Cirque du Soleil: Varekai Tickets

I've wanted to see cirque du soleil for a very long time, and finally we got a chance to see it. What a disappointment! They are known for their extraordinary acrobatic skills...there were 2 short acrobatic segments that were very good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Most of the show was creatures crawling around the stage in fancy costumes. There were some comic sections which weren't that funny. I felt most of the show were just fillers until the end when they did the acrobatics. The tickets were very expensive and the show was not worth half the price of the tickets. Very disappointed.

If this is your first Cirque de Soliel you'll enjoy it, but if you've seen several as we have it was ok. In fact the beginning was boring. The 'comedy' portions were the best. Last year's Kurios was far better. I wonder if the change in ownership is the problem...

We found the show quite boring, actually. No wow factor with this one.

My least favourite of the Cirque shows; the music was fair to overblown and still boring, the artists are of course always spectacular and putting themselves out as they always do but the direction and the theme of the show itself was more of a distraction than a help- and was more spectacle than story. Not the finest Cirque show I've seen; being in the ACC minus the Big Top didn't help. Still some fine work on behalf of the artists but no thanks to the direction or the music.

Our 8 year old daughter was blown away. It was her first Cirque show and we weren't sure she'd appreciate it. She got past the lack of "dialogue" and a storyline not easily interpretted by her age group, but she was mesmerized by the colourful costumes and aerials. The next day she asked us when Cirque's next show was going to be.

I went to Kurios last year with my family and was blown away, however when we saw Varekai at the ACC we were pretty disappointing. The show was very short compared to Kurios and was missing a lot of the wow factors that we had seen before and that were in the trailer. The story was also very hard to follow. Cirque du Soleil is amazing but this is not one of their better shows. I would recommend you save your money for one of the others.

it was our first time seeing a Cirque du Soleil show so to us it was a stunning visual display. The story was a little hard to follow but the acts were well dont, the costumes were gorgeous and the 'clowns" made the show.. i was not expecting it to be as funny as that.

There just weren't enough incredible acrobatics. Lots of silly entertainment and dancing but this show isn't up to the current level i have come to expect from Cirque. The artists executed well but the show was underwhelming.

My family visited for the second time this circus and we are ecstatic , children are constantly clapping their hands , and I admired acrobatics and costumes . I highly recommend everyone to visit this circus.

We have been to a few other Cirque du Soleil shows and we would have to rate this as the worst of them all. We did not enjoy it. The storyline was boring.

It was the first time that I had seen Cirque de Soli. It was a great show. Very colorful and would recommend that anyone should see it.

I have seen 5-6 shows so far and this was one of my least favourite. Was not quite sure what the theme was supposed to be, some acts were a bit silly, and others weren't that impressive...

I have seen many Cir Sol shows and loved them all. This one was pieced together from other shows with a few "new" acts. The cast seemed smaller. There were great moments but over all it did not flow nor feel like the other shows I have seen. This was in the ACC center where the Maple Leafs play. I have been to a few in the big tent that were much better.

I have seen Cirque over 15 times and this by far was the worst venue and performance. Wait for the next one.

The show was really not up to Cirque Du Soleil standards. It was really of poor quality. You should not expect to see any thing spectacular. It was all typical tricks that you see on TV. The custom choice was awful ( I can not imagine how some parents with kids felt about it- watching almost naked people running around). The sound was not working either ( either too high or too low pitch). The guy singer was really annoying and his voice was far from soothing. It was waste of money. I can not regret more getting the tickets and put the afford and time to watch such a cheap show.

Very disappointed, I'm a big Cirque fan and have seen several of their production and this was not up to the standard that I've come to expect from them!!

This was the third Cirque du Soleil show that I've attended and I'm sad to say it was unimpressive. I applaud the performers for their art and physical feats but at no point did I burst out laughing or go Oh Wow! It felt like the performers were just doing a job and going through the motions. The music was very loud, harsh and sometimes did not compliment the performance. Cirque du Soleil has a reputation that suppose to leave you in awe, telling everyone about what you've seen and make you feel like your money was well spent.

Could have spent this money and time doing much better things. What a disappointment !!! They way it is posted on the website is completely opposite if the performance. The Chinese acrobats at the CNE had better performance. This was just a low level of acrobats with nothing to remember except noise and stupid dance steps.

A memorable family outing - the children were spellbound, just a fabulous production - typical of Cirque de Soleil.
