BKT Tires World Women’s Curling Championship Tickets

The event was great. We had the oportunity to get autographs from Team Canada and Team Sweden. The set up in the PATCH was great. There was food and beverages and souvenirs and music and a real party atmosphere. We were there for only one afternoon draw and got to see 8 teams play. Team Canada did not curl on the draw we watched but our next favorite, team Scotland did. The merchandise available was of good quality and we did come home with three items. Jacket, Hat and flag.

The city of Swift Current should be proud. Everyone was very friendly and the organizers of this event did a great job. Found the venue itself somewhat small for where the souveniers were located for it was always crowded. But all in all the week was fabulous. My hat is off to you.

The 2010 Ford Women's Curling in Swift Current was an awesome time. I would highly recommend attending a curling event as we met fantastic people from all over the province. One thing we didn't like was the line-up to get into the Patch after the weekend draws. We understand they sold patch tickets only and as a person who bought the whole week that was a bit annoying. The other thing was the camera men on the ice during the games. They blocked shots many times and we were unable to see who scored until it was posted.

I really in joyed the curling. The games were well attended and the audiance was knowlegable about curling.

The curling was great, the music was fantastic, the party was a blast every night, people were friendly and fun, everything was well-organized and well-run--the atmosphere was addicting! I couldn't stay away.

I'm not a huge curling fan but realy got into it as the week went on. the organizing committe did a great job.

Great curling! Well organized event! Fabulous socializing opportunity! Excellent entertainment both in the arena and in the patch!

This event was very well done. The host committe put a lot of sweat and tears into an event that went perfectly. A small community put together an event that exceeded the stars of a big city event. Everything was covered and the friendliness and support of all the volunteers was second to none. Job well done Swift Current.

I attended the 2010 World Women's curling event in Swift Current from March 20-28, and it was very entertaining, and had some great shot making. The team from Scotland were my favourites and they came so close. It was heartbreaking to see them lose the final the way they did.

The curling by all rinks were very intertaining. One young skip stood out above all other skips; Eve Muirhead of Scotland at 19 years of age is extremely calm under fire. Her shot making is unbelievable. She is an up coming star in the curling arena. Swift Current put on an a very good display of hospitality and good will. Hopefully the city of Swift Current and area can once again host the Women's World Curling Event. Infact Swift Current could very well host the Men's with ease.

Swift Current is a great host city. A BIG thank-you to the organizing committee. The facility was perfect for this event.

It is a "long" eight days. But if you follow curling at all it was great. To see our "hockey" arena transformed into a Curling venue was great as well. One of the most amazing things to see was the "goings on" that happen "off camera". One does not realize that what you see on television is only a small part of the whole operation. Once the volunteers have had a chance to catch their breath I would think they would do it again if offered the chance. I would like to think that the World Curling Federation was happy with what they saw in Swift Current.

Swift Current did an awesome job of hosting the Ford World Curling. The ENTIRE City gave 100% in presentation of their city and in the services, especially the restaurants that we were at (Boston Pizza & Smitty's) made sure that all the customers were served with great quick service. There was more than 400 volunteers at this function who did an amazing job to make sure that it went off without a hitch. GREAT job, curling was fabulous, unfortunately Canada did not win, but we still had a great time.

I thought the entire event was very well orchestrated. A terrific preformance of management and south west volunteers working in harmony to complete a onerous task and make it look easy. I wondered why many youth were prevented from getting autographes from their team heros while at the ice or rink side following the games.It would appear to me that that is a great opportunity to inspire young curlers and perpetuate the sport. Lets face it, curling needs all the help it can get in rural Saskatchewan. Thank you for a great time...D

I really found the rink was a very small venue. Will call tickets were no hassle to pick up -- once you found the right entrance. The accesbility of this venue is not very good. If you went into the wrong entrance you had to walk all the way around the outside of the building just to get your will call tickets. They had a ticket window at the main entrance but they were only selling available tickets. The curling was great but that's about all that was.

Great to see Team Canada win their first game. Disappointed that China experienced difficulty but enjoyed meeting them.

I was extremely excited about being there with my daughter. The opening ceremonies and the first draw were great. The facilities are awesome as this was my first time there since the renovations to Iplex. The volunteers were very well presented. The whole event was fantastic.

It is not very often that you get to see this caliber of curling in your backyard so I definitely wanted to take the opportunity! The curling was great and the price was extremely reasonable....The venue did a great job providing a favourable experience...Great job Swift Current!
