About

Chris Stapleton was a fixture of the Nashville music scene long before becoming a contemporary torchbearer for outlaw country music. The Kentucky native moved to the Music City in 2001 and served as frontman for The SteelDrivers and The Jompson Brothers while writing songs for Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker and more. Stapleton unveiled his debut solo album Traveller in 2015 behind singles like “Nobody to Blame” and his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, “Tennessee Whiskey.” The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 six months after its release and has since been RIAA-certified platinum six times. In 2017, Stapleton released the two-volume effort From a Room, and his fourth full-length Starting Over followed in 2020. Stapleton has won eight Grammys and received two additional nominations in 2023 for his fifth album, Higher. Aside from working alongside country music heavyweights like Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Lee Ann Womack and Morgan Wallen, Stapleton has also shared the mic with pop elites such as Taylor Swift, Adele, Justin Timberlake, P!NK and Ed Sheeran.

Chris Stapleton was 50x better than I expected and I had pretty high expectations to begin with. His new song Broken Halos made me tear up. One of the best shows I've seen.

As one might expect, Chris Stapleton did not disappoint with his live show. Both he and his wife have incredible voices and hearing him belt out his tunes in all their glory live in person was enough to send shivers of awes down your spine - the man has got mega pipes, holy smokes! His music is incredible, the show was incredible and if you have even the tiniest bit of interest in his music you will be blown away by the real deal live! :) :)

Chris Stapleton is a very down to earth musician. Not much talk, and a whole lot of great music. Love his voice, and bluesy country songs.

  • fantastic show and vocals

by Mtemouse on 2017-03-28Northlands Coliseum (formerly known as Rexall Place) - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Great show with only four people on the stage. A very talented group to pull that off with with basically only three main instruments. Unfortunately there were two couples behind us who were loud, rude and talked through most of the evening. Spilled a drink on my jacket, kicked the back of our seats and swore continuously. Some people should not drink.

  • Fantastic musician

Loved Chris Stapleton. Loved that it wasn't all lights and flash...just him, his wife, bass guitarist and drummer! Highlights the fact that man can sing...and so can his wife! Bring them back and we will be going again!!

  • One word: AMAZING!!

by JCSEM on 2017-03-27Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Chris Stapleton is the real deal. He shows in spades how you don't need an 8 piece band, laser beams and confetti cannons to captivate a huge arena if you've got talent. I have never seen an artist -- any artist -- get a thunderous, extended standing ovation in the middle of a song like Chris did in the middle of "Fire Away". You could tell he was blown away by the outpouring of adulation from the crowd -- his wife was even crying! Afterwards, Chris said, "I have to collect myself"! I loved the intimate feel of the show, with the stage made up like a little amphitheatre or bandshell, illuminated by lights that changed colors, and the spotlights coming from right above. Chris doesn't talk much, but the music speaks for itself, and boy, you listen when it speaks! Singer, songwriter, enthralling performer; Chris has it all. A true artist.

  • Solid performance

by calgarycountryfan on 2017-03-27Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

You know with Chris Stapleton you will be getting a bit more of a subdued show, but he is a solid singer with a fantastic voice. A highlight was his wife as a backup singer - her voice could carry an entire show - she is VERY talented and the mix of the two was heavenly.

  • Amazing show!

Hey Chris I'm sorry but if you want your fans to get pumped for the night, please get a better opening act. Putting that aside, you put on an awesome show :-)

  • Chris Stapleton show amazing

    by Jneaner16 on 2017-03-26MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

Chris Stapleton put on a great show. As expected, he didn't interact with the crowd a lot but it was okay because his music just seems so genuine, you know that he is ensuring his audience is entertained. I love the contrast of his gravelly voice and Morgan's pure, clear voice. They are amazing together. It was a simple show, just a 4 piece band but you didn't need anymore. They weren't wearing flashy outfits, they were just there to play and sing. The crowd loved them.

  • by Eastmang on 2017-03-26MTS Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

One excellent show - would like to get a set list of some of his new & covers
