About

Last year, Denzel Curry dropped one of the most anticipated albums of the year, Melt My Eyez See Your Future. Featuring the single "Walkin" which arrived with an epic Sci-Fi Western visual directed by Adrian Villagomez seeing Denzel trekking across a desert planet before a cinematic face-off with his antagonist, John Wayne. The Kal Banx-produced song steadily builds into one of the most dynamic rap performances from Curry to-date, foreshadowing what is to come from Melt My Eyez See Your Future.

The end of 2021 marked the end of an era - the ending of Denzel's characters and alter egos. Describing his new album Melt My Eyez See Your Future, he says: “I like traditional hip hop, I like drum and bass, I like trap, I like poetry, so a lot of that is going to be interwoven in this album including jazz and a lot of genres that I came up on as a kid and just being in my parents’ house. This album is made up of everything that I couldn't give you on TA13OO or Imperial because I was going through depression anger issues.” Now Denzel is set to embark on his Australia and New Zealand tour. These shows will be ones not to miss.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Carol City, FL-born Denzel Curry started writing poetry in elementary school before moving on to rapping in the sixth grade. He cut his teeth participating in rap battles at the local Boys & Girls Club, and by the time he was in high school he was already working on his debut album. Following a trio of mixtapes released in the early '10s, Curry put the finishing touches on his long-incubated full-length debut, 2013's Nostalgia 64. The record was an underground hit, earning praise from critics and drawing Curry out for extensive touring. He followed up in 2015 with the double EP 32 Zel/Planet Shrooms, and in 2016 he dropped his highly anticipated sophomore LP Imperial. The album featured guest appearances from big guns like Rick Ross and Joey Badass, cementing Curry's place among hip hop's top brass and drumming up major excitement for his next round on the road.
