    Bob Dylan Prince George

by skigirl8 on 2017-07-25Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

This concert was by far the worst one I have ever attended. The singing was incomprehensible- I missed blowin in the wind completely. He did not acknowledge the audience once; even though our city was full of evacuees from neighboring wildfires. I could have done so much more with my $200.

    unbelievable in PG

by RobertoDilani on 2017-07-25Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

This was an unforgettable appearance for some of us. A legend appeared on that stage and then vanished after 1 h & 40 min. I wish he would have played 2-4 songs with his guitar and people around me would have stayed quiet instead of chattering or arriving late.

    The Unknown Dylan

by GDS58 on 2017-07-25Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

Who knew Bob Dylan could sound SO good!! I had many expectations but none came close to the real deal he delivered on StageThe band was oustanding and his jazz standards brought out a brand new Dylan that made him sound better than ever

Bob Dylan's band was great. Bob Dylan mumbling was totally what I expected. I was not disappointed because I never thought that he was a good musician. Just wanted to go to say that I saw him. Like I said before his band was totally worth going. Anyone that I spoke to that was a fan of Bob Dylan were totally disappointed. I think that is you are a fan, then stay a fan from a distances and never come and see this show. If you just want to hear a great ban d then come and see this show.

    Bob Dylan was forgettable.

by BananaMana111 on 2017-07-25Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

I get that he is old, but he played less than an hour and a half. He sang good songs, but he also stayed at a piano for the whole thing. No guitar, no harmonica, not worth the price of admission. Still love his work, though.

    Was it Bob?

by GloriaB on 2017-07-25Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

Bob Dylan Concert July 22, 2017 Prince George I was sadly disappointed with the concert. I was so excited at the chance to see a legend in concert. The band was not introduced. They did not engage the audience. There was no big screen to be able to see the performers. The music was okay you could not understand the lyrics. He did not play one song that I recognized. you were not allowed to take pictures. A total disappointment. We stayed until 9:30 hoping to hear something we recognized. Left the venue at 9:30 extremely disappointed with the show.

    Very poor performance

by BAWS on 2017-07-25Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

I love Bob Dylan's music and I've been a fan for over 40 years. He's an iconic figure in the world music industry and I couldn't wait to see him. While I'm still happy to say I've now seen him and added him to a great list of other performers I've seen, I have to say this was absolutely the worse concert over ever been to. He did not say one single word to the audience. Not a hello, nor a good to see you all here, and not a thank you. he said NOTHING. The sound quality was horrible. His band way overplayed his voice, the sound itself was just bad. A total waste of money except and I can say I've seen him. I'll still listen to his music, but if he has no appreciation of his audience he should've stayed home. I'm very disappointed.

The band overpowered Bob, but I am sure it was deliberate, as he cannot sing anymore. His voice was very gravelly . He didn't seem to care about the audience. I will never attend his concerts again. Extremely poor performance by Bob. It was a total waste of money.

    Great Seats!

by FrootLoopPG on 2017-07-25Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

Really wanted to enjoy this concert as I am a Bob Dylan fan. However, although the band was good, the show never really seemed to gain momentum. Expected most lyrics to be unintelligible but thought we would recognize the melodies at least. Also, a "Hello", "Thanks for coming" or any interaction with the audience whatsoever would have been appreciated. Big disappointment compared to shows by other bands of the era.

I was very disappointed that Bob Dylan did not speak to his fans once during the concert. As a long time fan I was excited to finally meet him but was really let down.

    Not the Dylan I remember

by Shelterfromthestorm on 2017-07-25Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

Disappointed I didn't hear the unforgettable hits that so epitomized my younger self in the 70's and 80's. I wanted to hear his new lyrics but the sound was garbled and his band so loud I could barely make out 2 words. His band was very talented. He did not address his audience in any way even to say hello, goodbye or thank you. He did not even introduce his band.

    Bob Dylan was alright

by dkgman on 2017-07-25Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

Bob Dylan was alright. The band was phenomenal. So clean and on point the whole time. Only downside was that he didn't play any BIG songs but he's probably sick of singing those songs by now.

    Bob Dylan was terrible

by BigBob1953 on 2017-07-25Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

The worst ever concert I ever went to. He didn't sing any of his own songs and what he tried to sing were terrible. Save your money people and skip this one!

Crossed it off the bucket list.

by OzzyRules on 2017-07-25Rogers Place - Edmonton

Bob Dylan put on a pretty good show. He was a lot more active than I thought he would be. He spoke clearly but there were a few times it kind of sounded like he was mumbling. Could have just been drowned out by the piano. He didn't do any of his hits though. Just the new album. No pictures or videos allowed. All in all good show.

    Worst concert I've been to

by palbart on 2017-07-22Rogers Place - Edmonton

That was hands down the worst concert I have been to and I am a regular concert goer. From not singing well known songs, but honkey tonk and crooner tunes instead (cover tunes from a poet???). To not even addressing the audience with a hi or thank you. Let's not forget the light shining security to stop any cellphone use. The music was bad, it seemed as if the band was not ready for the setlist like we were at a bad wedding. The atmosphere was the worst part. I am not sure why he tours if he doesn't care about the audience. I see that many have had the same experience and I wish I had searched before buying the tickets. I bought them for my husband for father's day. He was excited as we arrived and extremely disappointed when we left.

Don't think twice, it's all right.

by Anonymous on 2017-07-22Rogers Place - Edmonton

Further to my previous review, he didn't play guitar or the harmonica. When your older i can accept that he didn't play guitar especially with the quality of his band. He is one of the all time great harmonica players, so i would have liked it if he played it on some songs like the title of this review. At least i have memories of previous Dylan shows in which he did.

The first comment is about the acoustics of the Arena. I've seen Dylan before at Rexall Place. The sound quality at Rogers Place is much better. There was a crowd of between 6000 and 7000 at the show. He had fresh material for him in the form of songs from when Sinatra and Tony Bennett were big. This look allowed for a freshness for him instead of singing songs that people would probably still like to hear such as Like a Rolling Stone or All Along the Watchtower that he may be bored with after singing them thousands of times. His band was excellent! If you were sitting further back, there were no video screens. The arena is great for concerts especially if you are in the lower bowl.. For Dylan, i would have given the fifth star if the show is in a theatre like the Jubilee Auditorium.
