    The Best Game

    by davgiles40 on 2011-03-02Rexall Place - Edmonton

This was a spur of the moment thing for my doughtier and I to do for a fun night. Neither of us had been to a Oil King game before and I have to say we both enjoyed ourselves very much. Its was as far as I am concerned better than a NHL game. We are planning another game soon and are hoping they do as good as they did the night we seen them.

    Fast game

by Goldenbear on 2011-03-02Rexall Place - Edmonton

The Oilkings were on top of the Hitmen from the drop of the puck and it showed on the score board and end of the first period. 2-0 lead and 15 -1 shots on goal. Great start and end to a night of hockey.

The game was not what we thought it would be. Not very good hockey, and way too many small children for our liking. We left after the first period.

    Great time

by AlbertanMom on 2011-01-04Rexall Place - Edmonton

It is a great time at an Oil Kings game. The energy and enthusiasm are awesome. They have more than just hockey going on. They had games, give-aways, draws and more. At the intermissions, they had a band play, figure skaters perform, games, puck toss and more. It is a great thing to take the family too, very family friendly.

    Hockey Game

by papafana on 2010-12-21Rexall Place - Edmonton

It was a very exciting game as being from Chilliwack the Bruins had a shutout with a 1-0 score and also it was their Teddy Bear toss, that was a very successful event. The refereeing was poor as I believe they wanted Edmonton to score for the teddy bear toss. The service you gave was excellent. Thankyou

I took my boy to see the game, i have been to many oilers games, but 1st time to an oil kings game & cant see any reason to pay big dollars to watch guys play for big dollars weather they put out or not will probably not waste any more money on the oilers. The oil kings play excellant hockey and play hard i have been missing out far to long will probably get season tickets i liked so much.

    Warriors Had a Great Time

by HeiferTester on 2010-12-04Rexall Place - Edmonton

We attended because my son's idol, Ryan Button, fourth round draft pick for the Boston Bruins, was in town with the PA Raiders. The Edmonton native didn't disappoint. He got two assists and jumped the rope barrier after the game for a photo op with my son and his two teammates from the St Albert Warriors. The boys' enthusiasm was captured at least four times on the jumbo-tron and will remain in the high-lite reel of my life. For half the price of a mediocre regular-season Oiler's ticket, I consider this a big bargain for me and the boys.

Oil Kings take a shutout on Red Deer 3-0

    by FlamesFanMike075 on 2010-11-22Rexall Place - Edmonton

The game was pretty steady until the 5:00 mark in the 1st period as Red Deer took two penalties within 1:04, handing 2-man-adv. powerplay to the Oil Kings. Edmonton reaps on the powerplay as #18 Michael St. Croix gets his 11th goal of the season at the 7:51 mark. 40 secs later another goal by #11 Dylan Wruck. This gave the Oil Kings the momentum needed in order to shutout the Rebels by a score of 3-0. After a scoreless 2nd, Wruck picks his 2nd of the game at 11:00. Oil Kings' netminder #31 Laurent Brossoit picks up his 1st shutout, stopping all 32 shots. Edmonton Oil Kings (8-13-0-1) played a solid game and beat the Red Deer Rebels (15-7-1-1) 3-0. The seats in ATB Financial Zone were great for being the cheapest ones. The energy level at this Saturday night game could have been much higher, considering their home team was actually beating Red Deer. The Oil Kings really put on a good show, and I think the fans could've been a lot more boisterous.

Rebels Spoil Oil Kings Home Opener

    by FlamesFanMike075 on 2010-09-26Rexall Place - Edmonton

It was a great show put on by the Red Deer Rebels. This team has seen it all in the WHL. From Memorial Cup Championship in 2001 to being eliminated from the playoff charts in 2007-08, the Red Deer Rebels have never given up on their future to the NHL. The Rebels seemed to have regained their momentum now with a 4-1 win over the Edmonton Oil Kings. It will be interesting to watch how this team does this season. Our team from 2001 has returned, and ready to go for the Cup once again!

    The Oil Kings were cheated!

    by Ness101 on 2010-03-05Rexall Place - Edmonton

We thought this game was evenly matched and were very pleased when they came back from being 3-1 down. Unfortunately they lost on a play off, as they did on the previous game we saw. The atmosphere was excellent. We wnet with 3 young children and they were never bored, always something going on. My brother was over from the UK and he thoroughly enjoyed it to the extent he's gone home laden with Oilers souverniers!

    OIL KINGS FEB 26, 2010

by GrammaBev on 2010-03-01Rexall Place - Edmonton

Grandpa and Gramma took the two grandsons, age 7 and 11, to watch our very first Edmonton Oil Kings game. Great seats. Great price per seat. Great parking fee compared to watching the Edmonton Oilers. Loved the Oil King Mascot. Loved the chatty camera crew roaming the whole seating area, to chat with young fans. The usherettes were so friendly as well. We will definately be planning to come back for more games. Thanks so much. We told all our friends what an amazing time we had with the grandsons. Gramma

Good turnout attibuted to Oiler Superstar!!!

    by Maddog26 on 2010-02-16Rexall Place - Edmonton

The fans didn't come out to see the Oil Kings have a good game. They came to see Jordan Eberle have a great game. This is the kid who will turn hockey around in this town for both the Oil Kings and the Oilers. I'm already excited about next season. Both clubs are struggling at both ends of the ice and its time to bring in some new blood. I will always support our Edmonton teams, win or lose. But I can feel the tides changing and we will have a contender at both levels in the near future.

    Great Family Fun

by Vinnien on 2010-02-01Rexall Place - Edmonton

We really enjoyed the Oil Kings game on Sunday. The 5 o'clock start time was great. Not too late getting home. Parking was accessible. The event itself was excellent. There is lots of extra entertainment going on between periods and the pregame warm up was fun. It was a real family atmosphere. The hockey was great to watch. This was an affordable and family oriented event. I would definately go again.
