Cyndi Lauper is a pop singer and activist from Queens, New York. Upon the release of her 1983 debut album, She’s So Unusual, Lauper became a pop sensation, thanks to the success of Top 5 singles including “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” “Time After Time,” “She Bop” and “All Through the Night.” Lauper also won Best New Artist at the 1985 Grammys. Her second and third albums, True Colors (1986) and A Night to Remember (1989), added more hit singles like “True Colors” and “I Drove All Night” to her oeuvre and by the end the decade, Lauper had become synonymous with the ’80s new wave movement and synthpop sound. In addition to her twelve solo albums, Lauper also wrote the music and lyrics for the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Kinky Boots, for which she became the first solo woman to ever win the Tony for Best Original Score. In the fall of 2024, the singer embarked on her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour in conjunction with her documentary film LET THE CANARY SING.

Fantastic concert. One of the best shows my wife and I have seen. Unbelievable energy and passion. Impossible not to get caught up in the excitement and good vibes.
Friday night, She Bopped on stage with an explosion of confetti on her opening night of the Farewell Girls Just Wanna Have Fun tour to a full house at the Bell Center. At 71 years old, she's still "So Unusual". It was an emotional, genuine & funny Cyndi on stage. The Montreal crowd gave her so much love & admiration for this acknowledged Grammy, Emmy & Tony award winning artist. I missed my chance to see her back in the 80's, I'm just so grateful to have fulfilled this wish along with so many others. It was a celebration & goodbye to the road touring but she vowed to continue writing music & getting involved with other projects. Her last words before she took a bow was, "Be kind & Take Care of Yourselves, I love You"❤️❤️❤️

Excellent show by Cyndi Lauper, who was in fine voice, and trotted out most of the hits , All Through the Night and Hatful of Stars being notable exceptions. She showcased her enthusiastic stage presence and ebullient personality as well ! Local opening act Reve shows promise also. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.
The band and the songs were great. The audience was engaged.

Cyndi Lauper is an icon! She's able to belt out those beautiful lyrics. Her music as well as the art that she incorporates mesmerizing. What an outstanding performance by a truly BELOVED woman. We all watched in awe as if it were 1983. Her voice was strong, powerful and absolutely as original as it has always been. I felt blessed to be there. So grateful she gave us this tour to enjoy her presence. It felt like she was giving her fans the chance to see that she is just humming along like the rest of us in this crazy world. I left inspired to do what I can to create beauty wherever and however I can. So grateful! ❤️ 🙏
