Colin James Tickets

I was very excited to see Colin James in the Arden. Unfortunately, I was unaware that this was also a special celebration for the Arden Theatre itself. There was no mention of this other Arden celebration on the ticket or advertisement for tickets. I was disappointed in the concert because he only played for an hour, due to this other celebration. Had I known I was paying for only an hour of entertainment, I would have saved my money.

We were under the impression that it was a Colin James concert, and not the anniversary of the venue (the Arden Theatre), "featuring" Colin James... so the music was ok, but overall, we weren't impressed...

Colin puts on a good show as usual and is front and center for good reason. HOWEVER, it would have been nice to hear a little more of Little Big Band, especially the horn section and keyboard player. Also I was hoping to hear a few more oldies even though I realize the need for promotion of new music. The weather was cold for the Garden Party but it was fun and the food was fantastic. Some outdoor heaters would be a good suggestion for next time.

I can't begin to tell you how amazing this concert was. The Arden Theatre in St. Albert is a wonderful little venue that makes you feel that whatever you're seeing there is being preformed just for you. It's small, quaint, accoustics are splendid, parking is not an issue, the staff is friendly and more than willing to take the time for you. We will definitely return. Colin James is at the top of his art. His voice just gets stronger and richer and his guitar talent is, by far, one of the best. I saw him years ago at Lulu's in Kitchener Waterloo Ontario (unfortunately that bar is no longer in existence) and although he's changed his music style somewhat, he's still one of my fave Canadian artists. I'd like to think that I've grown up with him, we have a great relationship he and I.

I realize it was a whole "event," but Colin James, as fantastic an artist as he is, was hardly on stage for an hour. I wouldn't feel so cheated if there had been more Colin and less standing in line for hors d'oeuvres.

The short time that Colin James and the Little Big Band played was very good--just not long enough.

What a great concert. A small venue but the show was personal and Colin James put on a great show. I have rarely enjoyed a concert as much as this one and I will definately go again when he is in town.

Watching Colin James and his band is always a treat. Watching them in a venue of 500 people his amazing. What made this night better was how Colin and the band mingled with everyone afterwards and took time to chat with anyone that wanted to express there thoughts with them. Souljah Fyah kept the party going afterwards with there mesmorizing sounds. The whole evening was enchanting. Kudos to the Arden Theatre for getting these two wonderful bands together for an evening to remember.
