AMAZING!!! LOVED IT WHEN THEY SUNG THEIR OLD SONGS..
Had an incredible evening!! As soon as the opening band (cannot remember their name) came out, I felt like I was brought back in a time warp to 1984!! I was a teenager all over again!! Can't wait for their return!!
Amazing as usual - they keep getting better and better.
The show was unbelievable! I would like to go again!
Great to hear all the old stuff. New songs a little boring.
Ok, so it may be my third time seeing Duran Duran as an adult, but I always feel like a kid again when they are up there, doing their thing. They know their audience and they give it everything they've got every time. The crowd is up dancing all night and the experience is one of pure unadulterated fun. And btw, the guys all still look fantastic too!
Duran Duran gets better with age! Simon's voice was amazing and the band was brilliant. What a way to celebrate a birthday Simon! Toronto loves Duran Duran!
Excellent show - Ordinary world was the hi-light for me - really a great rendition!
If you can get past the fact that Duran Duran had most of their hits in the 1980s and early 1990s, you would see that this band can actually play! They did most of their hits but I was disappointed they didn't play Girls on Film. Instead of playing to the lower bowl which most bands do when they know they won't fill the entire arena, Duran Duran cut off one end of the Air Canada Centre and as Simon Le Bon pointed out, it was filled right to the very top. This made the concert more intimate. It was Simon's birthday and he needed no encouragement to dunk his own face into a birthday cake that was brought out on stage. They still have their fans and the two ladies in the group (one percussionist and one vocalist) added to the line up. You have to hand it to Duran Duran for coming back in 2011 and delivering their hits with the kind energy that kept the songs fresh.
The concert was awesome! Duran Duran really rocked the ACC!!
2 hour set was a blend of new songs (7 from All You Need Is Now) and classic songs. Sound was a bit muted in the first half of the show, but it seemed to improve in the back half of the show. Concert was made extra special since it was Simon Le Bon's birthday and the audience sang happy birthday to him.
The concert blew me away! Even though our seats were not as close as I would have liked, the energy was infectious. Duran Duran got us out of our seats and jumping and dancing and singing along. It was fantastic. I would love to be able to see them again soon.
Duran Duran were amazing again! They keep getting better. Wish the concert was a little bit longer as I would have loved to hear more!
THe band performed very well considering these hits are nearly 30 years old. Nice visual effects
They played a wonderful assortment of hits as well as songs from their new album, which is EXCELLENT. (It's a shame today's radio format has no means of including these in their playing rotation... the pathetic state of radio today is beyond description). Only glaring omission was "Girls on Film". But hearing all their big hits and on the night of Simon's birthday was special. They really put on a great show and Simon's pipes are sure up to the task - he hasn't lost anything. The acoustics of the Air Canada Centre however, were pathetic. I had seats up high and to the side, which they should never sell again to concert goers. The sound was echo-ey and muffled. So muffled I couldn't hear the actual words to the song intros. They sounded like they were playing in a tunnel. I could tell by the crowd's reactions that those in direct line with the stage heard everything just fine including spoken words. Anyone to the side was out of luck. Next time I'll get better seats. But ACC should really take a re-look at the setup for such a show.
Disappointed they did not play one of their best songs "girls on film"
I'll give it a solid "worth seeing but don't expect much".... They sounded great, too much new stuff and their hearts didn't seem into the old stuff. The visual show was less than dull...if you go, get the cheap seats...
Great concert...bring back the 80's! Nice to see Nick Rhode's son in the band.
With the use of only 1/4 of the ACC everyone had a great seat. Duran Duran engaged the audience on several occaisons even had some fans participate. The set list was an even mix of old and new songs which satisfied the older fans and die hard Duranies. Considering most of the band mate's are in thier 50s, performance was as energetic as 1984 when they played Maple Leaf Gardens. Would definitely attend thier next performance in Ontario, Canada.
