Colin James is still one of the best live shows to see. His stage presence is outstanding, his voice is clear and strong. He looks and sounds better than he did 20 years ago. Consummate performer. Awesome show.
Colin James Live is always a great show. The guy is incredibly talented, guitar, singing, songwriting, and performance is all top notch. I can't believe more of his songs aren't on the radio, every album is great and the songs are all catchy. Best guitar player I have seen live next only to Mark Knopfler. Colin James is one of the best if not the best guitar players in North America and anyone who says different hasn't seen or heard him yet. If you get the chance to see this guy live he won't let you down and you'll be blown away. 4th time seeing him and still great.

In keeping with these difficult and sometimes devastating times, it was a great place to be last night watching Colin et al...blast the past into my ears and heart. The oldies and his new material meld into a vibrant, fun cacophony of bluesy rock! His passion is obvious and his joy for life shows in his playfulness. I listened and rocked in my seat and clapped and sang along with my sister, (who energized our entire row). The only thing sadly missing was a dance floor!
He was amazing. The energy at the Jubilee was incredible. He went on and on and on.
Suzie McNeil and Colin James was Truly Awesome! :) Definitely Was a Night to Remember for Years to Come and Can't Wait to See "Colin James" again! :) I haven't seen him in Concert for 22 Years and he just gets Better and Better All the Time! :) Definitely WAS One Awesome Show! :D
Great music, great songs, took us down memory road with the old songs and some good new ones as well from his new album.
This is the fourth time I have seen him perform and it is an excellent show every time. He is an amazing guitar player, one of the best out there. His voice is a good as the first time I heard him (many years ago) or even better. He engages the audience and performs deep within his soul.
Both artists were great performers and this was a great concert!
A musician that displays a great appreciation to the diversity of music!
As always, a showman! Great choices of songs to play. Loved the horns! Suzie McNeil was a great opened.
Mesmerizing! I have rarely felt the way I did at Colin James's show. Reminiscent of watching Clapton wail on the guitar for two hours, James was incredible. What an amazing musician. I have such a great appreciation for him now. Displaying non-stop guitar genius right before my eyes, with an incredibly tight band and soul stretching music, this was a fun show. Thank you to Colin James, who appears so humble in spite of his talent, and who put on a seamless show of brilliance.
We were transfixed and amazed. Thanks for coming to Calgary Colin! We are fans and you honored us Wednesday night.
His talent was unbelievable and the amount of different types of guitars this man could play has never been seen on live stage. FIVE STARS OUT OF FIVE STARS.
Entertaining, energetic, electric. When they played "Into the Mystic" I was sad because I thought they were ending the show ... but no, they kept delivering song after song for about another 45 minutes. There's nothing like live music (I think he said that last night too) ... and there's no one like Colin James. Love you man! Keep on lovin' me baby ....
Best concert of the year !!! Colin James is a great artist and really under-rated for his talent. Was at a smaller venue (Jubilee Auditirium) in Calgary but acoustics were very good. Back-up band was solid.
Again an enjoyable show.........How he keeps getting better who cares.......A lot of the songs on the new album were covered last night as well as a lot of his other trade mark hits.The new album is a must.... it covers the deversity and talent of Colin. Fast ,slow, rock ,jazz and brass......He doesn't neet all the special effects to pull of a great show just raw talent and a band second to none.Keep coming back.......................13 albums and counting
This was the 4th time seeing Colin James. The man just keeps getting better .
Suzie MacNiel started the show and showed an incredible voice. I wasn't too keen on the electric beats seeing as she claimed it was an acoustic set. Colin James has mad skills. Truly a great guitar player. The organ player fussed around too much which was a bit of a distraction as did the drummer. He even left several times only to return and start playing immediately. I don't think it was planned. Some of his new stuff was a little slow but that picked up and I was moving in my seat. The Jubilee is a beautiful venue.
Colin James proved last night that he can still rock and roll and was totally at ease and comfortable as he strolled up and down the stage performing solo after solo. My only complaint was that the sound was not up to par and I felt Colin was short changed as it was very difficult to make out the words on the majority of the tunes, although once he stopped singing, his guitar and the rest of the band were all that mattered.
