The game was a close game with lots of action. I did pour rain but it wasn't that bad.
This game was probably the worst game that I have ever been to!!! The weather sucked and the score was very low. Both teams were sloppy and it just wasn't a fun game to watch!
I enjoyed the time we got to watch live football(Eskimo's season opener), but ended up being a wet and chilly evening. Overall I had a good time and would do it again, without the rain hopefully.
While the play on the field was very interesting - the fact that it rained most of the evening was not enjoyable. This was my first football game and I totally enjoyed the game, the fans, the beer and the hotdogs. It was a great evening and we will go again, only hopefully on a drier evening, ha-ha! It was fun to listen to all the experts in the seats!
I love the experiance you get from sitting outside watching the game. taking in the fresh air and enjoying a cold beer. the only thing i didnt like was all the kids rushing the front row during the soft football tosses.
The seats could not have been better unless we were on the field, the weather was terrific, and the game had some exciting moments. To top that, the team we were cheering for won. All and all a perfect night and great entertainment.
I was glad to go to a game, as it has been years. The Eskimos put on a great show, besides their play on the field. Moss should have come in earlier, as even I was reading Ray's pass out into the flat to the wide side, after the first five or six times it was run. The cheerleaders and half time show, including the vintage cars were great. Thanks for a good time.
This is a review from true blue, genuine Eskimo's. We are Inuvialuit (aka Eskimos) from Inuvik, N.W.T. in the Western Arctic of the Northwest Territories. This is the first time we went to an Edmonton Eskimo's game and we really enjoyed it. The stadium is incredible! We had good seats and was able to see all of the activities on the field. The crowd was also great eventhough "our" team lost. They are still winners as a team.
This was the first time I have used online purchasing with Ticket master. The communication and recieving the tickets was very professional. The game was perfect if your a Lion's fan but over all a great birthday gift for my father who turned 71 this year. I wish I lived closer to the event as the drive to Edmonton was 450kms each way. Thank you for haveing this service to enjoy a great time with my dad and his friends and more memories.
The game was enjoyable, this was my first live game in edmonton, liked the set up, the score, the weather.
Eskimos games are always a blast. They do a great job of keeping the show going no matter what, whether it is the cheerleaders or some silly sing along, the entertainment just keeps going. Great all ages fun. Too bad they didn't win.
The weather was wonderful. How better to spend a summer evening than watching our own EE. Fans were very enthusiastic. The only disappointment were the drunks who were hassling us as we left. Where was security? Oh, and they were BC Lions fans.
The game started off with a safety for BC Lions and we then thought we were in trouble but they came back with two touchdowns so the score was respectful at half time but that's when things fell apart. We don't seem to be able to hold on to the ball. Is it the way in which Ricky Ray throws? Also the penaltys cost us. But when Jason Moss entered the field everyone cheered and the game got going again. A little to late but overall we always enjoy going to the games and the evening was great for football.
On June 17th, the Riders versed the Eskimo's was the game to be there! Not only was the Commonwealth almost full ( keeping in mind that this is a exhibition game) , but the football players, really played hard. The team spirit was high , as the crowd was elated with each time a touch down occured or a good hit. I noticed that the row that I was in, everyone was rooting for Saskatchewan, and a few eskie's fans, but to no avil , the team players in our stands ended up rooting for both teams. Now is that not good spirit!!! The half time show was remarkable with cheerleaders from around the Edmonton area , ranging in from age 3 to 80! A favourable 15 minute show ! Way a go Edmonton!!
I love going to all the football games but the Eskie/Rider games are special because of the crowd. A sea of Green n Gold and Green n White!
Our seats were great at centre field in the bottom section.
This game was very awesome. It looked like Edmonton was going to be good this year by there showing...But I wasnt let down once the regular season started and SASK is number 1. Go watch a Esk - Sask game and you will be surprised at how many green and white you see!! AWESOME
Game was great - very entertaining. Unfortunately, once again the food service was horrific! We stood in line for 10 minutes (well before the game) to order a bratwurst (staff member asked us what a bratburst was - the same bratwurst sample being promoted out front of the the Colliseum) - after unwrapping and paying for the bratwurst we received a regular hot dog. Then at 2 minutes before half-time went down to discover they were out of coffee! This was the least of our issues, knowing that we arrived 30 minutes prior to the game only to discover that the women's washroom was not only filthy, but was already out of hand towels and soap! An experience that left us not wishing to go back to an Edmonton game!
We cheer for Saskatchewan, and unfortunately we lost..... and bad!! Hopefully the game in September will be better!
The money spent on attending the recent pre-season football game between the Edmonton Eskimos and the Saskatchewan Roughriders would have been better spent on supporting high school football. Looks like another dull season of football for the loyal Edmonton fans.
