About

Flamingosis on Tour

Flamingosis' grooviness, hip-hop beats and electronic funk clash together to form a soothing and easy listening experience. The soulful music producer has been creating and sampling music since 2012. He is currently on his fall of 2022 tour, traveling across the United States and Canada. His live performances combine the groove of the '60s, the funk of the '70s and the electronic production of the 2010s, creating a serene soundscape with nothing but love and good vibes. Beginning to make music in 2012, Flamingosis released his debut, self-titled album in 2014. Since his first album, Flamingosis has created an onslaught of genre and time-bending hit albums, including Kahunastyle (2014), Newski (2015), Pleasure Palette (2015), Great Hair (2016), Bright Moments (2016), A Groovy Thing (2017), Flight Fantastic (2018), Maniacs (ft. The Kount) (2020), and Daymaker (2021).

Flamingosis Live in Concert

Born Aaron Velasquez in New Jersey, Flamingosis is currently based out of Brooklyn, New York. His name, Flamingosis, comes from a frisbee catch his champion freestyle frisbee dad would attempt when competing. Flamingosis began his musical career with beatboxing in high school. After performing his beatboxing skills at a local block party, Flamingosis knew that he "wanted to pursue music and make it more than just a hobby," as he stated in an interview with Saint Audio. Flamingosis' notoriety accrued over the previous decade, performing in the studio and onstage with world-famous acts such as Big Gigantic, GRiZ, Madeon, TOKiMONSTA, Matoma, and others. He has also performed at a number of music festivals, including Austin City Limits, Electric Forest, Okeechobee, Holy Ship! and Voodoo Music + Arts. Flamingosis has been influenced by artists J Dilla, Madlib, Flying Lotus, The Alchemist, 9th Wonder, Knxwledge, Ohbliv, and The Avalanches, and the energetic music producer's tracks have received acclaim from Pitchfork, MTV and THISSONGISSICK. With more than 700,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and top hits "Football Head" and "Down for the Fifth Time" combining for more than 27 million streams, Flamingosis is on a path to become one of the top music producers of his generation.

I love flamingosis! It would have been better entertainment if the entire band was on stage the entire performance. As well as for longer! Or if the event had another band or music to dance to after. Still such a great time :)
