About

Def Leppard are a hard rock band from Sheffield, England and one of the best-selling music acts of all time. The group has sold over 100 million records worldwide and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019 with the current lineup of drummer Rick Allen, guitarists Vivian Campbell and Phil Collen, frontman Joe Elliott and bassist Rick Savage as well as former guitarist Pete Willis and late guitarist Steve Clark. Since forming in 1976, Def Leppard have released 12 studio albums, including their 1980 debut On Through the Night and 1996’s Slang, the first full-length effort featuring the band’s ongoing roster. Def Leppard are one of few bands to notch two diamond-certified albums, for 1983’s Pyromania and 1987’s Hysteria, which both peaked at No. 2 and No. 1 on the Billboard 200, respectively. Overall, the band have earned eight Top 10 albums led by 15 Top 40 singles such as “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “Photograph,” “Rock of Ages,” “Animal” and the 1988 Hot 100 chart-topper “Love Bites.”

  • DEF LEPPARD and HEART concert Aug 16, 2011

by Oscrush on 2011-08-18Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Ann Wilson of HEART looked amazing and delivered a powerful vocal performance !!! HEART won the audience with a great set of their best songs. I wish they had played for two hours as they have enough material but the ticket price of $88.00 was reasonable so I can't really complain. DEF LEPPARD rocked the entire amphitheatre with their 90 minute set of hit songs. Great performance and amazing lighting show !!! Next time, a two hour concert would be ideal and I'd be willing to pay more. Two great bands whose music lifted you to rock and roll heaven !!! Look forward to seeing DEF LEPPARD and HEART again soon.

  • Amazing! Five stars!

Before the concert, I have never heard any songs from Def Leppard, but decided to go to the concert to try it out. And yes, it was worth every penny paid! Very entertaining! I had a great time.

  • Never fail to satisfy!

by Smtwngirl on 2011-08-18Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

As always, Def Leppard never fails to satisfy. I think they feel at home here as they always return to their loyal Toronto fans. We made them proud as thousands rocked the Molson Amphitheatre. Having Heart open up was truly an added bonus, what a set of pipes! I hope they return again next year, we can do it all over again.

by CCMW on 2011-08-18Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

My daughter and I attended this concert and Def Leppard definately did not disappoint! It was my 3rd time seeing them. First time was in 83', then 06" and then here in Toronto! My daughter also loved them and has become a fan because of my love for them. From the minute they hit the stage we were on our feet rocking it out with them!!!We look forward to the next time they are here!

  • Great Night

by TracyF on 2011-08-18Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Both bands were fantastic. They rocked it out with high energy and great sound. Def Leppard still has women taking off their shirts and Ann's vocals were incredible. She even rocked us out to Led Zeppelin and The Who! The venue was fabulous and the weather co-operated. Drinks a little on the pricey side though. In the end it was a fantastic evening

by Doglady on 2011-08-18Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Amazing to have two popular bands like Heart and Def Leppard on one bill! We had seen Heart in February as well and they were just as fantastic the second time! Never saw Def Leppard before and had been just a casual fan, but, this concert turned me into a DEDICATED fan. Very talented individuals!

  • True to form

by shelz on 2011-08-18Molson Canadian Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Apparently Toronto was Def Leppard's only Canadian date on the tour and I'm so glad I got to see them. They always puts on a great show full of classic songs and are true to the originals which allows you to sing right along. Joe Elliot always seems so appreciative and humbled by the crowds that come out. And it was a good crowd too - on their feet all night.

  • Def Leppard & Heart were amazing

It was the best concert I have been to in a long time. One song after another and all my favorites. I am a new Heart fan!!!! Sound was fantastic. Wish I could have that much fun every night and plus the beer was nice and cold and our top of the hill bartenders were so much fun!

These guys, all of them, including Cheap Trick and Poison, are starting to look like they are going through the motions. They definitely don't have the voices they used to either. Unless you are a huge fan of any of them... save your money.
