Colin James Tickets

Sitting in the second row of the NAC, it felt like Colin was playing just for me. He began with a stunning rendition of Saviour of Bad Habits, careened through his vast repertoire of songs from his long career and ended, all to soon, with Fleetwood Mac's Oh Well and Van Morrison's Into the Mystic. James snag every song note perfectly, played every solo with conviction and energy and was backed by a six-piece band that clearly new the material well.

Very tight group, nice energy; will go see him again! Just wish he would have done a little bit more big band like surely; people would have gone nuts! Good job James!

The opening act Liam Titcomb was fabulous .He reminds me of Keith Urban's style of music.Colin was high fiving the audience but they did not need any more encouragement they were already hyped up.

The energy that Colin exudes is high-power ! The audience sang along to all of his songs old and new. The only drawback for me was that the show was at the NAC not to say that the NAC is not a beautiful venue. The Ottawa crowd simply sat throughout the entire concert where there could have easily been some dancing in the aisles. I truly enjoyed the show. I've seen Colin before and will definitely see him again!

I am a BIG Fan of Colin James from his early years to now and Beyond ( LOL ) but i have to Rate his show at only 50 % . I rate all shows by 50 % music choice/sound and Stage presence /stage show. Music choice was average and sound was average with a bit of a problem as we sat on the right side of the stage and they had the left guitar player panned to the left and only mixed him to the right when he soloed . So we missed some of the music. Colin James had a BIG Presence for a small guy with a big smile but as he played and missed many notes he made quirky faces displaying to the tuned person that he has having issue's and may have been a little to much Rusty. He changed guitars so many times i though maybe he'd better change his strings more often OR that his guitar tech might just be a better Wal-Mart greeter LOL.. The showed was a whooping 1 1/2 hrs with a 2 song encore included ( Huh ) thats right , a hour and one half ?????? i felt kind of disappointed , we usually get a 2 hour show including encore ( or close too ). Another annoyance ( LOL ) is that he always favors the left side of the stage in his shows . Don't sit on the right if you want to see blazing solo's and great interaction. Would i go see him again ? YES , in hopes that this night will be the night he decides to let loose and really show us the talent he is instead of the bumbling Blues man that stood in his place for this show.... Thruth being i think it was his first on the raod show for this tour and they didn't warm up enough in the pre tour and it really showed to his fans who know he can do better ( even on a bad day )....

excellent No gimmicks just Colin and his band. Loved it...The acoustics were great well worth the money

I really enjoyed listening to Liam Titcomb. He did a great job as an opening act. I like seeing newer artist beening promoted by established performers. Colin gave an amazing performance. I really liked the concert. I would have found it even more enjoyable if I felt more comfortable about standing up and rocking out to the music. I found this audience too subdued to be able to do that. My experience with concerts is, if you stand up and show your appreciation for the preformance, the artists enjoy their experiance as well. This translates into an even better concert all round and a better chance of them coming back.

Colin James was born with the God given talent of not only playing the guitar with finesse and ease but also a fantastic voice with perfect pitch no less. He has style and grace. You can tell that he enjoys what he does, is grateful for the gifts he has been given and is more than willing to share the experience with his fans. I’ve been a fan and admirer from the beginning. Thank you Colin for being you. You are AWESOME!!

The show was amazing, We had front row seats and Colin played to the audience. The talent on the stage was unbelievable.

I thought it was an amazing show! I used to attend his concerts in Vancouver back in the late 80's and he still has it going on! I really enjoyed the show, it was awesome!!

Colin is one of the best quitarist ! He has an amazing voice!

This was a fabulous concert!!! One of the best I have experienced. Colin James is masterful on stage in every respect - guitar work, voice, connection with the crowd, etc. and his backup band was tight. He really looks like he is enjoying himself and that he appreciates his fans. I discovered that his opening number, Saviour, was from a 1995 album. He should re-record the song now. The updated version was rockin' and earned him one of the earliest standing ovations I have seen at a concert. Wow!

Brilliant show! Excellent selections and got even the Ottawa crowd into it. Only complaint was the venue, although great for viewing not good for dancing.

The opening act was a little slow paced but decent. Then Colin James went on and was engaging while masterfully playing almost all of the songs you could want to hear. I had seen him before and I will surely see him again! Credit to the sound people at the nac, sounded great!

Excellent show! His voice was in fine form- even better than last time I saw him (he had a cold then), and the band was amazing! Love the sax players! Liam Titicombe opened- really great voice too- good tunes, and good stage presence. Very entertaining!

Oct 15 Colin James and his band rocked the house at the NAC in Ottawa. CJ played virtually all cuts from recent Fifteen album as well as familiar tunes from the "vault". Great guitar playing as well as big band arrangements and energy.

Loved every moment of the show. Colin has a great voice and he is an amazing guitar player.

Colin was amazing. I wish people in Ottawa would get off their butts and dance a little during the show. This would show Colin how much we appreciate his talent and the fact that he continues to come to Ottawa.

I have never seen him live before but I would highly recommend seeing him in concert. He is an excellent Canadian entertainer...fantastic guitar player!
