Come From Away on Tour

The true story of the small town that welcomed the world.

Broadway's COME FROM AWAY has won Best Musical all across North America!

The New York Times Critics' Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.

Don't miss this breathtaking new musical written by Tony® nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and helmed by this year's Tony-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley. Newsweek cheers, "It takes you to a place you never want to leave!"

On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.

  • It’s the power of kindness

by Kitti on 2025-05-12Avenir Centre - MonctonRating: 5 out of 5

This show is a phenomenon. Its was created base on the power of kindness, friendship and love . The music is amazing and it takes you on a ride that plays with your emotions. One minute you laugh, then you cry. The next minute you laugh even harder and something makes you cry again. The cast puts it all in their performance. They are a bunch of talented people playing multiple characters and switching personalities and accents. Their vocal skills are impeccable and that makes this show very impressive. I’m a big fan and I will keep supporting this show and these performers

  • Awesome

Best musical ever. Lived up to expectations and then some. Awesome actors/singers, musicians, and choreography. Only downside was how long it took to get parked.

  • Come From Away

by Rick on 2025-05-12Avenir Centre - MonctonRating: 5 out of 5

I found the show brought out so many emotions. It was a sad event that brought out the best in so many people who were helping those who had their flights diverted. The show focused on the impact both positive and negative of the event and on how so many people in a small community did so much for complete strangers. The show was wonderfully done and paid tribute to Gander where they did an incredible job looking after all the people in true Newfoundland fashion!

I laughed, I cried, I sang, I stomped my feet, I clapped my hands and then did it all over again & again. Left the show with the best feeling ever. The cast was amazing. Thank you for bringing this wonderful show to Moncton.

I had listened to this musical a hundred times, but nothing measures up to a live performance. It was beautiful, the case was amazing, and I love how they transformed the Avenir Centre into a theatre!

Well done! It brought back what the world went through following that faithful day but more importantly what the People directly impacted went through. It was very touching and powerful!

  • Brilliant!!!

    by Nancy G on 2025-05-12Avenir Centre - MonctonRating: 5 out of 5

Wow! Fantastic show. I am a Come From Away myself, moving to the Maritimes from the west coast of Canada. I have never doubted that decision and this show totally proved the beauty, heart and soul of this part of the world. It brought me to tears. The cast was brilliant. The hand clapping, foot stomping final song had the entire audience on their feet in true Newfoundlander fashion.

  • Fabulous show

by Quinnster on 2025-05-12Avenir Centre - MonctonRating: 5 out of 5

This show was amazing. I saw it first in Toronto several years ago so this was a repeat performance for me. I loved it just as much the second time around. The story is so touching as it is true, and represents Atlantic Canadian culture.

  • Filled With Canadian Pride

    by Harmony B on 2025-05-12Avenir Centre - MonctonRating: 5 out of 5

We arrived 2 hours early to procure a handicapped parking spot. Doors opened promptly an hour prior to show start , which was great to be inside out of the cold. Staff were not only courteous, but kind and friendly. This was our first time attending an event at the Avenir Centre and we drove from PEI to be there. Everything was well organized. The play itself was purely first class. The acting, singing, backdrop, costume changes , and story telling were skillful and masterful. My eyes never left the stage . So much happened I didn’t want to miss a thing. Newfoundlanders represented their province and who they are as Canadians so well. It made me proud that Newfoundland showed the world what excellence in humanity looks like. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

  • Simply put, amazing!

  • Parking

by Jojo on 2025-05-12Avenir Centre - MonctonRating: 3 out of 5

The show was excellent, we really enjoyed it. But the parking in Moncton during working hours is almost non existent. This city is not built to accommodate big shows during the week.

  • Amazing play Horrendous parking

by soxford on 2025-05-11Avenir Centre - MonctonRating: 4 out of 5

Play was exceptional. The music and dance, humour and humanity of it. Looking at all sides of a tragedy that bonded people together. So well done. Sadly I missed the first 20 minutes due to parking delays at Avenir Centre. So frustrating. Very bad on Moncton

None stop entertainment from start to finish. The actors and actresses were sensational and performed exceptionally well. A thoroughly enjoyable performance which I wouldn't hesitate to see again.

  • A musical history lesson

by Bobby Sue on 2025-05-11Avenir Centre - MonctonRating: 4 out of 5

It was well done. The musical story line effectively relived the days of 911 in Gander and gave the audience insight to the amazing acts of kindness that occurred during a tragic event. The only comment was that I seen this in an arena. A theatre would have been better. The sound could have been louder. It was hard to hear especially with the Newfoundland accents.
