Buffalo Bills Team History
The Buffalo Bills became the seventh team to join the American Football League when Ralph C. Wilson was awarded the franchise in 1959. In 1964 and 1965, the Bills won the AFC Championship, and then-Head Coach Lou Saban was named AFL Coach of the Year for both seasons. After Marv Levy took over as Head Coach in 1986, the Bills won five AFC championships and made four consecutive Super Bowl appearances from 1990–1993. To date, the Bills are the only team to play in four consecutive Super Bowl games.
Since hiring Head Coach Sean McDermott in January 2017, the Bills have made five playoff appearances. In 2022, the Bills made playoff history in a game against the Patriots when they became the first team in the Super Bowl era to score a touchdown on each of its first seven drives of a playoff game.

Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium
Since opening in 1973, Highmark Stadium, located in Orchard Park, New York, has been the home to the Buffalo Bills. The stadium underwent several name changes; known as Ralph Wilson Stadium from 1998 to 2015, it was renamed New Era Field in 2016, then Bills Stadium in 2020. Following a new naming rights deal in 2021, its official name is now Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Stadium.
A visit to Highmark Stadium for a Buffalo Bills game is sure to be a loud and high-energy experience, as the team’s fanbase, the Bills Mafia, is arguably the most loyal in the NFL. The group got its start in November 2010 following the upset from a dropped pass by receiver Stevie Johnson that could have resulted in a game-winning touchdown. The hashtag #BillsMafia caught wind on Twitter, and since then the group has been known for their tailgating antics and game-day attire and energy.

The Buffalo Bills schedule release video was uploaded on May 15, 2024. The video features Bills quarterback Josh Allen giving a tour of the Bills' new stadium construction site, along with offensive tackle Spencer Brown and former seven-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Steve Tasker. You can watch the clip here.

The Buffalo Bills last appeared in the Super Bowl on January 30, 1994. They lost to the Dallas Cowboys (30–13).
Had an amazing time. Got to meet a few of the players, and see the new talent for the 2013 NFL season. Can't wait until next year!!!
Was pretty jacked to be seeing NFL games in Canada. The Bills are nothing great but unfortunately they couldn't even make it some great games. The ticket prices were way too high, and the Rogers Centre is terrible for football. I would have given up my package if I could have been refunded at an equal value paid at any time during the series.
my wife and I have seen many NFL games over the years in several different NFL stadiums. they put on a great show in Seattle. Detroit is loads of fun for a city in a massive recession. Superbowl was fantastic down in Jacksonville. I could go on. The Bills in Toronto was a HUGE letdown. It was handled much like a CFL game; only possible worse. Constant interruptions from the PA system to let you know what just happened is not the way it is done in NFL stadiums. Ever spare second of possible enjoyment is interrupted by blaring music at full volume. The tickets were massively overpriced, for those that were duped, with the initial release of tickets. Five years on, we have lived and learned. Any future money spent on the NFL will be spent in another city.
If there was ever a city not ready for prime time, Toronto is it. It's time Toronto to put on your big boy pants and bring NFL style tailgating to the city. Half the experience of game day is outside in the lot. You clearly showed how not to do it. Well done. You will not get my money next time.
Home games are to be an advantage for the home team. The Toronto Bills game is not a home field advantage for the Bills. These few games have done wonders for support in Western New York from Canadians because they may have gone to the Rogers Center for a game then decided to go to the Ralph. Now they have experienced a real tailgate! Going to the Rogers Center will never compare. A Bills Season Ticket Holder. Go Bills!
Just not an NFL stadium or NFL atmosphere. They cannot expect people in Toronto to pay high prices to see such an awful team in such a poor atmosphere.
I was very excited initially to purchase the 5 year ticket package, but after going to a game, I was very disappointed. The tickets were over priced, the venue was horrible and any attempts at tailgating parties were a joke. I will never buy tickets to this series again. I will wait until we have our own team in Toronto, not subsidizing another's.
Total rip off. Terrible venue. Will never renew until Toronto has its own team in a proper stadium at fair price. What a money grab.
Well it all started off quite rocky as the tickets were really expensive and the product was, well it was the Bills! I felt like I was ripped off. As the years went on (5 years went pretty fast) the treatment that I got from Debra one of the leaders / agents was second to none. I was also refunded a certain amount every year for the last 2 or 3 years and so it made my experience that much more enjoyable. I am a Dolphins fan and a NFL fan and even though it was the Bills I truly enjoyed the series. The Bills record at 1-4 during the 5 year series was quite dreadful! The halftime shows were pretty much a bust if you ask me except for the last game in 2012 where Psy performed his hit Gangam Style. Overall, if I had the opportunity to do it again, I'm pretty sure I would. Cheers to the team that put this historic series on and Toronto on the NFL map.
Possible the worst sporting event I have been to in my life. Please send this game back to Buffalo.
The NFL is the best sport. I loved watching it in Toronto and wish Toronto had a team.
The game was mindnumbingly boring. The Bills did not show up to play and as a result they put the crowd to sleep.
Over priced, Over hyped, Poor competition. Toronto needs there own NFL team to support period. Let the bills stay in Buffalo and have there own city supoort it instead of wanting southern ontario too. Buffalo fans complain that Toronto's taking there team. So let them keep it but not ask us Ontarians to support. Rather spend it on our own teams. Why should Toronto be a hand me down to Buffalo. Besides Buffalo players dont want to be here so why support a team who does not want our supprt anyway.
Well, now that it is all over, what can be said about the NFL in Toronto? Leave it in Buffalo! Until we get our own team, the NFL is doing grievous harm to the Bills franchise by penalizing them by taking a home game away from Ralph Wilson Stadium, a much better place to watch an NFL game, from the tailgating on! So, go there! If you want to watch sports in Toronto, stick with basketball, baseball, lacrosse, AHL, and maybe the NHL, as if you can afford a hockey game any more!!!
This turned out to be one of the worst ideas I've ever had. Also the worst ratio of price paid to value delivered. I mistakenly assumed that Rogers could recreate some of the best parts of going to a Bills game - the tailgating and the stadium atmosphere. Instead the only similarity was unbelievably terrible play of the Bills themselves (which admittedly didn't help stadium atmosphere). We had a block of eight seats for eight guys. Whenever someone couldn't go, we were NEVER able to resell the tickets for more than half the face value (which was always less than what we originally paid). The two preseason games were worthless. I finally traded a pair of tickets for a pair of hot dogs because, after 20 minutes, that's the best I could get! We would have saved ourselves a lot of money had we just bought tickets on gameday. Next year I will go to a game in Buffalo (or maybe Pittsburgh), regardless of whether the Bills play here or not. At least there we can do some real tailgating. $11 beers and $4 sausages really kills the tailgating experience. I think that Toronto could support an NFL team but it has to be our team. Maybe if the Bills hadn't missed the playoffs for the past dozen years, there would have more support. But reality is that Toronto is an NFL town, not a Bills town. Don't blame the Bills players for not wanting to play here (although not sucking would have helped their cause). Unless you're going to move the team here, keep all games in Buffalo. I'd rather go there to see a game anyway.
Watching a football game in the Roger Center is like slow torture.
You want the NFL, go to the US. Toronto is a terrible experience.
Would have had more excitement with a stronger contending team
Went to all five games in the series. First game was nice, but the thrill all went down hill from there. No great match ups or star studded teams. Games always too late in the season where the Bills were always out of playoff contention. Will not be renewing.
This event was riddiculous, there was at least 15K seats available, the people who bought tickets to all 5 series game, played probably triple the price that the people who bough their discounted tickets at the last minute.
