Great Concert but terrible administration of time

by Fitz Chivalry on 2023-04-15The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

First time at the Danforth Music Hall and I have to say it was nice to be in a smaller venue without the big screens which you end up viewing because you are to far away at arena concerts. Darren Hayes was great along with his band and back up singers. The only negative about the concert was the start time. The time on the ticket said 7:00 pm so I got there early at 6:00 pm only to find out it was the doors which were opening at 7:00 pm not the concert. Then once inside there was almost another 2 hour wait as the concert did not start until 8:45 pm. So I basically wasted almost 3 hours of my time waiting. Very poor communication from the Music Hall on times.

    Truly Madly Deeply

by Hot Lips Hall on 2023-04-15The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

It was hands down, the best concert I’ve ever attended. Darren Hayes gave it all and more during the show. His joy at being back on a stage, singing for his fans, was contagious. His fans went home counting the days until he tours again. I, for one, am still reeling from the experience days later, reliving the videos and singing the songs. Thank you Darren!

    Best Ever

by Destree17 on 2023-04-15The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

As a LONG time Savage Garden fan, who has followed Darren's solo career on and off, my sister and I bought tickets to this show to finally cross this off our bucket list - a chance to actually see Savage Garden songs live. I expected a solid dose of nostalgia but recognized Savage Garden happened 30 years ago and Darren is now 50 - and yet every single part of the show exceeded my expectations. Darren's vocals are simply unreal live - power, pitch, control - combined with dancing, and with incredibly powerful moments of Darren opening up about his past and his journey. The show was incredibly authentic, Darren was very down to earth and clearly grateful to be there, and I couldn't fault a single thing if I tried. Well worth the experience, and that's coming from someone who flew across the country to make this show!

    Pitch Perfect

by Krys on 2023-04-15The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Darren put on an amazing show. His time and skill as an international professional artist are very evident. For a 2 hour set he never stopped singing or dancing and his voice never faltered nor did he give up any energy from start to finish. A lot of artists do not commit to every performance this way. They either appear like they’re going through the motions or they’re not interested in being there. Darren gave 100% from start to finish and you could feel how much he wanted to be there and that he gives everything he has to every performance. I have waited to see “Savage Garden” perform since I was 12 years old and finally having it happened and somehow living up to over two decades of anticipation and expectation is a miracle.
