Excellent lead guitar, hard to detect any difference from the original. 3 hours of great music (less a 20 minute intermission). Started on time. Outstanding talent. Go see them if on the road.
Comfortably Numb never disappoints. They opened the show by playing the entire The Wall album, took a well deserved break and came back with the album Wish You Were Here and a few deeper cuts from Dark Side of the Moon.
They put on a really great show - even my wife (not a PF fan) enjoyed it! We got much more music than I anticipated - they did an amazing spot-on rendition of the entire Wall back-to-back, an impressive musical tour de force. After intermission, they came back with another eight songs from Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here. The lead guitarist (who also sang) was excellent, and they had a woman singing both harmonies and taking lead vocal for some songs and/or verses. Keys, bass, drums - all were excellent. They made some good creative choices in where they deviated from "cannon" - like having the woman sing the response verses in Mother or in the Trial, or where the guitarist played an additional solo that felt like it meshed perfectly. Sound effects as the backdrop necessary for a PF cover were all there. Awesome light show - mandatory lasers and video clips from The Wall and music videos. Really had a excellent time - thank you Comfortably Numb!
This is my fourth concert in a row and there's a reason for it!
Been seeing them ever since 1993 - all parts of the show (guitars, keyboards, percussion, vocals) are flawless. Light show is spectacular as well. AK and the band (and the crew) DO IT RIGHT!!!
Fantastic venue! Small and intimate. The acoustics were great. The band was fantastic! I bought these tickets for my husband, without knowing much about the band. They did not disappoint. Great evening out!
Great Show... Great lights..Great sound...Great Music... Will definitely see them again when they come to Ottawa
What an extraordinary privilege to experience a show of this calibre at an affordable price and in an intimate venue. The musical talent of AK in voice and instrument is outstanding. The light show was perfect, making one almost feel like part of the songs. The pace was perfect. Absolutely wonderful.
An amazing show that brought me to a state of musical ecstasy! Guitar that sang to my soul, a female vocal solo so powerful it moved something deep inside the entire audience, and the best light show I've ever seen! I would definitely attend another Comfortably Numb, Canada's Pink Floyd Show.
A litttle too long , but overall a good show, The woman is incredible and kudos to the rest of the band for a great show.
a little disappointed. was expecting more of a show.
This is the second time that I've seen Comfortably Numb and they get better each time (if that's even possible)! They are a 'cover band' for Pink Floyd tunes, but their concert is better than most other non-cover bands. A show not to be missed!
Saw Comfortably Numb on Saturday night and they were top notch. Flawless musicianship, fantastic singing and an excellent light show made for a perfect Pink Floyd experience. They didn't spend a whole lot of time talking but stuck to the music and did it well. This group has amazing talent.
This was the fourth time that I've been to this show. They've always been spot on, but on this occasion, I thought they were somewhat out of form. Also, they ALWAYS start one hour later than the scheduled time. Which is kind of OK, I guess they're entitled to make some money from the bar. The sound system at the Opera House always sucks. Too much bass which is sometimes distorted and often drowns the vocals. They are one of the few tribute bands that plays a selection from some of the less known albums too.
Sacrilege! For the first 20-30 minutes of this show I felt sick. The sounds coming from the stage were making me feel physically ill. A reflection of the band. We were excited about this show, hoping to feel something good... and almost left after 30 minutes. We stayed because we could not believe that they were THAT bad. We gave them the benefit of the doubt... nerves... sound... and I do admit, they pulled together afterwards. A great set list, but only executed satisfactorily on a few songs, maybe SOYCD was the best, IMO. There were just too many things wrong with the show. No life, no energy. The sound guys didn't seem to get it together till later on either. hmmmm... wonder why? Could it be these people are just racketeers? How can these guys play 3 times in 24 hours!!!? What exactly will they have left by the 3rd show? NOTHIN. ZERO. ZILCH. Comfortably Numb: you guys should be ashamed of yourselves charging people money and showing up barely able to stand. If you did this as a free concert or for charity, pushing yourselves to play another show, OK, I could sympathise, but what you did here was play a lousy show and take peoples' money. The last Floyd show I saw was Pink Floyd Experience and those guys were far superior to CN.What I heard on Saturday night was possibly worthy of a local bar, and maybe a $5 cover. All you Floyd fans out there, there is a much better ensemble in the GTA : Floyd Factor. I've had the pleasure to listen to those guys rehearse and they do the music justice, live cuts note for note, and with feeling. Comfortably numb isn't even on the same plane of existence.
The evening show was good, but I don't think the band was excited or enthused to be there. Maybe they were tired after the matinee!! They did play some great songs, but didn't engage with the audience whatsoever. I enjoyed the laser show. It was the first time I had been to The Opera House and standing for over 2 1/2 hours is not my cup of tea!! Don't think I would go back to this venue if I had to stand again.
The band was great, once they started (about an hour late). Next time, I will buy tickets at the door - $25 instead of the $45 I paid a few months ahead of time.
As always this band always puts on a great performance of classic Floyd songs. Everything from Arnold Lane up to The Wall. The female vocals on Great Gig in the Sky are spine tingling. Very tight band, very enjoyable show.
A wonderful band, with an amazing frontman. The female singer was truly spectacular - these two carried the band all night. The singer and the female singer controlled the entire show and their performance was stellar. The bassist, drummer and male keyboardist were very good and kept up with the pace that was given. I thought the sound in the theater was excellent and they had a fabulous video and light show that were conducive to this venue - I didn't leave blinded - why do these other floyd bands think that blinding their audience or lights that just flash all night is pink floyd - what about mood etc? Comfortably Numb had it all! I also really enjoyed the interaction with the audience too, this made for an exciting night, again not just a flashy light show to hide behind. I will go again.
