  • Roughnecks versus Rock was Awesome!

by DreadPirateJimbo on 2010-02-15Pengrowth Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

NLL is, without a doubt, the best spectator sport on earth. Going out to see the Roughnecks defend their championship is a thrill and I look forward to every opportunity I get to go see them in action. The game against the Rock on Sunday was fast, exciting, and right down-to-the-wire. Tremendous entertainment.

I must say that I had a much better experience at this game than at my last one . . . the announcer was on top of things and did a much better job of getting the crowd into the game!! It was a great experience and I'm looking forward to the next game!! Go Necks Go!!!

  • Awesome game!!

I've been to a lot of Roughnecks games and I found the announcing not up to par and the music needed to be a little louder. The announcer seemed to spend too much time with advertisements and wasn't getting the crowd 'into' the game like he normally does. The game itself was amazing and always entertaining. I love lacrosse!!! I have tickets to 3 more games and I hope the announcing and music improves . . . hopefully, it was just an 'off' night!! I'm always boasting about how much fun the games are and will be bringing people that have never attended before, so I hope they won't be disappointed since I've talked it up so much.

  • Very Exciting

Loved it awesome want to go again!!! - I took the kids and they had a blast, where else could I go and they can be as noisy as they want. The only thing it would have been nice to know ahead of time that the birthdays could have been displayed on the "big screen" as we went for my son's 13th birthday.

  • Entertainment right down to the final buzzer

A great game even though my team did not win. It was action packed and well worth the price of admission. Gotta love lacrosse!

If you have never experienced a Roughnecks game you need to go! It's high energy, high action and they make the fans seem just as important as the players!

  • Roughnecks - NLL Champs

by familyfans on 2009-07-15Pengrowth Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Our family attended the NLL final and had a highly entertaining evening. The fans were loud and proud - we had lots of fun cheering on our local boys. It was terrific to watch such a fast paced game played with so much heart. These guys all have day jobs - and you just know that every player is out there because they love the game. My youngest son plays lacrosse - and this game was pure inspiration for him. You left the game grinning as you were a part of the magic.

  • roughnecks heartstopping excitment

by tourquoise on 2009-07-15Pengrowth Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

i love lacrosse i only went to two games this past season but loved every minute of the excitement. Sadly only myself and my children enjoy this game and they were not available to attend with me so i went alone and still enjoyed it to the max. The atmosphere is electric and fun. A beer a dog and among like minded fans what a rush. Next season i hope to attend more games even if i have to attend alone again. I am a 61 year old woman and get some rather odd looks when i attend the games on my own but that will not deter me.

  • Newbie Fan!

by Freezy on 2009-07-14Pengrowth Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first Roughneck's game. Championship game and I am hooked! I left the Saddledome asking "where do I get my season tickets"! The crowd at the game was unreal! The energy rivaled that of any Flames game. I loved that they played music the whole time. Also, thought it was great how the commentator poked fun at payers from both teams. It was fast moving and held my attention! I am a newbie fan.

  • Riggers Rocked the Dome!!!

by Necklehead on 2009-07-13Pengrowth Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

My daughters (10 & 12 years old) and I have gone to watch the Riggers play once a year for the past 3 or 4 years. We always enjoy the games. My girls comment that they like the high energy, speed and physical nature of the games. We would go to more games, but their indoor soccer schedules conflict with the Riggers schedule most games. The one game we got to this year? The best of them all - the Champion's Cup final. I've been to a lot of sporting events, including some championship moments (Canada Cup, WHL Final, World Series, and several amateur events). This championship lacrosse game was one of, if not the most exciting of all of them. Seeing the unbridled joy on the faces of the Roughnecks shows that these players truly play for the love of the game. We'll get out to more games next season, hopefully including another Champion's Cup final.

Getting the chance to see a championship game at a fair price was great. Became an instant fan of the game after experiencing the excitement and speed of the game. Will definintely attend games next year.

  • Championship game was simply amazing!!

by jimmyd on 2009-07-13Pengrowth Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

I went with my girlfriend and the whole night was awesome. We had fairly good seats in the second section and could see every goal/play. There was a half court shot just before half that I still can't believe how it went in. The fact that Calgary won it in Calgary made it that much more unforgettable.

  • Great Game

by Cowboy on 2009-07-13Pengrowth Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

I have been to many games, and this one was really exciting as they all are. Being a close game all the way through made it really exciting. Wanting the Roughnecks to win so bad, it was very nerve racking for the whole game. That's awesome as it really keeps you into the game. Roughnecks are a great team and it was truly awesome to be there to see them win that final game. Took my fiance to the game, and it wa her first time ever at a lacrosse gaem. Loved it as well. Could not believe how exciting and enjoyable it was to be there. I think she is hooked now and we will be at many more games.

  • Great excitement
