Over the course of his more than 50-year career, guitar legend Eric Clapton has covered an immense amount of ground. Along with dozens of album releases and concerts worldwide, he’s received three Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions — one for his solo career and two more as a member of both Cream and the Yardbirds. He’s also earned an unofficial spot high on the list of best rock guitarists of all time.
Though his eponymous solo debut surfaced in 1970, Clapton’s solo career took off in the mid-‘70s with “461 Ocean Boulevard” and its now-ubiquitous single, “I Shot the Sheriff.” The English performer has since released 19 more solo sets, most recently “Old Sock.” That 13-track collection features mostly covers, as well as guest appearances by several established musicians, including J.J. Cale, Paul McCartney, Chaka Khan and Steve Winwood.
Clapton’s numerous tours - both alone and with his many projects — have canvased the globe, with tickets selling out regularly at iconic venues like London’s Royal Albert Hall and New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

Can't be dissatisfied to see a great legend, however I really would've liked to have heard more the big songs from cream and other 70s Clapton. No sunshine, white room, after midnight and rather heard the rocked Layla over unplugged.
Amazing performance by EC, does not feel like he is 78. His performance was at par with his shows when he was 30-40 years younger. He was fired up and extremely sharp in his playing as well singing. I last saw EC in 2001 and that performance was mediocre and I did not come with lots of expectations as he is much older now then when I saw him last time. But he very pleasantly , surprised us with a superb and an amazing performance. The band was amazing too. Nathan east, Sonny Emory, Chris Stainton , Katie Kissoon , Andy Fairwheather Low, Paul Carrack and Sharon White were all great and everyone was just impressive as EC. The only thing that could be better is the playlist. Also I really wish if he does the electric Layla instead of the acoustic version. Layla is one song that just does not sound that good as acoustic. Overall 10/10 for Eric and his band.
Excellent show!! Wonderful music with a top notch band. Eric Clapton is a master of his craft.
I especially appreciated that Eric honoured his friend Robbie Robertson by starting the show with two of Robbie’s songs … Robbie’s talent will be greatly missed. I also really appreciated the acoustic session but for sure the entire gig was truly outstanding … thanks for making the trip to Toronto Eric!
Best concert I’ve ever seen. I’ve been a fan of Eric Clapton forever and this concert just strengthened my feelings of admiration and respect.
Good but not great. The performance was a bit laid back and could have been more up-beat.
Очень все понравилось,незабываемые впечатления!!!Живая музыка и отличная атмосфера
Excellent concert. Clapton was at his best. He doesn't do much talking. His music does all the talking. His band was outstanding. The sound system needs improvement. It was wonderful to see him perform at 78!! The opening act, Jimmie Vaughn, was very good also.
Eric Clapton was absolutely outstanding - him and his band just brought it! Absolutely would have loved this show had it not been for the SWEATIEST venue. Everyone in my section kept getting up to go to the concourse to get air - the air was HOT and no ventilation. I asked about it and they told me they turned the air off in the venue and that's just how it was.
I was disappointed with the Eric Clapton concert. This was my first time seeing him in concert and unfortunately, I think his age is showing. As I recall he didn't greet the crowd or introduce his fellow musicians/backup singers. He played some of his hits but they seemed low energy. He played one encore and then bowed to the audience with his team and left. The crowd never really got whipped up.
Decent show but predictable. Unlike the recent Beck show which wowed me with newness and surprise Eric puts on a journeyman's show. Always competent. Wished he continued to evolve and not rely on same old. Would have preferred the rough edges of the Cream. Seems to have abandoned the superior electric Layla. Nice touch with Band tribute but no tribute ti his pal Beck, a sad omission. Good band with him. Solid show overall.
Great concert, I am excited 😊 Неперевершений. Ерік був на вищому рівні. Співак і людина з великої літери.
Great show, great time! Clapton's guitar talents still reign! Excellent show and awesome blues talent showed by all!
the show was everything a clapton fan could want. my only wish would be for him to play another song or two ,for the encore
Eric Clapton delivered one of the best show I ever watched. His setlist was very much closecto classic blues. Even he is 78 years young, he can still play and sing with no problem at all. His band is great too. Scotiabank arena disappointed again. The sound is somehow OK. There are many vendors who were not available. In addition, limited merchandise. This venue needs to step up for the concerts like this. Another positive note, nobody cares recording with cell phone anymore. We just want to have a good memory, thanks to that.
What a wonderful night! It was great to hear all of Eric’s classics. Was also great to see and hear the tribute to Robbie Robertson - a great Canadian! The band was tight and of course the guitar playing from Eric was amazing.
- Some fan interaction would have been nice . - Sound system was off . - Video did not include all of the musicians, especially the drummer . - Band was not introduced. - Encore … one song . Really ! I have been a Clapton fan for 40 years. Got several of his DVD’s . This was my first time seeing Eric live. I was happy he did play all of his top 40 . Perhaps I was just expecting a more lively experience . I also noticed the fans stood only 2-3 time for applause and it was not a full venue ovation so I guess I was not alone. Sorry this is just the way I feel .
Eric Clapton and his band put on a show!!!! Absolutely surpassed my expectations from start (Jimmy Vaughan) to finish. Long live the Blues!!!
Love Eric. The band was great. Would rather have seen 10 guitar solos, opposed to 10 keyboard solos.
