Colin James Tickets

I'm a Colin James fan but was disappointed with the show. James' singing and musicianship were top notch, and so was the band, but the sound quality was poor. The instruments and vocals blurred together, the bass over-powered everything and the sound level was way to high. Seemed like the volume was set for a stadium rather than a concert hall. We had good seats at balcony level, centre. I've seen other rock and blues shows at The Rock where the sound quality was excellent. The audio strategy for the James show seemed to be that loud would be fitting for a New Year's concert. But the net effect was that the audience was cheated out of some fine music because all subtlety and instrument separation was lost in the blare.

Colin James Rocked River Rock on New Years Eve! It was a great venue for New Years with dinner/dancing and a show all in one sitting. The seats were removed in the lower area of the auditorium to accommodate tables & chairs for dinning so it made it a very intimate evening to enjoy a great show and dance. We booked early and had a great table 30 ft. from the stage. The setup was so intimate that the stage was only thigh high so you could stand in front of the stage, on the dance floor, and be just a few feet away from the band...it was very cool. If a favorite atist of yours is playing there next year BOOK IT! If you haven't see Colin James before, and enjoy his music, he is a must see.

Colin James never was one of my favorite musicians but it was was something fun to do for NYE this year and my friends who came with us weren't that familiar with his songs but we all thought that he put on a great show! We all totally enjoyed the night! Thanks to Colin for an awesome 2011 NYE celebration!

This concert was absolutely fantastic. The sound was amazing. I loved that it was an acoustic concert, and WOW were they impressive. Two very, very skilled men. I was blown away. HIGHLY recommended if you get a chance to see them.

As always Colin puts on an unreal show. This is the first time I have seen him on an unplugged set and it's as good if not better than his electric little big band set. Chris caddell was also fantastic

Colin James was his usual "awesome" self on Friday night in Vancouver. I had never seen his acoustic set and it was a very intimate and yet invigorating performance. He performed as he always does. Fabulous! Colin and Chris Goddel were an amazing duo and both complimented one another. Colin's songs took on a flavour of their own as he exchanged guitars and I'd say he outdid himself once again! Can't wait for him to come to town again.

Looked forward to seeing CJ once again...have seen many times the last few being in Nanaimo....he never disappoints...always gives more than expected. The venue was great at the Centre in Vancouver.

The sound, ambiance and gutarist's were wonderful. View and sound from general admissions area was great. I would defiantly go again to Colin James and this facility.

I loved the intimate atmosphere of this show, it allowed for some wonderful interactions between the audience and Colin. It was great to hear him perform all his hits in an acoustic setting. His voice and playing is as good as ever!

Wednesday night's performance by Colin James was absolutely perfect. Both guitarists were spot-on in every way-not just musically, but also with their amusing interplay with the audience. The opening act was also very good. It was my first time at the NAC, and I found it to be acoustically excellent(not a bad seat in the house really). I will definitely return for other shows!

Listening and watching, you see that Colin James loves being a musician. He is passionate about the music he plays and plays music with passion. An amazing performer engaged with the audience.

This was one of the best concerts I've been to in a long time! Colin was in rare form and Chris Cuddy was great for the acoustics!! I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'll never understand why Colin James isn't an international superstar. But it's our blessing that he's not, because he returns to Ottawa at least once a year. As always, his show was a blast. I especially enjoy these acoustic, "parlour-style" shows. Besides his incredible voice and unmatched guitar skills, it's just a joy to watch him because it's so obvious he's having the time of his life.

Colin James is truly a gifted guitarist, singer, songwriter. His playing was stunning, but what surprised me most about the performance was the quality of his vocals. He interacted with the audience between every song, joked, and made the event a very intimate evening. I attend several performances every year at a variety of venues, and i found the sound quality and volume of both the guitar and vocals at this show absolutely perfect! A truly sensational performance!

Third time I see this man perform and boy does he bring it home. His acoustic performance always amazes me - because you can still feel the never ending energy he gives just sittin' there in the chair. Played everything I wanted to hear too! Opening act was 'so-so'. Only complaint --- needed a dance floor for some of those tunes :)

There is no better way to see Colin James than in a small theatre - acoustic. the Studio at Hamilton Place was nice and cozy. Like Chris Caddell said; it's like playing around the campfire. Multiple types of guitars paired with two strong voices makes for one great show! The audience sang along, Colin talked to the audience - it was nice and personal.

A fantastic concert. Great sound, not too small or too large a venue. Easy parking and restaurants close by easy access t o the highway. The music was great. I have seen Colin James about 4 times but this was the first time for this acoustic concert. I definitely recommend this concert and venue to everyone
