About

Def Leppard are a hard rock band from Sheffield, England and one of the best-selling music acts of all time. The group has sold over 100 million records worldwide and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019 with the current lineup of drummer Rick Allen, guitarists Vivian Campbell and Phil Collen, frontman Joe Elliott and bassist Rick Savage as well as former guitarist Pete Willis and late guitarist Steve Clark. Since forming in 1976, Def Leppard have released 12 studio albums, including their 1980 debut On Through the Night and 1996’s Slang, the first full-length effort featuring the band’s ongoing roster. Def Leppard are one of few bands to notch two diamond-certified albums, for 1983’s Pyromania and 1987’s Hysteria, which both peaked at No. 2 and No. 1 on the Billboard 200, respectively. Overall, the band have earned eight Top 10 albums led by 15 Top 40 singles such as “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “Photograph,” “Rock of Ages,” “Animal” and the 1988 Hot 100 chart-topper “Love Bites.”

  • Def Leppard and Poison was great

    by mystic434 on 2009-07-26Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

I really enjoyed listening to Def Leppard and Poison. I would have enjoyed the show more if I was able to see the bands, I had some tall people infront of me and made it very hard to see the stage and the big screen.

  • Def Leppard, yeah !!!

  • Def Leppard, Poison, Cheap Trick

    by Ring1992 on 2009-07-26Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was a great concert. I never seen a back up band come out for an encore! Poison was a amazing and cheap trick was not to bad. Those two bands go the crowd ready for Def Leppard who are always great live.

  • Amazing!

by mowyourgrass on 2009-07-26Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

We arrived late......due to the Chin Picnic at the Ex happening at the same time leaving little choice for parking. Parking was great at Fort Henry, just a short walk to the Amphitheatre. As such we missed a lot of Cheap Trick, but what we did experience was great, fantastic! They should have played more. Poison is not a favourite, but they did a good job performing. Def Leppard was exceptional, the highlight was the drummer of course. After the performance we went to the "Front of the Line American Express" Lounge...the band was good there, the atmosphere relaxing just to chat about the concert and wait out the traffic jam. Can't wait for them to return.

  • Def Leppard Rocked the Amphitheatre

by DefLepfan on 2009-07-26Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I was a little hesitant; being a fan since the age of 14, I was worried that I would be disappointed and the show would ruin all the good times I had listening to their music over the years....It was AWESOME. They are hotter than ever! Just a side note, Poison was pretty good too! Brett Michaels was so kind and gracious, what a gentleman...a total contradiction to what you would see of him on TV. Cheap Trick was a great treat! Maggie

  • The boys from Sheffield ROCKED THE HOUSE!

    by TM68 on 2009-07-26Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

If you've never seen Def Leppard in concert, you won't be disappointed. Die-hard fans from the 80's and 90's can rest assured that age has not deterred these boys from rocking it out and singing their hearts out. A real good time for people of all ages.

  • DEF LEPPARd rocked Toronto as usual!!!

by Stephie on 2009-07-26Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Great show as usual. Totally killed it. Only downside it was cut short do to stupid fireworks. Other than that was totally happy. The weather was great and so was the music.

  • What a WILD NITE!!

by Kerbear on 2009-07-25Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

For my very first concert in another city, I thought it was absolutely amazing. There we six of us in our group, from a small northern community, so just getting around a big city was an experience in itself. Every person we came in contact with, whether it was the hotel staff, or the taxi drivers or just the other patrons at the concert, everyone was happy and very helpful to our little redneck group. At the concert we were able to dance ans sing all night long. People we met around us were just as happy as we were. It seemed everyone there was having the time of their lives. Each band was great, we had awesome seats and got some really great pics. The fireworks ended the nite perfectly. It couldn't have been a better vacation. I was a little disappointed to wake up Sunday morning and realize that it was all over, time to go back home. We will be booking another concert date next year. (I could do this every weekend, why wait a year?)

  • unforgettable night

by tazzz on 2009-07-25Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

3 great bands all in one night awesome show a must see

  • Cheap Trick should have played longer

by kiwichap on 2009-07-25Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Cheap Trick are one of the hardest working rock bands and they only had a 30 minute set. They deserve more. Poison played the same set as one of their live albums, and because of that it wasn't exciting. Def Leppard initially seemed to be synching, but after 3 songs they varied it up, but only did a single short encore.

  • What a show!

by Cukymnstr on 2009-07-25Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The night started out with Cheap Trick - the only thing that was bad about them was that they didn't play longer! Poison, what can I say?? I heart Bret Michaels, and he did not dissapoint!! Is it wrong that I want to audition for Rock of Love 4??? And Def Leppard just rocked the joint. It was so sad when It was over

  • Def Leppard Rocked Me!!

by Rifiki on 2009-07-25Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Do you wanna get rocked? Well go see Def Leppard! Those boys have still got the punch and the power to keep you on your feet from beginning to end. Cheap Trick kicked things off in classic style and Poison still has the performance of headliners. If you still find yourself cranking up the radio when "Pour Some Sugar On Me" hits the airwaves, then this is a show you do not want to miss!

  • Def Leppard Really Rocked

by mingming on 2009-07-25Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was my 3rd time seeing the band at the Molson Amphitheatre. Each time they seem to get better and better. This year we had the best seats...so close we felt they were truly singing to just us. The sound was amazing. They played all the hits and a few off their latest album. Security was good and rowdy drunken behaviour was not tolerated. Everyone was into it and had a lot of fun. Looking forward to next time.
