About

William "Billy" Currington has racked up seven No. 1 hits over ten successful years including 2013's smash single "Hey Girl" and brand-new album We Are Tonight.

Born in 1973 and raised in Rincon, Georgia, Currington moved to Nashville after high school to pursue a career in country music, working for a concrete company to make ends meet and playing clubs and writing songs on the side. He eventually cut tracks for George Strait, Kenny Rogers and Mark Wills, which led to him signing to Mercury Nashville Records in 2003. His self-titled debut album came out later that year, featuring the singles "Walk a Little Straighter" about his relationship with his alcoholic stepfather, and "I Got A Feelin’", which reached the Top 5 on the country charts. His sophomore album Doin’ Something Right was released in 2005, spawning the singles "Why, Why, Why" and the number one hits "Must Be Doin’ Something Right" and "Good Directions", and selling over one million copies in the U.S. In 2008, Currington put out the track "Don’t", which climbed to number two on the charts and preceded the release of his third album Little Bit of Everything, also featuring number one singles "People Are Crazy" and "That’s How Country Boys Roll". His fourth studio album Enjoy Yourself came out in 2010 and its singles "Pretty Good at Drinkin’ Beer" and "Let Me Down Easy" also achieved number one status on the country charts. He was toured with the likes of Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley and Sugarland, playing concerts to ticket holders all over the country.

Billy Currington was very enjoyable, he's a lot of fun and his songs are very good. However as usual the volume was a WAY TOO LOUD. When a good singer's voice is garbled because of the excessive volume, it's not nearly as enjoyable as if it was at a reasonable volume.

    Great Concert

This was a birthday outing to celebrate my mothers 75th birthday, mom, dad, myself, 2 sisters and 2 nieces enjoyed the show. Billy was awesome, non-stop entertainment, and he now has 2 new fans in my parents. My fathers foot was tapping the whole show. Enjoyed Kip Moore and David Nail, but found the acoustics not very good, as in both cases the band was louder then the singers, and really heavy on the base. Had a great time, just the same!

Kip Moore for the short time he played was excellent David Nail not so much so he was a disappointment Billy Currington was one of the best shows we have seen, energetic and so into the show. We saw him open for Chensey at the ACC and that convinced us to come up to Rama Also loved Paco

    Definitely Glad We Went!

Currington couldn't have been better and it is so much FUN being at one of his concerts! Given the overall late start time (9 PM with 2 intro bands), he could have done the show alone and the same packed house of 5,000 would have showed up. David Nail was quite good, Kip Moore obviously has a good voice but did not 'project', and left us flat. Regardless, I would have voted 5 stars just because of Currington. There were, however, two glaring problems that could have easily been avoided in the case of the first, and much minimized in the case of the second. First, the sound mixing was TERRIBLE! This was especially true in the case of the Kip Moore band where the bass was way over the top and pretty much ruined the overall band sound, not to mention distortion. And I don't need a constantly vibrating floor to enjoy a concert. It was bad for David Nail's band too, but somehow the problem was much reduced for Currington? In any event, a huge mistake and in this day and age with the equipment available, things should sound nearly as good as in a studio, and not a "train wreck". The second one was purely disorganization. So David is on for 15-20 minutes and done. People were just getting into it. The lights come up and what seemed like an eternity (min. 15 minutes, likely much more) while lots of guys ran around setting up the next band's stuff....in its entirety! Then it all gets repeated after Kip Moore. I've been to many concerts where everything is pre set up for the next band and covered up except up front mics and monitors, the previous band's stuff is just hauled off stage in minutes, and the show goes on while people are still pumped. This concert clearly left the impression of "who cares" now that you are here. Not good!

Billy Currington was amazing! This is the second time that I've seen him and this was even better than the last time. It was a show filled with all his hits, he had lots of energy and was very personable with the audience. Can't wait for him to come back!
