    2nd time worked!

by pattiblack on 2020-02-19Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I attended on Wednesday the 11th when the sound crapped out and the show was cancelled at the beginning of the second act. The cast and the poor sound guy who had to keep coming out to apologize were very professional, but I was very disappointed- I was really enjoying it. I did get a refund and bought another ticket to see it a few days later and so glad I did! It was so great with a great hopeful message. Broadway Across Canada also emailed and gave me a voucher for a free drink so that was nice. I felt bad though because the friends I was with on the Wednesday couldn't see it again.

    Powerful

by Lea on 2020-02-18Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Didn't know what to expect and have to say I was absolutely blown away. The storyline was a powerful & masterful telling of how horribly wrong a youthful struggle for recognition & acceptance can go. The cast members were passionate and believable, delivering heart-wrenching depictions of challenges of parenthood & youthful struggle to fit in, be seen and be valued. All this with a captivating soundtrack to boot! Fantastic play - see it if you can.

    Amazing!

by R. G. on 2020-02-18Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Read a quick synopsis of the show before we went. We weren’t sure what to expect, but as season ticket holders we have seen some shows we wouldn’t have bought tickets to and been blown away. I would put this show in my top 10 favourites and I never ever expected to say that.

    Emotional

by Flee on 2020-02-18Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I enjoyed the story, and the emotion displayed with credibility by the performers. Loved the stage settings. The only drawback was the young performers spoke very fast and i did not catch some of their lines in lower tones. I was sitting 2/3 of the way back and perhaps the acoustics could have been better. All in all I recommend a really enjoyable performance.

    Feedback

by C. V. on 2020-02-18Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I found the music overpowered the actors voices. It was difficult to hear them at times. The moral of the story line was a good message.

    Liked it

by MauryB on 2020-02-18Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Dear Evan Hansen was done mostly on the smart phone but the individual locales done in spot lit scenes were good when needed The story is sad but had a good ending with a message for us if you get it. Well done!

Something Different, but not for everyone!

by KevEDM on 2020-02-17Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I have to say the music was great and the story line was intriguing, but by the second act they had lost me and I just couldn't buy into the plot line. I think the hype was greater than the story, but it's worth at least a consideration. I did like the fact that they attacked the issues of bullying and suicide.

    It’s good but...

by Shyla on 2020-02-16Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Amazing show but if you want to go see it, I highly recommend that you are close to the stage I was row F on first balcony and you couldn’t see there faces which takes away from the show. I wish I was sitting way closer to the stage. Would’ve given 5 stars if I did.
