers) but this wasn't at the expense of fluidity and beautiful artistry. We also loved some of the hip-hop elements in BUSK. Pls continue in this vein for future programs...we love the "dance"!
Loved every moment of Ballet BC’s performance. The dancing was spectacular!
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening, beautiful performance by all the dancers, would highly recommend it.
It was something totally different than you'd think of ballet, much more similar to contemporary dance. Still beautiful and enjoyable. Though perhaps not enough skin.
