I am high on emotion, high again...

It was a wonderful mix of old and new. I was even surprised how he treated us to some unexpected hits such as Man On The Line and A Spaceman Came Travelling, which is a Christmas song.
It’s a shame he does not receive the recognition he deserves. Chris de Burgh is truly an amazing and talented songwriter with original music. After all, he is the storyteller. He doesn’t need a lot of fluff and gimmicks to impress us. His music and interaction with his fans is enough to leave us satisfied and grateful to have seen him perform.
This memorable evening began at 8pm sharp and continued to about 11pm with a slight 20 minute break or so. Chris is a real class act. After his first song he told the crowd that photographs were permitted. I have only been to one other show where the artist gave us his blessing to take photos and that was Burton Cummings.
The last time we had the privilege to see Chris was in Toronto 2012 and I can say he just gets better and better. Perhaps reaching some high notes is a bit more challenging now but no true fan would ever really care. He is full of life, humorous, and loves to interact with the fans as made obvious during Lady In Red. As with his Toronto show, he mingled with his fans during Lady In Red and we loved it. There is something to be said about artists who appreciate their fans and take time to shake hands, hug, and perhaps even offer autographs. Well, we did not get his autograph but both my wife and I got a hug; a moment we won’t soon forget.
Thank you Chris for a wonderful evening.
