About

Def Leppard are a hard rock band from Sheffield, England and one of the best-selling music acts of all time. The group has sold over 100 million records worldwide and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019 with the current lineup of drummer Rick Allen, guitarists Vivian Campbell and Phil Collen, frontman Joe Elliott and bassist Rick Savage as well as former guitarist Pete Willis and late guitarist Steve Clark. Since forming in 1976, Def Leppard have released 12 studio albums, including their 1980 debut On Through the Night and 1996’s Slang, the first full-length effort featuring the band’s ongoing roster. Def Leppard are one of few bands to notch two diamond-certified albums, for 1983’s Pyromania and 1987’s Hysteria, which both peaked at No. 2 and No. 1 on the Billboard 200, respectively. Overall, the band have earned eight Top 10 albums led by 15 Top 40 singles such as “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” “Photograph,” “Rock of Ages,” “Animal” and the 1988 Hot 100 chart-topper “Love Bites.”

    by Arctic13 on 2009-07-25Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

  • Def Leppard with Poison and Cheap Trick

by britgirl on 2009-07-25Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The show was amazing- three great bands all in one show. Sure the songs were not new but they have stood the test of time and still sound great. I have such great memories of past concerts I have attended of each of these bands and alot of the songs remind me of specific events in my life. If these bands can evoke such emotion and memories and still get the crowds on their feet - then rock on. Def Leppard still put on a great show and I look forward to their next visit to town where once again I will be in the crowd loving every minute of the show, singing , dancing and just having one hell of a great night.

  • I've been poisoned!!

by Hellonwheels on 2009-07-25Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Poison was my favourite I enjoyed the great music they played to get the crow pumped for the grand finale. I wish I could have heard all of the Def Leppard's performance but we had to leave early to catch the last train back to the burbs!! What a bummer. I swear I felt like a teenage that was on a curfew and had to be home by midnight. This city is so lame, Thank God for Molson and the amphitheatre that makes life so much better. Love ya!!

by nicrdh on 2009-07-25Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

All the bands were great, had good seats so could really enjoy the concert. Great venue for a show! Brought back memories of the 80's ahhhhh. Bret had lots of energy...

  • Lep/Trick and Poison...AWESOME

by tinytot on 2009-07-25Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Cheap Trick sounded exactly like they did in the '80's and had everyone rocking like it was the '80's. It was good to see a band like that back in the concert scene and have such an overpowering effect. Poison played high energy like they do in their concerts and rocked out like usual. Front man Bret Michaels...sexy as ever! Def Lepard was phenominal. They are so high energy and make everyone Rock On! If these three bands toured together again, i would definately be there.

On July 4th 2009, The Molson Amp. Theatre featured Cheap trick, Poison and DEF LEPPARD! Posion sounds amazing. But Def Leppard (after touring for 30) years Still has it "Going on" and Still Going Strong! It was one of the most amazing sounding concerts I have been too in a long time. Pefect type of bands and music for a long weekend in the summer. All three bands played all of their hits and there were very few slow spots,if any, the whole evening.we had great seats ,section 202 row A, and the crowd was really into. good times were had by all.
