    Worst experience

by VanJL on 2017-07-29Rogers Arena - Vancouver

His song choice is strange and his voice is murky. Do not waste time or money on him.

Great trajectory but not his concert!

    by ConcertAttendee1234 on 2017-07-28Rogers Arena - Vancouver

When i go to concerts i expect that artists connect with the audience, to transmit energy something that i can't get from a record. Well he didn't even say thanks, next song is.. ,something to connect or sense de audience... nothing. He was there because it was paid , so he sang what he wanted not what the audience expects and then took off without a word. He didn't allow mobile devices or cameras, so we couldn't use them, also there weren't any big screen so it was like playing a LP being the differences the price for hearing that music and the capability to choose the play list. I was expecting many iconic songs from him, but he sang only blowing in the wind but it was a very different version it was very strange not to be able to feel his music. Disappointing !!!

Sound was horrible. Couldn't hear any lyrics. Band was way too loud. We should all get a refund and an apology.

Disappointing but should have expected this

by ShoshTaylor on 2017-07-28Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Seats were especially good; paid full price; however sound was awful; had to wear earplugs to drown out noise and in order to hear any words; couldn't see his face as he was on piano facing away from us; if I had realized he was not going to have video which seems standard in an arena the size of Rogers, I would have brought binoculars; can't imagine how bad it was from average seats; didn't realize he was a crooner like Frank Sinatra; guess he has his right to sing what he wants to at concerts but for nostalgia purposes I was looking forward to hearing some of his famous old hits; recognized very few as he rearranged them. I don't think I was alone in my disappointment as people left the concert early.

    Just awful

    by Grimey123 on 2017-07-28Rogers Arena - Vancouver

I had heard Bob was "not always good" live, but I gotta say, he was awful. Poor quality sound, mumbling lyrics, odd choice of material etc. Only see him if you are completing your bucket list of artists to see before they pass away, frankly.

Honestly expected the show to include more of the hits that made him famous.

It's an experience to see Bob Dylan live.

by Bondev on 2017-07-28Rogers Arena - Vancouver

I'm grateful to see Bob Dylan live the show was just average and it was hard to hear his words. The quality of the music was awesome but the show was average.

by YDAL on 2017-07-28Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Had read many poor reviews of his concerts but I was thrilled with his concert.I got goose bumps when he came on stage. I have been a fan for years but never saw him live before. He gave it his all and let his songs and music do the talking. The band was great also

I've seen Dylan when he's been both good and bad. That's the reason I haven't gone to see him for ten years. This quite simply was the best I've seen him perform. He can if he wants to.

One of the worst show of my life

One of the worst show of my life, poor presentation , no interaction with the audience, and a disaster set list.

Surprisingly good. I went expecting poor vocals but no sounded great. Definitely a show for real fans not casual listener's as the the songs were presented in new arrangements. If you don't know Dylan well it may be disappointing.

    Extremely disappointing Dylan concert

by Anonymous on 2017-07-28Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Not many good things to say. The sound was so bad it was hard to even figure out what he was playing, couldn't hear the words (and the lyrics are what make him so good), there were people constantly wandering up and down the aisles/seat rows. For all the money we paid, we only got about 90 minutes of 'music' and absolutely no interaction between Dylan and his audience. I know he's in his 70's but maybe a "Hello Vancouver" at least once would have been nice. I wasn't sure he was actually aware of the audience. An expensive evening for us what with the ticket prices, dinner and a hotel.

Easily one of the worst concerts this season

by MyrCo on 2017-07-26Rogers Arena - Vancouver, BC

I am really, really sad to have to go through this negative tirade, but I think it is fair to share with prospective viewers my disappointment. If you are into going, be aware that not a single song that this true legend became known for will be played - period. Let's put aside that Bob does not interact with the audience and that any kind of recording is not allowed. I am OK with that. As opposed to a classic rock/pop concert, this is a different profile event. I don't expect interaction with audience nor I take shots with my Phone when in opera, and I understand how this can be annoying to a musician whose focus is all on songs or lyrics rather than on a blast of scene effects. However, for the same reason I think, the audience should be acknowledged at least a bit by something from Bob's rich cult song repertoire. Not much, just a song or two. We got zilch! We all wanted so much to love him, but Dylan did not want us to.

    Disappointing

by Rockinroll on 2017-07-26Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

Having been a Dylan fan since my pre-teen days, I was really looking forward to this concert. Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed. Dylan made no attempt to connect with his audience. He seemed bored. He played very few of his "greatest hits": no "Knockin' on Heaven's Door," "Mr. Tambourine Man," Like a Rolling Stone," "Lay, Lady, Lay" -- the list goes on. I am not sure what he did sing because the lyrics were mostly unintelligible. Of course, the music of his band was excellent, but that's not what I paid for. Cameras were strictly forbidden, so I have no photos.

    Bob Dylan can't speak

by Springstein on 2017-07-26Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

Bob entered the stage exactly at 8pm and started to play - one song after another for nearly exact 1 hour and 30 minutes. Then he was leaving stage with his band. After a big applause from the people in the CN Centre he entered the stage again with his band for 2 more songs. Then he was leaving and the lights in the arena were coming to life. No "Hi Prince George" no "Bye Prince George" - Bob can only sing, but he can't speak. At some points at the concert I was nearly falling asleep - it was really boring some times. I never was at a ROCK CONCERT like this - never. The music was good quality - as expected - but this was. No atmosphere - nothing - nope. About the seats: At the whole event people were running up and down the stairs. The security lady in charge wasn't helping people down with her flashlight discretely - she was just flooding the whole staircase with her flashlight so that she not have to climb the stairs again and again. But this was really rude and distracting.
