About

Def Leppard are a hard rock band from Sheffield, England and one of the best-selling music acts of all time. The group has sold over 100 million records worldwide and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019 with the current lineup of drummer Rick Allen, guitarists Vivian Campbell and Phil Collen, frontman Joe Elliott and bassist Rick Savage as well as former guitarist Pete Willis and late guitarist Steve Clark. Since forming in 1976, Def Leppard have released 12 studio albums, including their 1980 debut On Through the Night and 1996’s Slang, the first full-length effort featuring the band’s ongoing roster. Def Leppard are one of few bands to notch two diamond-certified albums, for 1983’s Pyromania and 1987’s Hysteria, which both peaked at No. 2 and No. 1 on the Billboard 200, respectively. Overall, the band have earned eight Top 10 albums led by 15 Top 40 singles such as “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “Photograph,” “Rock of Ages,” “Animal” and the 1988 Hot 100 chart-topper “Love Bites.”

  • Went more for Journey, stayed for the party!

I'm a big Journey fan so I went more for them, but Def Leppard still rocks hard! Overall a great show!

  • Def Leppard & Journey

by Beth on 2024-08-22Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

I waited many many years to see Def Leppard and Journey and it was a fantastic night! Journey's "new"singer did an awesome job! And Joe Elliott and the rest of Def Leppard did not disappoint! Only a couple of complaints and neither are really fixable. 1. The people who get up every 10 minutes to go get a drink or a snack or use the bathroom or whatever. The same people over and over. They might want to consider getting aisle seats next time so they don't disrupt everyone around them. And 2. The sound at The Rogers centre is terrible. It was my first visit there and I couldn't believe how bad the sound was (the roof was closed btw). If I had the choice I'd choose Scotiabank arena every time over The Rogers Centre. But all in all a great night and a dream come true getting to see Journey and Def Leppard. (Cheap Trick were good, too, and I actually knew more of their songs than I thought I would.) Joe Elliott promised they'd be back so hopefully they will be! And be at Scotiabank next time.

Great time, Nothing like a retro time from an era when we never got to see them the first time.

  • Great concert!

by Barb on 2024-08-18Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Getting in was a snap. Drinks were very expensive. But the three bands were amazing. We had a fantastic time. The sound was super loud not as good when it first started but got better as the night went on. I would see another concert here.

  • Rock the House!

by Mick on 2024-08-17Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Well, I was impressed! They still got it! Got to give them credit, not too many can do what they do at their age. Great for me to see them perform again, and so glad that Rick Allan is still beating the drums! they sounded great and put on an impressive show! Congratulations on 40 years of Pyromania! Keep kicking ass guys!

It was a memorable event. My wife and I have been waiting for this show. Many good past memory came back to life during the show. They were just as good has we remembered. Keep up the good work.

  • The Journey that chased a Def Leppard

by Kegan on 2024-08-14Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Concert was absolutely amazing! Been to Rogers Centre for ball games but this was my first time for a concert and it was awesome! All three bands were great live and for my second time seeing Journey live, they were even better this time around! Only thing I would have changed would be to have had them headline rather than Def Leppard but none the less still a great night! Please bring them back ASAP!

  • Def Lep and Journey

    by Rob P on 2024-08-12Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Start with the good. Seats were great for the price. Both bands played most of the tunes I wanted to hear. The bad, The sound was terrible. Don't know if it was the section we were in but the sound was pretty crappy. The security on the floor was way over zealous. Between the constant patrolling endlessly up and down the isle to the what almost seemed harassment of some of the concert goers, they put a damper on the whole experience for sure. Give the show a not bad overall.
