Having just gotten over a cold illness, Colin refused to let that slow him down - leading in with half dozen songs from his new blues album - was amazing! His band, including the surprise guest Steve, from Monkey Junk were all fantastic. This has been our 5th time to enjoy Colin in concert, to us it was his best. Always love it when he comes out into the audience while playing - you really see his genuine connection with his fans. Always giving accalades to his band - such a nice guy.

Colin James was very entertaining even though he was fighting a cold. I was very pleased that he had Steve Mariner touring with him in support of this album. His sound on the album is unmistakable. Great fit and interaction on stage. The band gelled like they have always played together.

A Must see! The talent of Colin James and his skilled musicians made to one of the concerts I have ever seen!

We thoroughly enjoyed Colin and band last night. Just an excellent show! I took my fiancée who was never exposed to this music, and she is now a fan. I loved the beat, the music just sank into your bones and made you come alive. Just an excellent concert. If you love rock and the blues, you shouldn't miss this show. We will definitely go again.

First of all the opening act Sami Nielsen and her backup musicians were so so good! What a voice and such a talent!! Absolutely loved them!! Then C.J. Came out and without much of a break between songs he proceeded to play for at least the next hour and a half. Phenomenal musicians!! Every single one of them!! First time that I went to see him and I would rate this as one of the top concerts that I went to!! Will be seeing him the next time he comes through town. Go see him!!!

Colin James is an awesome Canadian blues artist! I was in the second balcony and could barely see the stage, never mind the artists. The sound was bouncing all around making it difficult to hear clearly. The sound had too much bass. Especially the sound of the kick drum. Also, I would suggest to Burton Cummings Theatre install big video screens to make it easier for people to see what's happening on stage. will never sit in the second balcony again. I would've given this concert a rating a five star if it wasn't for these awful seats.

Overall sound was amazing at the Burt. Thoroughly enjoyed the opener in addition to the epic Colin James performance despite the fact his throat was giving him hell by the end. A truly great and underrated Canadian artist and I really hope to see him in concert again.

Saw Colin James over 25 years ago at the Walker, which is a grand place to say the least, he was great then and still is now. Definitely worth money to see.

Solid and gutsy bluesy performance by Colin James ... who was feeling a little under the weather but still performed incredibly well! Was on the edge of my seat from start to finish ... wow!!

I love Colin James. Third time seeing him and he never fails to entertain. Voice is excellent. I usually kind of cringe a bit when a group says they are going to play something from a new album. You usually just want to hear the stuff you've loved over the years, however his new stuff was great!! I'll be buying the new cd. Absolutely loved the show! Even the opening act was awesome!
