An excellent all-round show. Stage setup was fantastic, and Eddie Izzard was superb!

About
Eddie Izzard is a British comedian and actor born in Aden, Yemen. The genderfluid performer got her start in sketch comedy and street performance before launching her stand-up comedy career. Known for her rambling, stream-of-consciousness monologue style and self-referencing pantomime, Izzard won two Primetime Emmys for her 2000 special Dress to Kill. The comedian’s film and TV credits include Ocean’s Twelve (2004), Ocean’s Thirteen (2007), The Riches (2007), Valkyrie (2008), Cars 2 (2011), and The LEGO Batman Movie (2017). Izzard also earned a Tony nomination for the Broadway revival of A Day in the Death of Joe Egg. In 2024, she premiered her one-person adaptation of Hamlet, which will transfer to Chicago and London following its triple-extended run in New York City.

was very hard to hear and understand. only got half of the jokes, too much mumbling. not worth the $ 100.xx a ticket i saw his video standup several years ago and thought it was terrific. This was a disappointment.
Eddie Izzard's Streep is clever and hilarious
by nec05 on 2010-05-18Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5The show started with 20 minutes of Eddie talking about everything that came to his mind. It was not part of the show, just him improvising and making everyone laugh. That's how good he is. After that his routine started and...well, you have to go and see him.
Eddie was as witty as ever!
by Darwin on 2010-05-18Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5Went to see Eddie perform in Edmonton (where he was in boy mode) and he absolutely owned the stage and had the audience in stitches. His wit was fairly on the itellectual side but that's what we love about him. A great show and very enjoyable evening. Come back soon Eddie.
Eddie Izzard is my Hero!
by Glacial on 2010-05-18Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5Eddie Izzard is a comic genius. His topics and sense of comedic timing has landed him first on my list of favorite comedians (and preformers in general). I've been a fan of his work for a long time, and he exceeded my expectations yet again. He had a surprisingly large fan base in edmonton! I only wish I could meet him some day!
My ribs still hurt
by JasmineShinga on 2010-05-18Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5Ridiculously funny, right through to the extra 1/2 hour of raptors and God. Loved it!
Eddie was brilliant
by lennox on 2010-05-18Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5To hell with what you learned in history! Eddie can give you a lesson you'll never forget. He's one of the sharpest minds in comedy today and has logical reasons for never using Latin again.
good, not great
by Lunarella on 2010-05-18Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5I expected a bit more edginess-amusing, not constantly funny. For an atheist, too many bible stories!
Lots of Fun!
by LGHunter on 2010-05-18Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5He's a very funny guy. I was laughing hysterically all through it! While some of the jokes fell flat, due to cultural differences, he took it all in stride. My only complaint was the flashing lights; I can't handle them, and had to close my eyes. I'd gladly go and see him again, either here in Edmonton, or in England!

Wonderful! Izzard is such an engaging performer, wandering on and off the script throughout the whole course of the show. Although Stripped doesn't have some of his best bits - like the World War Two section - hardcore fans will not be disappointed by this show!

could not understand him at times, he needed to speak louder and more clearly.
Eddie Izzard surprisingly missable
by GingerNinja on 2010-05-16Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 2 out of 5Sadly not classic Eddie, I laughed in a few places but sadly the topics just didn't work for me not through an offence of my sensibilities I was just plain uninterested. Stick to the Jam Trousers, Jeff Vader and Cake or Death Eddie leave the theory of evolution and existence of God well alone.
Amazing-est show ever!
by dannyboy12 on 2010-05-16Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5With fourth-row seats and a 2.5-hour show, this was totally worth the trip from another province! Hilarious and packed with great mimes. I was hurting and badly had to pee by the end. I'll wear my new hoodie with pride! "Cake or death?!?"
Eddie Izzard-Stripped
by Nightwoman on 2010-05-15Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5Eddie was amazing. Funny, hillarious and in touch with the world. He is so heat of the moment, know just what to say, and what not to say!
Izzard - Stripped!
by BrookeL on 2010-05-15Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 3 out of 5Very funny and entertaining -- shame the mic/audio wasn't working properly!
Eddie Izzard's eloquent, hilarious history lesson
by dnaworks on 2010-05-15Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5This was, to be blunt, the funniest three hours of my life. Eddie came out not in full drag but in tasteful eye shadow and 'lipstick that [he] found backstage' and the rest was ... well, history. Specifically, a lesson in naming of Canadian (and other) cities and a recap of the evolution of humanity that would have done Richard Dawkins proud. This was worth every penny of the ticket and a great deal beside. If you have a chance to see him live, do so - you will not regret it for a single second.
