Hall & Oates concert was terrific ... Needed another hour to play more of their hit songs

    This concert was VERY forgettable.

by Bilnik on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

We've seen Hall and Oates and also Train at least 3 to 4 times, but never on the same venue. The night started out poorly as the ACC is too big a venue for H & O to fill. All of the 300 level was shut down and so we were relocated to the 100 level, but actually further away from the stage. Daryl Hall's voice no longer dominates. This was the last time paying money for a Hall & Oates concert. The ACC isn't a good venue for Train either. This was our 4th Train concert, but it shouldn't have been at the ACC. We saw them before at the Sony Centre, Rama and the Molson Amphitheatre. They were again very good, but couldn't get close and personal with the audience.

    Too Long....

by rzysh0 on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

I thought they sounded pretty good but it was a Tuesday night and they dragged out their songs by jamming way too long. We are there to hear the hits one after another. Bought the tickets based on the fact that the concert was supposed to start at 7:00 and it started at 8:05. Wouldn't mind if it was a Friday or Saturday. Thought Train was excellent. No interaction between Hall and Oates at all! Kind of disappointing. Maybe at least act like you appreciate each other for the fans sake.

    Disappointing

by Always29 on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Really enjoyed TRAIN. Hall and Oates on the other hand were very disappointing. The sound quality was terrible . The band over powered the singing which was very unfortunate. We stayed until the end of the concert hoping that the sound crew would make same changes but it never happened. Only positive is that our seats got upgraded to the 100 level since they didn’t sell enough tickets and therefore didn’t use the 300 level.

Hall & Oates (and Train) Amazing!

by Mrs88 on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Hall and Oates, with opener Train, lived up to my expectations! They were terrific, great songs that you can sing along to.

Daryl Halls and John Oates are Amazing still!

by Nicki19 on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

The Train and Halls and Oates Concert was amazing. I am a frequent Concert goer...I’ve been to Adele, Lady Gaga, P!NK, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, Jann Arden, Madonna, and many more...this was one of the best concerts. A word of advise, be weary of buying tickets from Groupon. They give you the worst seats but make it sound they’re giving you the best deal. They’re not.

I enjoyed the concert very much but the only thing was that the sound could have been a little bit better. Vocals were a little hard to hear sometimes with Hall and Oates.

    Disappointing

by Mishski18 on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

I bought 4 tickets for this show - 2 for myself in the 100's and 2 for friends in the 300's. (My friends didn't want to pay more for the 100 section). I kept an eye on ticket sales after I realized they weren't that great, as I was half expecting the show to be cancelled. Upon arrival to the ACC on June 5th, our friends in the 300's were moved down to the 100 section, as were all other people who were seated in the 300 sections. For starters, it's irritating to pay more money for better seats, only to have everyone else who paid less, get to enjoy the 100 section anyway. On top of that, the show wasn't as great as I would expect considering how high the ticket prices were to begin with. $75 for the cheap seats for a band that hasn't released any new music in over a decade is crazy!! Even Elton John was selling tickets in the 300's for less, and let's be honest, if anyone can get away with jacking the price up, it's him. I wouldn't be so annoyed at any of this if the show had blown me away, but it didn't. I left feeling disappointed and price gouged.

Hall and Oates with TRAIN was so good

by Kneehigh on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

A dual act couldn’t have been better. Enjoyed it all. TRAIN was a pleasant surprise because we had not seen them in concert. Pat Monaghan is engaged with his audience and a beautiful singer.

    Hall and Oates and Train

by Thalberg1 on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

To be fair, I bought these tickets because they were on sale. 40.00 for two tickets to Hall and Oates, who I had never seen in concert. I did not know who Train was. I was blown away by Train. They put on an upbeat, fun show with some great tunes. That's why I am giving this review 4 stars. Hall and Oates were disappointing. They have a catalogue of great tunes, some of which they altered, which added nothing. Then they played some stuff off a new album. Boring. Play your hits, that's why we're there. We left in the middle of their set. So, go see Train, you will love them. Cannot recommend Hall and Oates, unfortunately. One upside, the video backgrounds were incredible. I guess this technology has come of age.

    Better than expected.

Totally enjoyable even with Darryl Hall constantly reminding us that in his mind he is one of the best ever.

    Hall and Oates/Train were amazing!

by Anonymous on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Have been seeing Hall and Oates since 1982 (I think) when they came to Maple Leaf Gardens with Joan Jet and Aldo Nova. I have been to almost every one of their shows and the combination of Train with Hall and Oates made it an incredible evening. It surpassed my expectations. I love both bands and they brought out the best in eachother. The crowd was great and everyone was having a great night. Plus the fact that our seats got upgraded was just the icing on the cake! AMAZING NIGHT!!!!

Sound quality for Coldplay was fantastic. Sound quality for Hall and Oates was average at best. What happened in between? Great performance otherwise.

Hall and Oates together with Train was amazing!

by Pokey2015 on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Hall and Oates still have a wonderful harmony together. Loved how they made songs longer with incredible musical interludes. It was like watching a long version of Daryl's house. Pat Monahan from Train has a fantastic voice. The lead guitarist was fantastic.

We really enjoyed the combination of these two acts. Train is amazing and Hall & Oates still can rock!

Train was amazing! Hall and Oates...not

by Anonymous on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

I bought these tickets primarily to see Train and boy they delivered. They played a very good cover of a Led Zepplin song (holy cow it was good!) and almost brought me to tears when they honoured Tom Petty with their rendition of Free Falling. All in all just fantastic. Hall and Oates was the Hall show. I don’t know, maybe Daryl Hall is tired of performing his old hits or maybe it’s age and the voice but he sings them differently and not in a good way IMO (sorry Daryl!). There were songs they could have played but didn’t. Sound system was loud but muffled. Very disappointing to say the least. Well, at least we enjoyed Train! So in conclusion, I’d def recommend people see Train, but Hall and Oates was a HUGE disappointment and I wouldn’t recommend seeing them to a friend which saddens me greatly.

    Good and Bad

by GWMA on 2018-06-08Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Train was great!!! - high energy, good sound, great songs. Hall and Oats, not so much....sound was poor, could barely tell what song they were singing. Also, seem to just take a couple of their bigger songs turn it into a 20 minute riff..... So I would give Train 5-stars.....Hall and Oats.....2 stars.
