Buffalo Bills Team History
The Buffalo Bills became the seventh team to join the American Football League when Ralph C. Wilson was awarded the franchise in 1959. In 1964 and 1965, the Bills won the AFC Championship, and then-Head Coach Lou Saban was named AFL Coach of the Year for both seasons. After Marv Levy took over as Head Coach in 1986, the Bills won five AFC championships and made four consecutive Super Bowl appearances from 1990–1993. To date, the Bills are the only team to play in four consecutive Super Bowl games.
Since hiring Head Coach Sean McDermott in January 2017, the Bills have made five playoff appearances. In 2022, the Bills made playoff history in a game against the Patriots when they became the first team in the Super Bowl era to score a touchdown on each of its first seven drives of a playoff game.

Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium
Since opening in 1973, Highmark Stadium, located in Orchard Park, New York, has been the home to the Buffalo Bills. The stadium underwent several name changes; known as Ralph Wilson Stadium from 1998 to 2015, it was renamed New Era Field in 2016, then Bills Stadium in 2020. Following a new naming rights deal in 2021, its official name is now Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Stadium.
A visit to Highmark Stadium for a Buffalo Bills game is sure to be a loud and high-energy experience, as the team’s fanbase, the Bills Mafia, is arguably the most loyal in the NFL. The group got its start in November 2010 following the upset from a dropped pass by receiver Stevie Johnson that could have resulted in a game-winning touchdown. The hashtag #BillsMafia caught wind on Twitter, and since then the group has been known for their tailgating antics and game-day attire and energy.

Amazing experience! The game had so many incredibly, exciting moments!
This was our first visit to a Buffalo Bills game. Even though the local team is pretty average and the competition was terrible, the fans are so enthusiastic that it was worth the price of admission. The only unfortunate part of this was that those behind us did not want to stand but those in front did, so it was a bit uncomfortable in that sense. Getting to the stadium was fine and there is plenty of parking, but getting out was awful - there was no one around to direct traffic and everything was terribly disorganised compared to other stadiums we have visited. Thankfully most fans had left early, but I can only imagine how bad it must be if there is a close game when everyone stays until the end.
Great game, great fans, great BD gift from hubby!!
There is a reason why ESPN voted Bills tailgate party's as the best in nfl. Great day, good times.
Seats were good with a decent view. Unfortunately, we had two inconsiderate quests on either side of us that made it difficult for my daughter and I to enjoy the game fully.
We enjoyed the game and the stadium. There were so many great things and only a couple of areas I could see for improvement. Lower the price of the beverages, you would have got more of my money if you did. The other real problem was the fact that the taxi drivers didn't want to pick up any Green Bay fans . . . yes that's correct. We waited about 2.5 hours after the game for a cab and we literally had to jump into the back seat and the cap driver still didn't want to drive us to our hotel. He charged us $35 for a ride that was only $20. He actually ended up being a nice guy but he told us that's why we weren't getting a ride. :( I realize that this is not Ralph Wilson Stadium's doing but maybe they could have some influence on the cab companies. I can't wait to go to another game next year!!!
Phenomenal! Buffalo's superbowl win right there :)
Really enjoyed this venue. Seats were actually quite good for nosebleed seats. Tailgate parties were fun to see.
Great atmosphere to watch a game, however if you are not cheering for the home team (like me) you might encounter some heckling!
good parking close to stadium, even though stadium was full, tail gate party great, day was cool and some rain but facilities were good. good seats great view although we didn't sit down except for half time. traffic getting out was well handled with little delay. We had a great time.
Had a great time bathrooms were surprisingly clean for such a big event. Our tickets said gate 8 but really there was no gate 8 so we had to enter at 7
Thanks Buffalo for a great time. Also, thanks for letting K.C. win!
The tickets were excellent, the fans around us were great, will definitely use ticketmaster for tickets at future games!
This is a stadium where the fans get involved. The view is good from most locations and the Bills usually stay competitive. The won this game on the last play with a short touchdown pass and the crowd exploded in appreciation. The atmosphere was great. I would have preferred seat backs to the benches we sat on, but the overall experience was good. You have to dress warmly when the weather cools down because the elements are at play in this stadium!
The game itself was entertaining, however a number of fans in the area made the event very unpleasant. They were very drunk, abusive toward others in the area, stood most of the time so that everyone in the rows behind them were forced to stand as well. We asked security twice to ask them to sit and calm down, a few minutes after security left the behavior resumed. I took my son to the game and am not certain that I would want to expose him to that type of poor conduct again.
Buffalo must have the best tailgate environment of most NFL clubs. There are hundreds of acres of happy tailgaters just having a good time with their own food and booze. To me, this is the best part of these games. New owner seems to be thinking of downtown Buffalo for new stadium -- with a tent where you buy Bud and eat someone else's high-priced food? Game was OK, stadium has good sightlines and the fans rock.
Went to the Buffalo Bills game in Toronto, lots of empty seats. Now I know why, the tickets are way overpriced. Also the crowd was not very loud because most don't even like Buffalo. No tail gate party and food/beer is expensive. Waste of money, best to watch the NFL on TV.
This was my first NFL game in person and I would definitely go to another one
We need the NFL in Toronto....this was an amazing game
I had a blast!!! The lead changed back and forth several times with the Falcons (my team) winning in overtime. The atmosphere was wild and crazy, more Bills fans than Falcons fans but we did make a lot of noise. We are all going again next year..BRING the NFL to Toronto!!
