  • Disney was great

by Florida on 2011-01-03Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

What can be said about Disney that hasn't already been said. Everything that they do is first class all the way and Disney On Ice was no different. Fantastic show and already looking forward to next year, God willing. We had great seats. The Security person in our section was fantastic, getting children involved. Even the cleaning lady was helping out with the excitment. Great show.

  • Disney on Ice worth seeing

Went my five year old son. He joined in dancing and singing with the songs. Very well done!

  • Excellent family show!

I really loved this show! I took my younger sister who is going to be 9 yrs old in a couple weeks. She was totally captivated for the first half... however, her attention waned a bit during the second half but I think it's just because of her age. The younger kids seemed very into it the whole way through. I'd recommend this show especially for kids aged 3 to 7. The props were great and the skating was awesome! Beware of the souvenir stands though -- sooo overpriced! Get stuff from Toys'R'Us beforehand or walk with a ton of cash because Disney's marketing strategies will surely woo your little ones over quickly!!!

to be honest, this is the worst Disney on Ice I've ever seen.

  • not worth my money

by RealMomofarealsweety on 2011-01-02Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 1 out of 5

The performers were unenthusiastic. It seemed to me like they didn't want to be performing. They were half heartedly raising their arms, lack-lustre kicking. . .and hardly staying in formation. My three year-old was bored and wanted to leave and my husband and I were willing to walk out with 35 minutes to go. Mickey and Minnie's Magical Journey is a misnomer, too. Mickey and MInnie were the narrators and had little time on the ice save for a short dialogue between long and, in my view, boring legs of this "journey." My daughter who is a major Mickey fan was terribly disappointed.

  • Mickey & Minnie's Magical Journey was good but..

I took my 2 and 4 year old kids to see the Mickey and Minnie's Magical Journey and they enjoyed it. I thought this production tried very hard to please both boys and girls in the audience. We went to last year's production of all the Disney princesses and the boys were none too pleased with it. I would still take my kids to a Disney production because it usually does not dissapoint. I think the upcoming Toy Story production will get a better reception from the kids.

  • Disney on Ice is Magic

This was my granddaughter's first live performance of any kind. Her jaw dropped in wonder the instant the spotlights came on and she sat, mesmerized until the end. It was wonderful for me to be able to take her. The perfect outing for a three-year-old, especially since she already is familiar with all the characters and was waving "hello" to each as they came onstage. If you're looking for a memorable outing with any child in your life, this is a must.

Not as great as other Disney shows we have seen. Would have preferred more disney characters vs generic skaters like monkeys and fish.

  • Disney on Ice Magical Adventure

by efrosini on 2011-01-02Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Great show! However I was disappointed with the seating. There were so many seats in front of us that were not bought (I assume because of the ticket price difference) After the intermission, everyone moved foward from the back and all those people had better seats than my family! They need to reconsider how much they charge and maybe there would be more people.

  • magical journey now what we expected

    by burlingtonmom4 on 2011-01-02Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

I made the mistake of thinking that Mickey and Minnie would be the main characters in the show, however they were not a big feature. The magical journey was really about The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Lilo and Stitch and Peter Pan. There were several parts that were too scary for my 4 year old daughter, such as the underwater witch Ursula, the aliens from Lilo and Stitch and Captain Hook. Lilo and stitch was particularily scary and not that entertaining...a good time to go to the washroom. The costumes were beautiful and some of the skating was also wonderful, but if you have a timid child you may find you are spending much of your time comforting them. Also bring lots of extra cash...popcorn $10, snow cone $15 and twirly tinkerbell toy $22. I wanted to take my daughter to a special event at Christmas but this was not what I expected.

  • My kids loved Disney on Ice! Most of it! :)

by blueswimmer on 2011-01-01Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Disney on Ice was great, for the most part. Was disappointed with Lilo and Stitch (which brought the energy of the show down), but the rest of the show was FANTASTIC. I take my kids every year and it definetly was worth it!

Needs to be improved. Some parts could be better Last scene is monotone,

  • Great for kids

by sweetmemories on 2011-01-01Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

My daughter really enjoyed this production though we sat too far away to really see the ice skaters up close. I liked it though the production itself was not nearly as good as ones I've seen in Disney World - the fact that there were a lot of empty seats also didn't seem to help with the atmosphere. The skaters are average - a few jumps here and there - more theatrical stuff than any thing spectacular (skating wise). I liked how they went through many of the songs from the Disney movies. Overall, considering the reasonable cost of the tickets (I bought them on discount), this was a good afternoon event for my 5 year old. I would recommend it to people who have kids.

Great show....kept my 4 year old granddaughter completely entralled. Our seats were very good, overall excellent performance and a great way to spend an afternoon.
