  • Colbie Caillat was awesome!

by JenandBaboo on 2013-03-23Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Colbie Caillat has an amazing voice, a beautiful repertoire of songs, and a comfortable, warm presence on stage! She sang all her familiar, popular songs that we anticipated and some wonderful, brand new songs! What a great experience!

It is beautifully effortless when she sings. It was a good show. She performs really well and It was a good sounding room. Definititly worth the money:)

  • she is a good singer but to casual beef it up.

She is a good singer but lacked stage presence i felt like i was watching a girl going to a beach volley ball game as soon as she was done. I expected a little more class.

Laid back style with very nice moments. I really liked her concert.

  • Colbie in the pouring rain

It was amazing. It was pouring rain and she still perfermed for all of her fans! Best experience ever

  • Colbie was great, too bad it was wet.

My daughter and I had a great time at the show. Colbie Caillat was gracious and sounded fantastic! Our only problems had to do with the rain. Since it was an outdoor venue, we were rained out of our seats and had to sit in the back of the Grandstand. The show started late and was cut early. That was disappointing, but we understood why. I'm not sure if I would buy tickets to another Western Fair show for that reason, but Colbie was worth it to us in the long run.

  • Worth sitting in the rain for!

Andy Grammer was great! Love his beatboxing in his songs! JUST GREAT! Colbie Caillat was absolutely AMAZING! The show was cut short because of the "almost-tornado" but her performance was worth sitting through it. She is a positive reminder that not all woman in the music industry have to "shake their booty" or "sell sex" to be a successful artist!

Although waiting for Colbie to come on at 10pm was a little tedious (doors opened at 7pm and we came early), she sounded AMAZING live and really connected with the crowd. Since it was at Kool Haus and the stage area was reletively small, she didn't really have a show with costume changes, etc., which was kind of boring after a while, but her voice still made me really enjoy the concert and never forget that experience.

  • Colbie Caillat Breakthrough - More than I imagined

by IceyMickey on 2009-10-14Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

It was awesome. She's beautiful. Songs were great.

  • She really is Fearless

    by Mfisher3721 on 2009-10-13Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It started off with a laid back surfer dude type singer named Trevor Hall. He was pretty good, got the crowd going. His best song was The lime tree (which featured background vocals by Colbie Caillat). Following him was Howie Day. Just shy of perfect, he sang a perfect set including his 2 singles from his first album; Collide and she says and followed it with his new singles and a little piece of electric rock. The only problem with Howie Days' set was there was no percussion to keep a beat. Other than that his voice and his back up was absolutely perfect. Finally Colbie Came on. The intro was 4 minutes long of her band members playing just to get us all riled up. Out she walks, calm cool and gorgeous. There isn't much to say other than she was perfect, full of smiles and thanks. She talked a lot more than she did when I saw her 2 years ago. She sang all of her singles from coco and did an acoustic set. Her song Lucky that is normally performed with her and Jason Mraz was filled in by her back up singer Justin. It was great. She also did a cover of the Pussy cat dolls Don't Cha which was just great. Her whole band had fun with this and sang and danced along with her. Her Stage manager also chimed in by singing No Woman No Cry. To say that the whole night was perfect would be an understatement. At the end of the night Both her and Howie Day did a meet and greet with the crowd. The lighting, stage and venue were perfect. It was a perfect spot to hold the concert and any other acoustic rock concert.

  • Colbie was great!

    by Meghan13 on 2009-10-13Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Friends and I went to see Colbie this saturday. We arrived at 7 and waited for 3 hours until she finally went on!! There were a couple performances in between but the waiting was brutal! They took so long in between performances to set up. We actually considered leaving. Once she finally went on, she was unreal! Her voice is perfect and so is she.I am so happy we stayed but I don't know if i could go back because of the brutal waiting times!

  • Colbie Caillat should ditch Howie Day

by Anonymous on 2009-10-13Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Colbie Caillat was great. As I have found with many mainstream artists (John Mayer being the prime example), the musicianship that is displayed by Colbie and her band is WAY better live than can ever be captured on a mass-audience album. The show had much more edge than one would expect and that was a good thing. Colbie looked much less "wholesome" than she is usually seen and was downright sexy on stage. Her rendition of The Pussycat Dolls "Don'tcha" was fantastic and provided a ton of spark for the rest of the show. The only unfortunate part of this show was Howie Day's misguided and failed attempt at producing a sound that I can only describe as a poor-man's version of Peter Frampton-esque electronic innovation. Day varied wildly between uninspired and boring folk to this starnge techno-crap. This was 45 minutes of my life that I would dearly like to have back. The pre-opening act, who's name escapes me was quite good. Fantastic percussion and a great reggae sound.

  • AMAZING

I went and saw the Colbie Caillat and it was awesum! Her voice was true to CD and she seemed real. I would go see her again. The venue was a good size.

  • Good performance but who wants to wait 3 hours

by tropiconline on 2009-10-13Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

In short..the performance was good...but this is my second visit to this venue and the complaint is the same. Standing for 4 hours for a performer who is billed to start at 7:00 but does not make it to the stage until 11:30 is ridiculous ..!!!!

  • DEF. WORTH THE DRIVE FROM MONTREAL TO SEE COLBIE!!

    by JenG87 on 2009-10-12Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Me and 3 friends drove all the way from Montreal to Toronto to see Colbie because she cancelled her Montreal venue. I can't explain how AMAZING, TALENTED and BEAUTIFUL she is!!! My friends and I were speechless because she has such an amazing VOICE and personality. She sang songs from her new album and from her COCO album. She also sang her version of "Don't Cha" from the PCD. I LOVE YOU COLBIE!!! The 6 hours drive was ALL WORTH IT!!!

  • Colbie was fantastic!

Great evening at Kool Haus with Colbie and Justin Young. Really enjoyed the show - even better than when she was here with John Mayer at the Molson Amph. Loved being able to get so close to her and dance through every song.

  • great performance

saw Colbie Caillet at Commodore ballroom, in Vancouver. She sounds amazing, and has fun on stage. It felt like a very intimate show, which I like. Her band was fun too.

  • Exceptional Show

by HooverLush on 2009-10-11Kool Haus - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Colbie was very appreciative of her audience and expressed it well. Her voice and the blending of her band members was extrorindary. Her stage manager has a deep incredible voice for such a little guy. Seeing her in a small venue is much nicer than at a big venue such as the Air Canada Centre. Thanks for a wonderful career and safe travelling to you and your band. Regards Hoover
