I was an enjoyable show, but not as “fulfilling”, as I had hoped

  • Seat obstruction

by Todd on 2025-02-14Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

I would say for the most part the experience was quite good. However, upon taking my seat I realized the half of the video screen was blocked by a large speaker set. So the videos that were played on it were not visible. It might have been nice if a seat obstruction was noted during the seat selection process. However, it did not matter too much because the screen was only in use for a few minutes. I was expecting that maybe there would have been a camera on Jordan and have that projected on the screen, because he looked very small on the stage. Apart from that it was a thought provoking evening.

  • Excellent way to spend an evening!

by ghitta on 2025-02-13Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

I'm not normally a fan of speaking events but Dr. Peterson is so engaging and well spoken. The two plus hours he was on stage went by so quickly. I really wanted to hear more! It's so refreshing to hear somebody speak real truth and common sense without seeming to fear the backlash which is guaranteed to come. Dr. Peterson's message was thought provoking and eye opening. A must hear for all Canadians.

Very challenging and moving. Self responsibility, standing in our values and sacredness of the adventure. I have so much to work on, but am excited for times ahead.

  • A sensible voice in Canada

by Charlie on 2025-02-13Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

I've been following Dr. Peterson over the last two years, he has shared a wealth of wisdom and critical thinking over youtube and his podcast. The fact that he tirelessly disseminates his deep understanding of the psychology of man is a boon to everyone who has an open mind and a wish to understand the human condition and the sense of individual responsibility during these tumultuous times.

  • Fantastic. Totally agree with Dr Pettersen

by Razor on 2025-02-13Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Wpg has a lot work to make our experience getting to the venue safer! Not a safe trek from the parkade. Dr Pettersen didn’t miss a beat. Longer would’ve been great though. Great experience. Hope to see him again.

  • Things to Ponder

by Laura on 2025-02-13Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Dr. Peterson is as sharp as ever—even when he’s meandering across the whole sprawling landscape of the biblical corpus—as he pieces together wisdom for us today. In our particular lecture, he deftly weaved multiple narratives together to discuss freedom of speech, showing how the freedom to speak is not meant to be license to say whatever you want (though it’s also that). More correctly, freedom of speech is the freedom to speak the truth, which is sacred ground, the domain of God, and which should not be turned over to the purview of governments. Dr. Peterson is at once funny and devastating—and you leave feeling both chagrined and encouraged.

  • A night of spectacular contemplation.

    by J. on 2025-02-13Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

I would never attend a Taylor Swift or a Beyonce concert. Meaningless music. But, a lecture by the current 'Carl Jung' aka Dr. Jordan B. Peterson? Yes please! One of the most meaningful experiences and events of my life! Transformative! I am still in deep contemplation regarding a lot of the Biblical stories he told. And I am feeling very challenged as to our current Canadian political landscape and my own desire to get involved. A night of spectacular story telling and deep contemplation toward the current Canadian context in 2025!

  • Surpassed expectations

by wjn on 2024-10-12Abbotsford Centre - AbbotsfordRating: 5 out of 5

I expected a stimulating high-level academic lecture. Dr Jordan Peterson delivered that - and so much more. Dr Jordan Peterson and his wife Tammy Peterson spoke from their expertise, their training, and their experiences of life. They spoke from their hearts about family, faith, marriage, and difficulties during Tammy's cancer, and Dr Jordan's subsequent mental and physical health decline - and their commitment to each other.

Excellent show - the dancing bit was inspired - but electronic ticket transfers did not work. No fun starting a long-anticipated event in an irritated frame of mind!

Even your electric car comes from energy that man produces from natural resources. He expressed that we all need a purpose to live in life and mentioned some ways to look for your purpose. He looks at life as being meaningful for everyone. Suggests getting involved with society to keep values that matter for a you.

Only wish I went to this event if I was there. I would truly appreciate it. I wanted to go so bad but I didn't get the opportunity. I hope I do in the very near future. Thank you. Jordan, Peterson, you truly are a helpful human being to mankind. We need to hear your wisdom and your words. Cause most people don't know how to. Articulate end how to help others that are living so ignorant.
