Death Cab for Cutie was formed in Bellingham, WA in 1997 and almost immediately entered the ranks of the era's definitive bands, fueled in large part by the remarkable power of co-founder, lead vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist Benjamin Gibbard's complex, often bittersweet songcraft. The band made their worldwide popular breakthrough with 2003's RIAA Platinum certified Transatlanticism, later named by NPR as one of "The Decade's 50 Most Important Recordings." Plans, their 2005 Atlantic Records debut, saw Death Cab for Cutie ascending to even greater heights, earning RIAA platinum certification and a GRAMMY® Award nomination for "Best Alternative Album" while spawning the chart-topping singles, "Soul Meets Body," "Crooked Teeth," and "I Will Follow You into the Dark," the latter of which was honored with a GRAMMY® nod for "Best Pop Performance By Duo Or Group With Vocals."

They where awesome!! SOOOO good live - they sounded amazing!!
the show was good... ra ra riot was good and so were the new pornographers... dcfc was great, nice to see a lot of fans from vancouver there!! and people please don't sing at concerts!!!
amazing concert - they were fully into the performance. nice to be able to see them in a relatively small venue.
First of all, I'm unfamiliar with any of these bands. Ra Ra Riot was amazing. The sound was decent, and the energy and song writing was excellent. The New Pornographers played great, but experienced constant sound troubles with several instruments jumping around in the mix, feedback, and a complete lack of a drum sound. Death Cab For Cutie played awesomely, and luckily the sound issues were worked out - they sounded great too. However, someone brought 20 LED panels and hardly used them. What's up with that? The light show was bland and at times distracting. The only reason I can give 4 stars is that the bands played so well!
This was the best concert I have every seen, true, that is probably because to me Death Cab is the greatest band to ever live, but still, absolutely amazing. I wish I could go again, I loved it. They played a great set, and I'm tempted to say that they were even better live then recorded. The had some good opening acts and I couldn't of enjoyed their performance more. All in all an unforgettable night!
Absolutely fantastic! Can't find the words to describe how hot this group is!
They sound awesome live!! Lots of energy! Great show!!!
I like that the coliseum le the floor just be open no chairs. And it had It's own washrooms! The sound was good. But I never saw "ra ra riot" who I also wanted to see.Ticket said show at 7pm we arrived at 7:30 and people we still arriving, no one was on stage. So they must have pushed the show up. Strange.
Loved all three of the bands, though we missed most of Ra Ra Riot as they started at 7 on the dot. The sound was pretty good but the emptiness of the venue really prevented the crowd from getting into the show. Might have been nice for the band to just open up the floor and get people on their feet (I know, I know, ticket prices and all that stuff). Loved the New Pornographers, as always. I'll probably wait till they play a smaller venue to come back again but definitely a great night.
Death Cab was beyond amazing. They sound just as good live as they do on their cd's. If you get a chance to check them out..GO!!!
Benjamin Gibbard sure has an amazing voice. Love the small venue!
