Blippi The Musical on Stage
Blippi The Musical is a two-act comedy about a boy named Blippi who loves to play in the world while taking his viewers along for the ride. He inspires kids to explore their environment with curiosity and creativity, teaching them about responsibility through song and play. Stevin John is the original creative force behind Blippi, whose energetic, childlike persona is portrayed in thickly framed glasses, a blue button-down shirt, bright orange suspenders, bow tie, and cap to match. John wrote, acted, filmed, edited, produced and shared Blippi's first episodes on YouTube in 2014. The videos quickly became an obsession among kids between the ages of 2 and 6 years old, and the parents who discover Blippi in search of wholesome kids' content on the internet also appreciate John's safe material. The show's popularity amassed billions of view counts as Blippi catapulted into the limelight. John would eventually sign a master toy deal with Jazwares LLC and sell his edu-tainment program to Moonbug Entertainment, who partnered with Virgin Media to distribute the show in the United Kingdom. It's now dubbed in Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, German, Arabic, and Hebrew, and the spin-off show, "Blippi's Treehouse," began airing on Amazon Kids+ in 2021. This all-ages extravaganza produced by Round Room Live will feature a dynamic stage actor cast to perform Blippi The Musical on tour, thrilling live audiences nationwide.
My kid was bored. blippi and friends sang and danced, but they didn’t really involve/engage the kids. The acoustics were horrible, we couldn’t make out most of what they were saying.
I had no idea - my own error but not the original Blippi!! Crew was great but not the real deal original!!!
Timing of the event was greatly managed with a 20 minutes brake just at the right time. Well done, my girls had a great time :)
My 6 year old wanted to leave by the intermission. Wasnt even the real blippi!
we had a really great time. slightly disappointed it wasn’t the real/newer on screen blippi or meekha but they were both great and my 3 year old didn’t seem to care or notice i kinda wish dancers would’ve came off stage though and interacted with the crowd more though. but my 1 and 3 year old both had fun and at one time were on the floor dancing with other kiddos it was cute to watch
The show was great! No complaints. Kids loved the songs and the dancing! I think parents and some kids were a bit disappointed to see that we paid to see Youtube stars Blippi/Meekah and didnt get the REAL Blippi/Meekah or the backup Blippi/Meekah. We got a Blippi/Meekah not known or familiar. My child is 3 1/2 and he knew it wasn't either of the Blippi's. I think the cost was a bit much for seats close to the stage and merchandise sold was super expensive (ex. $40 bucks for a 4T T-shirt). Great event and show for the kids, but perhaps be more honest in the advertisement so people know what they are paying for.
Even my little one can't enjoy the program. They should have place some large screen different part of the auditorium. Then only level 2 gallary can see the stage performance otherwise we have to use binoculars.
This felt like a bit of a rip off. The tickets were by no mean cheap. Yet, all you got was five people dancing around for 45-60 minutes. Take note, it is not the real Blippi or Meeka (although that was not surprising). There is no story line. My young kids were bored 15 minutes in. There is no exciting moments that were really interesting or fun or funny. Honestly, just felt like a hyped up cash grab.
Excellent cast of dancers and singers, interactional and fun! My son loved every second of it!

Not gonna lie, I was not expecting what I saw at the Blippi show. I was thoroughly impressed with the cast and the program they put on. Sound was awful and it was hard to hear what they were saying, but the energy they put out entertained my toddlers completely. The venue, however, MY GOODNESS!! The Burt seriously needs to look into better cooling systems in the place. I have never been so hot just sitting other than being in a sauna. Im surprised little children didn't pass out from dancing in the heat. Will never attend another event at the Burt during the early spring/summer. Someone could seriously get heat stroke.
It was nice for the kids to hear the songs they know, but we were near the back and the volume of the performers voices wasn’t loud enough to hear. We could only hear what they were singing when the crowd started singing with them, and couldn’t even guess what they were saying while talking; we just saw facial expressions. They needed to turn the performers mic volume up so we could hear. The kids were pretty sad.
The sound system was absolutely terrible, oftentimes impossible for us to make out what was being said. We were a party with two 5-year old children. Inserting a 20-minute break into the show was ridiculous, as the kids lost interest and wanted to leave, which we did before it was over. The teachable moments expected from Blippi did not occur. The entire show was disappointing and a complete money grab. The Burt has always done better.
My 3 year old son and I had a GREAT time! There were some songs we didn’t know BUT “excavator”, “garbage truck” and “monster truck” were sung which made our night! Perfect amount of time too! Not too long and done in time for bed.
We knew from the start it wasn’t the original Blippi in this show. That’s fine. The music was fun and the cast did well with the dancing/action songs. We just didn’t hear much. The microphones weren’t loud enough and it was hard to hear any speaking and singing. We unfortunately were seated near some guests that didn’t want to be there and were crying/overtired. We left early also because my little one got tired. It was a good show, but we won’t go to another weekday show. We’ll stick to weekends.
I took my daughter to the blippi concert in Winnipeg, it was money well spent. My girl was so happy to see blippi live and I couldn’t have been more proud to join her. It was fun and entertaining and joyful to see all the happy kids in the crowd. If blippi were to come to Winnipeg again, I would go with my daughter again.
The experience would have been better for the young children , to have had a show with no intermission. Could have been shortened to accommodate this.
After watching the show for years, my 5 year old loved the show. There were a few classic songs that he loved. The lights on the Monster truck were blinding and hard to look at. There was no story just one song after another. There were too few classic Blippi songs, nor was there a story or learning. Would have gave it less stars but the kids loved it.
Overall event was not that bad, but the biggest letdown is the fact that not even one actor was from the real Blippy show, only doubles.
