great concert, love the new members they were fantastic. I loved it when he had the symphony orchestra too, hope he does it again. Dennis Deyoung is a class act, loved the show.
Dennis DeYoung at Massey Hall was a perfect setting. His voice is perfect for the Hall. It was great to hear the music of Styx again. Awesome show!!!
I was prepared for a little less energetic evening given Dennis' age, however Dennis put on a fantastic show, full of energy. He is a true showman, and brings it every time. His band is energetic, interested, and very tight. The two guitarists were also excellent showmen. The one guitarist was responsible for singing Tommy Shaw's three most well known songs and did these as well as Tommy Shaw did in his heyday. Dennis' voice was in fine form, reaching all the notes that the songs demanded. It felt like 1983. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable evening that brought back the late seventies and early eighties in all their glory.
UNBELIEVABLE. AT 63 HE SOUNDS AS GOOD AS EVER, AND AN AWESOME STAGE PRESENCE. A MUST SEE FOR ANY STYX FAN!
He performed every song the crowd wanted to here-- he still has an incredible vocal range - even at 63
The show was the first of this kind for DDY.It was a good show but he was sick the week before so he didn't practice very much before the show. I've seen him 20 times in the last 2½ years and this show was lacking a little something. Went the evening after at another identical show, and it was already much better.
