It was a terrible experience at this venue. Event staff proved to be hard and rude to deal with. Being accused of taking someone else’s ticket was by far the icing on the cake. Never will attend sask tel centre again. Ruined it for me and my friend
Great experience but don’t buy tickets in section 1, row 1 to watch curling. View partially obstructed. Staff found everyone in our row new seats but because there were 4 of us in our group it was harder to find good seats together. Our new seats were up 4 rows higher so not as enjoyable to watch curling.
My only complaint would be the minimal enforcement of masks in the stands. My understanding was that were required but I saw many who were either not wearing or wearing incorrectly and very little being done about it. The curling itself was beyond impressive. So many great shots!!
It seems not covid safe for a bus full of people to sit waiting to go home just because the schedule says it leaves 10 minutes after it is full. Not good ventilation… Yes we are all vaccinated but we know people get it anyway. Not reasonable to sit there..the drivers are volunteers so not sure how this should be changed
The curling was great at Sask Place but the trip to the Patch was terrible. We were there the opening day. After the first draw we waited outside for a shuttle to take us to the Patch for over half an hour in a freezing cold wind. When we got to the Patch there was only one place to eat and the lineup was long. We had a drink and headed back to Sask Place to eat. We have been to a few Briars and never had that kind of experience. There were always lots of booths to eat at and waiting for school buses to take us to the Patch was ridiculous especially when there were buses sitting there. We went out for dinner the next day as we weren’t going to go through that again.Boyd Henderson
Awesome. Every issue from ordering tickets to picking up tickets to the whole fan experience.
The curling was great, seat good. The bus system to the Patch was terrible. To far the walk to the bus and there were steps. The buses were disorganized, drivers not ready, very slow, long line up. Ended up not going then next draw took my own car.
SaskTel centre was great for food, atmosphere and cleanliness. The Patch was a huge disappointment due to not enough shuttle buses and once inside there were 10 alcohol kiosks and only ONE food venue with only two people working trying to feed 2000+ people.
Everything has been top notch, the curlers are making amazing shots. The busses were a bit slow when it was cold on Saturday night but that’s alright. Great time, I wish Saskatoon could host all the big spiels.
The stands seating was uncomfortable. Not much leg room. The patch being at another place was not convenient. The curling itself was enjoyable although many teams were not very competitive so some of the curling was sub standard. Canadian curlers are handicapped playing against many professional curlers who receive support from other countries.
Truly enjoyed the experience We had awesome seats very close to highest level so could hear players communicating back-and-forth great. We’ve seen some of the best curlers in the world. Would highly recommend anyone interested in Curling to attend this event
So well organized and the people are very friendly. Of course the curl has been fabulous to see live.
The screens suspended from the ceiling in the four corners of the arena needed to be larger. Also the odd ends should have had overhead cameras on each sheet linked to the screens.
