Cortéo—an Italian word meaning "cortège" or procession—was a contemporary circus show about a clown who watches his own funeral taking place in a carnival-like atmosphere. It was partly inspired by The Grand Parade: Portrait of the Artist as Clown on display at the National Gallery of Canada.

Great experience! We have seen 6 shows and all were different and wonderful
My husband I like to go to any Cirque du Soleil show when we have a chance, when we seen corteo coming to the city we jumped at it. It did not disappoint us, we very much enjoyed the show. We went to be entertained and we definitely were. Thanks for a great show!!!
Most slow paced and can I say boring Cirque performance that I’ve seen.
I enjoyed the acrobatics but the theme was very odd. Many of the acts seemed to be thrown in but really didn't jive with the storyline. It was very difficult to make any sense of the story and characters.
The cirque de soliel performance was amazing ! My daughter and I will treasure the memory of this event for years to come.
We weren't really impressed with Corteo. Storyline was hard to follow and was all over the place. I wouldn't recommend this particular show.
Show was great…from what we could see of it….. The setup of the stage and curtains block a large part of our view resulting in us missing a quarter of the show. Not sure why they would offer those seats if you can’t see from them??
We loved the set and the show was truly outstanding. So glad we attended!
The show was fabulous but sitting in the upper bowl made it challenging to see and feel connected to the show. If I was to go again, I’d splurge for lower bowl seats.
This was my third show and I must say they have lost lots of quality. Not what one day was. Too much talking way less performing. No colors.
A great show. The humour was nice. The singing was absolutely fantastic, I was in awe listening to the Italian lyrics and had goose bumps. The acrobatics were wonderful. You just can’t go wrong buying tickets to see them. Worth every penny and I’m pretty thrifty.
I wasn't sure what to expect from the afterlife theme of Corteo, but I never should have doubted. Cirque du Soleil's world class performers always deliver an unforgettable experience. I think the "human"trapeze was my favorite, but the trampolines and raw strength of the rope acts left my jaw dropping. Totally worthwhile!
Choreography, performance and so much more. It was my first show and not my last. The crew did an incredible job keeping us on the edge of the seat. A must see!
I’m a fan of Cirque du Soleil shows. Been to a handful of them and plan on attending more. This was not my favourite one to watch. I felt it hard to follow as there were many performers on stage just taking up space and not doing much. The performances made me feel like I was at some regular circus. The wow factor just wasn’t there for my family and I. To top it off the seating situation was horrible. I understand why it was set up the way it was with the rotating stage but we were so high up we couldn’t see much besides the top off the performers heads. I will always recommend going to one of these shows but this one on particular I wouldn’t recommend to people.
This show was disappointing in comparison to two other Cirque shows I have seen. It was a combination of half play and half Cirque du Soleil with many skits and more talking than previous shows. Previous Cirque shows had little to no talking and felt like one impressive act after another. This felt like I was waiting for the long skits to end so I could see the next act. A lot of the acts were really impressive but it just didn't feel like we got as much as in previous shows. The venue was also very warm and uncomfortable.
any small tent or big circus. I saw the same routines when I was a small child back in the USSR and later when I took my children to see the shows. I expected more sophisticated show. The light, music, singing, costumes, stage - all was great, but it could not define what one would expect to see presented by the Cirque du Soleil. However, the professionnalism of all actors, artists, and gymnasts is outstanding! Bravo! Roméo and Juliette - out of taste. Not enough clowns for children... Overall, it was not a bad show, but it was a simple tent show, not a famous Cirque du Soleil.
The Corteo show was awesome! We have Row 2 seats so the sound was a bit loud, but the performers were fun and very professional. Glad to see Cirque on the road again and can't wait for the next show!
I was with a party of 9 people and I am disabled. They were able to put me in a section where I was very close to the rest of my family. I really appreciated that and the staff member helping me was very helpful and polite. I can tell you that does not always happen when they are dealing with the disabled. We really enjoyed the show especially the first half. The second half lost some of its luster especially the part where they were putting on a play. That was not good and added nothing to the show. We thought the set was exciting and of course all the performers were outstanding.
Took my daughter and grand children. Everyone loved it
