BC Lions History
The BC Lions are the fifth oldest active franchise in the Canadian Football League (CFL). Founded in 1954, the Lions have made 10 appearances in the Grey Cup championship game and have won the cup six times: in 1964, 1985, 1994, 2000, 2006 and 2011. The BC Lions have claimed the Grey Cup twice on their home turf, including their notable 1994 victory over the former Baltimore Football Club, which prevented a U.S.-based team from hoisting Canadian football’s top prize. The Lions logged the CFL’s second-longest streak of playoff appearances, running for 20 consecutive seasons between 1997 and 2016. Throughout the BC Lions’ history, roster members have claimed 14 Most Outstanding Rookie Awards, 11 Most Outstanding Canadian Awards and Most Outstanding Defensive Player Awards apiece, seven Most Outstanding Player Awards, and five Annis Stukus Trophies for the CFL’s Coach of the Year.

BC Lions at BC Place
The BC Lions are the longest-tenured team to continuously compete at BC Place, starting with its opening in 1983. The stadium has grown in stature across the league, hosting nine Grey Cup championship games, including a Lions victory in 2011. During home games, fans can expect to hear the BC Lions fight song “Roar, You Lions, Roar” and get hyped up with team mascot Leo the Lion. The 54,500-seat multipurpose stadium has also hosted Major League Soccer’s Vancouver Whitecaps FC as well as games during the 2010 Winter Olympics and the annual Canada Sevens rugby competition. BC Place is located on the north side of False Creek in downtown Vancouver.

Great game and the Cats win big. Great facility and great staff. Worth going to a game here. Support the BC Lions and the CFL !
Great game! Loved every minute. And lucky made my sons day he signed his hat at the end of the game!!
It was my first time at a football game, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There are workers at every entrance who will help you find your seat and will even escort you so there's no confusion. Food lines went pretty fast. We had great seats (section 244/245) for a reasonable price. The mascot Roary was very entertaining and had some great dance moves.
Expensive drinks, but overall great experience. Staff at stadium were friendly and polite
Fun afternoon for a good deal ! Good atmosphere with lots of families Be prepared to make lots of noise and see a great game
Great fun, great value and an excellent product. Love the 4pm start! If you haven’t been to a game you’re missing out.
My kids were keen to go see their first CFL game. Prices of the tickets were very affordable and the kids really enjoyed the game. They have already asked when we can go again.
Excellent product on the field. The Lions have taken entertainment seriously. It is an exciting and fun atmosphere in BC Place Stadium. I love going to the games!
Always so much fun to be in the crowd at BC Place and the before party is so much fun Amar Doman puts on a great show for the fans every time we couldn’t have a better owner.
First CFL game in years Fun day for good price Will be back for sure!
I am 65 and have been to games here for decades along with seeing games in Montreal Toronto and Calgary The biggest problem are the tv time outs, they Kill’s momentum. The game was lacking in offense. I brought my wife and 16 year old daughter. They were pumped for a while then were bored by the end. I wish it had been exciting and they would want to come back
A BC Lions game is always a fun time. Great atmosphere and Lions won. ❤️🦁🏈
Haven’t been to the BC Lions game in close to 10 years. I was pleased with the upper deck price of $30 for an adult and $10 for a 17 or under. Stadium is clean staff are friendly and the product on the field was good. The only downer to the whole day was the cost of food. And we had two cheeseburgers, one fries and two drinks and it was almost $48. That’s a bit pricey.
Tickets were cheap. The pregame party was a good time and the food was delicious
Lions games are fun to attend these days. Kids are having a blast and the adults are enjoying the stadium experience as well.
Another great family night out. The digital tickets are super easy to use and make getting through the gate quick.
Everything went very smoothly, except it took me till the end of the 1st half before I figured out how to order food & drinks to my seat.I should have asked some how it works,I think and would like to see it announced on the jumbo tron TV. THANKS RICK
We went with the family and had an awesome time!!! Fun for all ages and was a great game!
BC Place is a beautiful venue and the BC Lions are a really good team, so the overall experience is awesome. The new owner has done a great job. However, there are so many ads and breaks that the game gets very very long. Be ready to sit for 3 to 4 hours, while it should normally be 2 or 2:30. Too bad, because they could get way more fans by reducing these frequent and long breaks. I know they obviously need the ads money and they want people to buy food and drinks, but it makes the experience less valuable for us.
