Come From Away on Tour

The true story of the small town that welcomed the world.

Broadway's COME FROM AWAY has won Best Musical all across North America!

The New York Times Critics' Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.

Don't miss this breathtaking new musical written by Tony® nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and helmed by this year's Tony-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley. Newsweek cheers, "It takes you to a place you never want to leave!"

On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.

  • A dream come true

The continuous movement, the versatility of the actors, the great music: all terrific. But: I was at least 20 minutes late. Please warn commuters about the snail's pace to parking - we arrived in Moncton at 1:00. Because I was from Amherst, my phone couldn't access my ticket and I had to be taken to the Box Office. All worth it!

Four of us went to see the show in Moncton NB. It was a wonderful experience and recommend everyone to go see this greatl show. The actors are very good and tell the story of Sept 11, 2001 with passion and accuracy.

  • Love love love

What can I say? The show was so darn enjoyable. I sat with a smile on my face for the whole production. The cast, the music, the laughs, the somber moments. It was perfect from start to finish. And when the musicians were introduced and they played as the venue emptied was a wonderful surprise!

Fantastic show. Acoustics weren't good. Would have been much better in Imperial Theatre's in Saint John.

  • Come From Away in Moncton

by PJ on 2025-05-11Avenir Centre - MonctonRating: 4 out of 5

I enjoyed the play but the venue was too large for a Broadway Play. Trouble hearing what they were saying from where I was sitting and could not see the actors clearly.

  • So worth waiting for

by Jama on 2025-05-11Avenir Centre - MonctonRating: 5 out of 5

From the first time I heard about this Broadway production I have wanted to see it. I didn’t get to visit it in New York City or Toronto. I was ecstatic when I heard it would be close to where we live in Moncton New Brunswick. Everything about the entire production was stellar. I was aware of some of the stories, but the production revealed so much more. I would love to see it more than once and I had waited 10 years. Thrilled to be present for their presentation here in our region. Well done crew and you left me wanting for more, which is always a great testament to any production.

  • Absolutely wonderful!

Very emotional, moved right along, no lull in the story, very well performed! Would go to see it again!

  • Perfect, with a few glitches

by Nuts! on 2025-05-10Avenir Centre - MonctonRating: 4 out of 5

Amazing story, amazing cast - but the walk-in to the Avenir Centre (Moncton) was disorganized and disturbing. There must have been a last-minute tech glitch that caused them to hold doors, which led to a massive crowd on the stairs and in the foyers for about 20 minutes. There seemed to be some sloppy followspot pick-ups, with one of the followspots shooting through the FOH lighting truss (really?) and overall, I would like to have heard the entire show a "little"louder. But all that said, the show and cast are a 10 out of 10!

I can’t believe Come from Away finally came to Moncton, NB. I had been waiting for a long time to see it. It was everything I expected and more. Sooo well done. Thank you for the great experience!!!!

  • Great performance

by Denise on 2025-05-10Avenir Centre - MonctonRating: 4 out of 5

Lots of talent in this production. However, having seen it in a smaller venue in Toronto, I feel the impact of the story is lost in such a large venue.

  • Come from away

by Suds on 2025-05-10Avenir Centre - MonctonRating: 4 out of 5

Great show, great cast. Second time we have seen the show and it did not disappoint. Would love to see it again if we could get better seats. Due to a "Ticketmaster"policy, we could not buy the closer seats as it would left one individual seat in the row. Matinee seats came on sale after we ad bought the evening show. did not want to take a monetary loss on the present seats so we went in the evening. The seating did not take away from the music and play.

We anticipated this show based on so many great reviews from friends. It was even better than expected! Such a GREAT Canadian (Maritime) story!

  • Experience spoiled by poor sound

by rebelle on 2024-10-27Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5

I knew and loved the heartwarming story but was disappointed in the presentation. Sat in the first balcony and had to strain to hear what the actors were saying or singing. This was compounded by trying to understand a regional dialect and the speed of of the spoken word. It was also hard to keep track of characters as every actor seemed to play at least two parts.

  • Riveting!

by Broadway Believer on 2024-10-19Thunder Bay Community Auditorium - Thunder BayRating: 5 out of 5

This play was so well done. I laughed, I was on the verge of tears until I laughed again. Couldn't leave my seat, even to use the washroom. After the show, I wasn't the only one to race to the washroom. When I was there I said "you know the performance is great when you will risk busting a kidney instead of leaving your seat to attend the bathroom!". Several ladies laughed and completely agreed! Awesome show and so much talent from all of the performers.
